Soooo although we really missed the hog and dog since it's closed down....we couldn't resist to try this new place that opened after that old bbq joint closed down and MAN O MAN we were not disappointed! They definitely seemed to have it cleaner in there than hot and dog, they do not give you menus although I am sure they have paper ones. They have a scan code for the menu. If your phone is dead....no problem, they have USB ports for that as well so you can charge your phone. I liked the lights and the vibe inside. When we got in there, we were sat immediately by Stephanie and she was awesome! Excellent customer service! She busted her tail with like 6-7 tables by herself too! What a really nice sauce, I ordered it on the side and I wish I would have asked for more for my leftovers lol. Mashed potatoes were creamy and had chunks of potatoes in them which I really liked! My pork looked a little pink on the bottom but just ask for a temp on that. I can easily nuke that in the air fryer Philly Cheese Steak. It was really good the horseradish may was great! We've visited Crave many times in the past, but this time was different. Our son was recently diagnosed with celiac disease, so we're starting to look at restaurants through a new lens. I reached out to the chef (who's also the owner) ahead of time to ask how they handle gluten allergies and cross-contamination. He was incredibly knowledgeable about celiac disease and assured us he'd take great care in preparing our son's meal. When we arrived, he followed through on every promise--he was fantastic with our son's food and even had gluten-free bread available. It made the experience so much easier and more enjoyable for our whole family. We'll definitely be visiting Crave regularly! We were so excited that a new restaurant opened up a few blocks from our house and finally tried it tonight. We were not disappointed! The service was friendly and fast, the prices were reasonable, the portions were huge, and the food was delicious! I ordered the southwesterner chicken salad and the flavors and textures were awesome and complex. There was plenty of chicken for the salad. Dave ordered the el jefe sandwich and he loved it (I had a bite and the flavors were awesome). We shared a piece of the bread pudding for dessert and it was probably the best bread pudding I've ever had! They make this homemade salted toffee sauce they pour over it which takes it to a whole new level. We will definitely become regulars at this spot! Today I had lunch with my mom. We had heard about Crave at Rock Springs, so we gave it a try. WOW! From the moment we walked into the restaurant, we were treated like family. The service was outstanding. Mom ordered the Cuban sandwich with onion rings. Cheese steak, with onions, mushrooms and, add jalapenos for me please. Definitely try the beer battered FF. The food was EXCELLENT! The restaurant was spotless. Even better, the chef and owner, Robert stopped by our table to introduce himself and check on our satisfaction. We will be back. Driving around looking for a place to eat is always a struggle. That's why I was glad my dad suggested we try this place out! We'd seen plenty of good reviews on Crave but we'd yet to try it. The first thing you'll notice as you step in, there's that distinct but homely diner feel to it with just a touch of refinement. Immediately we were greeted by Stephanie who asked us for our names. She had such a cheerful and friendly demeanor, that it made us feel immediately welcome. We were addressed by name in a way that was not intrusive but rather welcoming. She also mentioned tidbits about the chef that implied he aims to grow and cater to his guests, which is always a good thing. For an appetizer, we ordered potato skins. They were very crispy and had a flavorful taste, I will note they were a bit oily. The sauce they came with was a modified sour cream that seemed to have some type of herby taste to it. When asked, Stephanie later clarified it was a seasoned sour cream created by the chef. When put on top, it provides a cool and creamy contrast to the potato skins. My Dad ordered the Create Your Mac with fried chicken, broccoli, and mushrooms. While I chose to order the meatloaf. Something to note, the portions are hearty and will be filling. my dad was happy with his bowl and mentioned that the fried chicken was super juicy and that the breading was light. After stealing a bite, I'd compare the sauce to a slightly cheesier alfredo sauce. My meatloaf came with the chef's choice of veggies and mashed potatoes. The sauce on top was tangy and full of flavor, and the mashed potatoes were creamy with lots of texture. The veggies, to my surprise, were perfectly cooked and wonderfully seasoned with a pinch of salt. The meatloaf itself was very juicy and flavorful. My only complaint lies in the amount of sauce on top of my meatloaf. It was just a bit too much for me, although that's more of a personal preference than a food problem. Finally, for dessert, we ordered the bread pudding.....Reporting live after taking a bite of the bread pudding. I think I'm ascending. The chef has truly mastered making bread pudding. Every bite was an absolute pleasure to take. It was soft and smooth with lovely notes of spices and toffee. I've gotten take out a handful of times here and enjoyed each experience. The location is off the beaten path & sometimes forget it's there since I almost never venture into that dead zone of Apopka. I typically order the grouper sandwich, fish and chips and it's scrumptious everytime. It's so hard to find fresh seafood so this place makes up for the mediocrity.The employees are friendly & kind. This is a small diner with interesting decor and tasty food. I had the fish and chips with sweet tea. The haddock was really good. Usually the fish gets lost in the breading. This fish was fluffy and cooked to perfection. The fries were seasoned well. The coleslaw needed a little salt and white pepper but it was palatable. I plan to go back again and try other things; especially the bread pudding. Crave is a hidden gem and the table service is awesome. read more

