Hashbrown Casserole Shepherd's Pie

The ambience is always good and a great place to take kids. If you want to have a quiet lunch/dinner don't go to CB. But then again, it isn't designed for that. I ordered a new menu item. Hashbrown shepherds pie. Don't get it unless you want big hunking meats and large pieces of carrots. There was barely any gravy and hashbrowns were more than a little well done. My husband had the smallest piece of meatloaf available (probably the "end" of the loaf. But the grandkids were happy. The waitress was friendly and frequently stopped by with the coffee pot.

I have been a fan of Cracker Barrel since I was a child. I will always remember ordering the "Uncle Hershel's Breakfast" during a family vacation as we drove to Florida. I think I was 10 or 11 years old at the time, and I could not imagine the look on my face when the server put down 3 or 4 plates of food in front of me! I also enjoy the ambiance of Cracker Barrel - country eclectic. The old fashion candies, to the vintage items on the walls or hanging from the ceiling, to clothing and home goods - just a plethora of items to browse and take in. We also like going through the shop for seasonal items. Service is usually good even on those days when the restaurant is packed. Food selection is good, and prices are very reasonable. Bonus - you can get breakfast any time of day! Their pancakes are a fave of ours - with the flavor and slightly crisp edges = yum.

Pecan pancakes are the best. Never had a bad meal here. Biscuits and gravy are very good too.

I've seen water that pour slower than the syrup they give you at the Cracker Barrel. Sausage patties don't taste a lot like pork

The…read morelobster roll and poutine were both very good, which isn't something you can take for granted at a waterfront spot that could easily coast on location alone. That said, the space feels like it's still finding its identity. The bones are there, but the atmosphere lacks the warmth and character that would match the quality of what's coming out of the kitchen. Right now it reads a bit generic - like those overly curated Airbnb interiors where everything looks fine but nothing feels intentional. The details seem a little unfinished, rough around the edges. With some thoughtful touches - maybe a richer, moodier paint color and some meaningful art that reflects the local character or the restaurant's personality - this place could really come together. The food deserves an environment that matches its ambition.

We asked before we sat down and they admitted that they were behind a little. So we sat down anyway. The outdoor space is beautiful and great to relax with a drink. The service was slow, but we knew it sitting down. The food was very good too. Looking online it looked like they had more dinner type options, but the menu was pretty much apps, handhelds, and some bowls. So overall...solid 4 stars. Service was slow but if you're not in a hurry and looking for a nice relaxing place to have some good drinks by the water and some good food for a later meal or something, it's a great place.

The staff here is very friendly, and the food does not disappoint! The ambiance is nice too, and fitting for crowds of all ages. There's a pretty wide variety of options, and everything I've had has been great. Pricing is good. The entire staff was great. Special shout out to Amber who remembered me after my first visit and always made me feel welcome, whether she was serving me or not. Hannah was also a great bartender with a helpful attitude and consistently made great cocktails. Katie was a great server with a good attitude and was very personable. There aren't many places I've experienced in my travels that I would go out of the way to return to; BUT, Brass Monkey is an exception. I can't wait to come back.

We had a variety of items-sandwich, burger, wrap and wings. All were well received. I had the wings which were different from most and delicious. Ambiance is typical semi dark bar. There weren't many tables filled which made me curious why it took so long. Would I go back? Yes just to see if it was an off day - the food was good. Service/timing???
