Had a good server, but everything else was lackluster. Was not busy at all but the food was the worst I've had from this establishment. They were out of many things on the menu and what came out was atrocious. We waited 45 minutes for the food only to have much of it come out later than that. My companion's french toast was extremely soggy and her bacon was not cooked all the way through. My dumplings came out dryer than usual. Haven't been disappointed yet, and this location no exception. Seems they've trimmed the breakfast menu a bot (what happened to my Eggs in a Basket?), but the breakfast casserole greatly satisfied. Scrambled eggs mixed/on a bed of hashbrown casserole with bacon, fried onion rings (okay, could have skipped those, but they were delicious) and cheese. Add to tht the two biscuits (with gravy) and that breakfast will keep you going until dinnertime. Service was excellent. We were advised of a 30-minute wait for food due to volume and staffing, but our meal arrived in 15 minutes, so kudos to the staff. I wish I could give them a 0. But. Yesterday day we order online to get Cracker Barrel. On the website. If it wasn't on thing it was another thing that went wrong. I wanted to get a nice good old grilled chicken salad. I was order it online and it came time to pick the dressing. They did not really have anything I liked really. (Not saying your not going to find ever single dressing every place.) So I just went with a balsamic vinegar. Keep that in mind. I was also get some other things to. I got tater tots, kid hamburger with tots then for the brink a coke, chicken tenders, and cornbread we got some other things to. So we ordered the food. We ordered it around 6:35. They said it would take till 7:11. Which that was fine nothing wrong with that. My son went to go pick it up. Went in he got are food then they said "We did not have the corn bread so we gave you guys biscuits". He really could not do anything about that them trading out are food but he still was not happy. Then after that he went through the bag and the forgot like almost all of are things. Mind you he are still at the restaurant. Then they got are order right we'll he thought all right. He went back to the hotel. He got back at like 7:30 about. ( he really only knew what he got their not one else really. We got are food out. They did have my balsamic dressing. They gave me honey mustard and we weren't going to go back their and I really did not even want balsamic dressing. So I just had honey mustard. The honey mustard was clumpy. I never had honey mustard before so I left it alone. My husband got a hamburger and he ask for ketchup on it didn't get that not even on the side. My grand daughter also asked for ketchup on the side and didn't get that either. We also order coke did get that. The food wasn't even that great either. Are biscuits were hard on the outside and just straight up dough on the inside. I had put the honey mustard on my salad. I did mind it. But I could not even finish even half of my salad. Came back after about a year. The pancakes are great. They got rid of the yogurt breakfast which was are favorite and go to meal no matter what time of day. I tried the chicken BLT, it was tasty but don't think I will get it again. They are also severely under staffed but the people they do have working work hard to make sure you get what you need. read more

Pecan Pancakes every time for this girl! I was meeting a friend here for breakfast. I realize I can count on Cracker Barrel for a tasty meal. I believe every place has the same setup. You walk into the Country Store with the dining area to the left. Every table has the Golf game with the large checker table by the large fireplace in the front. This location is very clean. The service here has always been friendly and attentive. My coffee cup was never empty or even below half full. Our food was prepared quickly with the same good consistent flavor. I ordered Mama's Pancake breakfast with pecan pancakes, egg beaters and turkey sausage. Their pancakes are always so delicious. They are filled with plenty of pecans. I would recommend these every time for a filling breakfast. This location of Cracker Barrel does a good job with service and food. Since it's right off of 75, it's a place for locals and visitors. I'm sure I will be here again on my next visit to Michigan. read more

My bachelorette party was at Cedar Point this past Saturday, so on the drive down we stopped at Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Things started off fine. Short wait, especially considering it was a Saturday morning. Waitress was ok - not rude, not bubbly/outgoing...just middle of the road, kind of monotone. That's fine, I'd rather have that than fake or rude. She took our order, walked to the back, and returned to the table within 1-2 minutes to inform my cousin they were out of oatmeal. Huh? How do you run out of oatmeal...on a Saturday morning??? Oook. MINUTES after our order was taken, another waitress brought out my sister's & niece's order - 2 out of 7 of our orders. 15 minutes later, our remaining 5 orders were brought out - my sister and niece were bites away from finishing their meals! Our waitress never said anything about this either. Nothing. She passed out all the orders and set a plate of eggs and turkey sausage in front of me and told me, "Your biscuits and gravy are down there" and pointed to the end of the table (we were sitting at 2 tables pushed together) before walking away. What??? I was so confused. I had no clue what anyone else ordered, and didn't know why my food would be at the opposite end of the table. Apparently, 2 of my girlfriends' meals came with biscuits & gravy, so instead of plating them up separately they plated them up together - with the same single order size bowl of gravy...that 3 people are supposed to share??? When did Cracker Barrel become "family style?" I've never had that happen to me before. Generally everything is plated separately and put in front of the person who ordered it. That was strike 2. Strike 3 - she never brought my grits and didn't remember she forgot them either. I had to ask her for them. Strike 4 - the sausage was BONE DRY! It was so dry it scratched my throat when I swallowed it and actually made me cough! The only good part about my breakfast were the biscuits & gravy. Eggs sucked. Turkey sausage sucked. Grits sucked. If I ever come back to this Cracker Barrel location, it would only be for the store, and that's unlikely seeing as how it's nearly an hour away from me. read more