My wife and I have visited twice in the past week. Once for breakfast and once for dinner. We both feel that the food was excellent on both visits. Breakfast we had the chicken and waffles, and the sausage gravy and biscuits. Both items were very good and the waitress was attentive. Dinner we had the potato skins AMAZING, could tell they were homemade. then my wife had the grouper sandwich and i had the mother clicker sandwich. I gave it four stars mostly for the wait staff, Abby since she was personable, helpful and very pleasant. I tried a bite of the burger and the grouper sandwiches, both were pretty good. We started with wings, they were $.75 each for a Thursday special. The garlic Parmesan wings were lathered with a thick sauce that was not very tasty. The sweet Thai wings were delicious. The best part was that the wings were larger than most restaurants serve. I ordered a 1/2 chicken plate with delicious vegetables and crinkle fries. But, the chicken was undercooked so, I sent it back to be cooked thoroughly. I was full after eating out of everyone's plate while waiting for my chicken. I brought the chicken and fries home,, but I smelled a rosemary rub on the chicken, a spice I get sick when I eat it. The description of the chicken was 'Mediterranean Chicken'. I have never tasted rosemary in any Mediterranean spice in the past and had to throw this dinner away. Be leary of the printed menus online, they're outdated and prices were much higher than expected. We ordered the bread pudding for dessert, although it was okay, it was dry in the center, we all decided we've had better. read more

Typically a club sandwich is three pieces of bread a lot of turkey and ham piled high bacon lettuce tomato and mayonnaise . This $16 club sandwich had two pieces of bread , one slice of deli thin turkey one slice of deli thin ham one slice of deli thin American cheese . Maybe a quarter of an inch of lettuce and a couple slices of tomato . The worst Club I've ever had . The most measly Club I've ever had . The most expensive Club I've ever had . The other prices on the menu were way more than other local restaurants for the same thing . So very disappointed . Should have gone to the Rock Springs run restaurant across the street . read more

Everything was SPECTACULAR!! My family and I came across this restaurant from reviews online. We were immediately seated and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. One of the things I appreciated most from this restaurant is the hospitality. Our waitress, Steph, took our order without having to write anything down. Usually, when I order food in other restaurants there are mistakes with the order. Yet, even though I asked for specific changes to my order (and more dishes with some changes), Steph brought us EXACTLY what we asked for. She also knew precisely what I needed without me having to ask. For example, I had needed new napkins but did not mention it, yet she instantly gave me a few when she checked in on our table. She was incredibly sweet to us and asked about ourselves as well. Secondly, THE FOOD!!! We ordered vegan burger, wings, an "everything burger", and bread pudding. Good vegan burgers are hard to find, yet this one was SPECTACULAR. The wings were perfect as well and the everything burger was incredibly delicious. I ended up saving some wings to eat later, and was refilled a side of ranch. It all arrived to our table at the same time and were all at a good price. When it comes to dessert, we were recommended the bread pudding. The bread pudding was my favorite dish, and it basically melted in our mouths. I've never had such a good bread pudding before until now. SUPERB!! All in all, everything was 10/10. So when you want to eat, GO TO CRAVE!! "Large" side of fries ($6) was more like the menu priced $3 side portion in a 1/2 filled bowl but tasted good. side salad ($6) was ample.