We got in there about 3 - 3.5 hours until closing time. We were informed once our food was delivered that they don't have any bread, biscuits, or corn bread available, but she would bring them out as soon as they were ready. It's kind of like a steak house being out of steaks. I mean, cornbread and biscuits are a STAPLE SIDE at every location I have ever been to, and they didn't have any available?? Was their cook on break or was someone in the kitchen too dang lazy to make them??? That was a first for me at any Cracker Barrel I have ever been to. Any other time, biscuits are brought right after your drinks, and usually you are asked if you want more later in your meal. We were done with dinner and she asked if we wanted desert?? Still no biscuits or cornbread I asked? She said, oh, did you still want them? I can check. SMH. She comes back out and said none are available, do you want to go boxes. I said yes. Less than a minute later, I see a waitress bring a bowl of biscuits and gravy to a customer. I was about to get rude, but then our waitress came out and asked if we wanted some to go, which of course I said yes. The other two issues we had were both with my daughters meal, eggs ordered over easy, but came out fried, and the waitress forgot about her apples. The place was far from busy, and there is really no excuse for there to not be BISCUITS AND CORNBREAD available. The cashier asked if everything was good, and told her my issues. She asked if I wanted to talk to a manager, and I told her it wouldn't fix anything, so there is no point. My view is if the manager is not aware of what isn't being prepared in the kitchen, there are far more pressing matters in this establishment. Came here to eat with a few friends that live in Michigan. We don't have these in California. We put in our name and wait time was about 35 minutes. They have a store inside where you can hangout and shop before eating. It's country themed. We finally got sat down. I ordered Fried Turkey. It was delicious! Also had sweet potatoes. This place is just awful. Gave it a second chance after the first bad experience and tonight was just as bad. Last time we went, they were out of damn near everything and didn't tell us till after our party of 9 ordered. Not their fault for being out of it, but should've told us ahead of time before everyone ordered and sat there waiting for 10 minutes. So tonight we called ahead of time to see if they had catfish (learning from our mistake last time we went) and the lady said that they did. So we drove 30 minutes, ordered, and waited 10 minutes. And guess what?! They have catfish but it's frozen so they won't be preparing it. What?! You're 2.5 hours from closing, why is it frozen? So now we're pissed and she asks if there's anything else we may have wanted, we told her no we're not getting anything and that we were just gonna go. She comes back with a bill for 1 sweet tea that I didn't even touch! We told her we are not paying for that, take it up with the manager because that is bullshit. Not only that, but the people we were also with had ordered mashed potatoes as a side to their order. Once they got it, the potatoes were hidden under the food to hide the fact that they just took a baked potato and half assed smashed it up. We weren't the only ones having problems either. After driving most of the evening from Ohio my family and I were long over due for some dinner. There's not too many sit down restaurants for the first few exits into Michigan but once we saw a billboard for Cracker Barrel we had to stop! Service was excellent. Our waitress, Nancy, made sure we always had refills, napkins, everything. My sister and I order the chicken tenderloin plate with two sides. I had macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes while she had fresh apples and fried okra. My aunt had the chicken and rice dinner with corn and cole slaw. Food was excellent! Best part about it was good came out piping hot just 10 minutes after ordering our food. Everything was very fresh, cooked perfectly and not over done or undercooked. Nancy even made sure we had carryout counters with lids for our sauces and extra jam for the biscuits. Menu is very large and prices may seem a bit high but really you get more than enough food for your money. Everyone I seen dinning was taking home leftovers. Breakfast is served all day and they actually give you the breakfast menu even when you're there during dinner hours. Kudos to the staff for not having to ask for one! (I contemplated getting breakfast for dinner) Place was very clean and staff was very friendly. My parents love Cracker Barrel, but they only stop in when they are on vacation. Its a special treat that they save for these moments. This is the closest Cracker Barrel to them where they feel far enough away from home that it's time to get some breakfast. It was early in the morning after a snow and the interior was COLD, but there was a fire raging in the fireplace and we got to sit very close to it, which helped immensely. Service was prompt and the waitress brought plenty of cream for my coffee, but everything else seemed to come in 1's. 1 requested Jam, 1 Bottle of Pancake Syrup, 1 packet of butter, etc. I don't know if this is a Northern mentality vs a Southern one, but Cracker Barrel in the south will bury you under a mountain of condiments if you ask for anything. YUMMY yummy for my tummy. I came here on Saint Patrick's Day. To celebrate the Saint who brought the gospel to Ireland!! I ordered the Corned beef and cabbage. The corned beef was tender along with potatoes and carrots. I followed that with a nice large coke. I also ordered the Coca-cola Cake and shared it with my mother. The cake was moist and warm served with a side of vanillia ice cream. My waitress was Connie, sweet soft spoken lady. I love the quiet old fashioned ambience, we went about 3:30 pm, so the after work crowd was not there yet. The store was clean. The ladies' restroom smelled weird. I like Cracker Barrel. I think they have good food and service. I like the way the restaurants are decorated with old items and the fire place. I'm fond of several of their meal but frequently end up going with the Fried Steak, Meatloaf, Regular steak or a Burger. I like all of their side items but am a sucker for the dumplings. I also like their country store Ya I'm sure it's probably supposed to be more for ladies and seniors probably but I like the fact that each store carries unique items that represent their areas such as local items or that States university stuff. read more

Sorry for one star but this has been a long time coming. This place is filthy and it has been for years. Start with the drape valances above the windows. They have not been touched in years. They are so dirty they just hang in tons of dust, and are so ugly. The walls, the ceiling fixtures, the decor need a scrubbing bad. I also don't think they mop either. When the waitress started sweeping my husband started sneezing so bad that we had to leave. Our food wasn't bad but the mashed potatoes were hard on top and cold. The service was substandard. We never could get a refill on our tea. Cracker Barrel use to be so good but I can't eat at a place that's so dirty and neglected. I have to wonder about the kitchen that I can't see. Clean it up! Put up some cute valances that complement the stores theme. Do some new wall decor and scrub that ceiling and floor. read more

Dependable My visit was on a Tuesday Morning at 8:00. I was not greeted upon my arrival because you must go through the "store" to get to the entrance for the restaurant. I stopped by the entrance as instructed by a sign. I was acknowledged by a employee who was working behind the store counter. I was seated and the waitress asked if I would like coffee. "yes" I said. After looking over the menu I decided on the Sunrise Sampler. My order arrived pretty quickly the restaurant was practically empty with only 4 other customers within sight. Everything was arranged on the table in front of me. On the main platter was Two over-medium eggs (perfectly cooked but on the small side), a small portion of their famous Hashbrown Casserole, A piece of "thick- sliced" (normal looking to me) bacon, A small slice of country ham, and a sausage patty. The smaller plate included twp biscuits, small serving of Sawmill Gravy and a small serving of grits. A single serving bowl of Fried Apples was also placed in front of me. Butter and "Dickinsons"jelly were also included. Good thing it was a large table as this took up quite a bit of real estate. This mind you was a "Sampler" Yes you get some of just about everything. Everything tasted as you would expect. Just like the picture that is advertised my meal closely resembled what they promised, but not as pretty. All of my choices on the first platter were hot, flavorful, and not greasy. Biscuits were tender and flaky. I am sure the Sawmill Gravy was good if you like this type of gravy I personally do not. I've seen water that pour slower than the syrup they give you at the Cracker Barrel. Sausage patties don't taste a lot like pork

I have eaten at Cracker Barrel before and the food was good, that is why I gave three stars. At this location I can't say if the food is good or not, we never got any. When we arrived for lunch it was about a 20 minute wait for seating, no problem with that. Then we were seated and waited about 10-15 minutes before our server came to take our order. We ordered drinks and meal at the same time, then waited another 10 minutes for the drinks. Drinks come, waitress is nice, by the way, and we wait some more for the food. 15 to 20 more minutes go by and the waitress comes over and says they are out of one of our orders, what else do we want? She was nice as I said, but that was a really long time to wait before mentioning that they didn't have the food. We had been there around an hour at that point and didn't want to keep our daughter waiting for lunch much longer. We decided to go somewhere else and ended up eating a sub in a gas station parking lot. I don't think I will want to go back to this Cracker Barrel any time soon.
