    At 66th & Roosevelt (4/13/26)

I looked forward to checking out Crawfish Chef because despite being in the PacNW, never had a seafood boil. I remember seeing folks dining with absolute bliss back at a Baltimore restaurant after attending a conference decades ago. That memory stuck with me. Parking is tight in the Roosevelt District. However, there are a variety of Metro bus lines and its proximity to the Roosevelt stop via light rail. I did manage to find a 2 hour zoned parking stop two blocks away near Roosevelt High School, score! The Homie and I were enthusiastically welcomed upon entering (4/13/26). Most likely because we arrived right at 3pm, lol. Upon seating, we were provided with menus, ice waters, and four sauce samples. This was very helpful to decide what our respective sauce bases would be. We were also provided gloves, bibs, and additional Cajun spice and lime wedges. This restaurant has floor to ceiling windows to allow for natural light, albeit tinted. Nice airy feeling with additional lighting. With the exposed ceiling, probably gets a bit loud and lively when its full capacity. Decent music playing while onsite. There's specific table and counter seating for 21+. The rest of the dining room has lots of tables with 2, 4, and 6 top configurations. This was our first visit to Crawfish Chef. Our helpful and knowledgeable waitperson, Kay, said that they had been open for approximately one year. Clearly, I had been blind when flying southbound on Roosevelt Way. There is quite the selection for beverages and the variety of menu items for apps/sides, rice & noodle dishes, seafood boil choices, seafood baskets, group combos, wings, po boy sammies, two choice kids menu, and dessert specials. Note: the posted market price on the white board for particular seafood/shellfish items. Wait staff is helpful to provide additional info about happy hour and group combo deals (like $5 cocktails at HH!). The Homie ordered garlic cheese bread and the headless shrimp with the house sauce. This comes with potato and corn in the seafood boil bag. Once opened and placed in the dining tray, he added more Cajun seasoning and lime juice. I selected the shrimp egg rolls (has also pork, taro, carrot & other veg) with sweet chili sauce (like Mae Ploy). These are generously filled four egg rolls. Terrific appetizer! I'm usually a shrimp fanatic, but decided to go a different route and selected clams with garlic butter for my seafood boil. Throughout our meal, we were checked on by Kay and her other two colleagues. Water refilled. Our respective sauces were also kindly placed in takeout containers...this will be amazing with pasta at home! Pro tips: pull out napkins out of the dispenser before placing on gloves. Definitely, don the provided gloves and bibs. Folks with long hair - time to break out the clips or scrunchies. Use the straws in your bevs. This was an enjoyable, unique, delicious, and generous dining experience. We both left full. We skipped the cocktail and dessert options this time. But after this initial try, we'll definitely be back! **Props to Kay, our wait person. She was really personable, helpful, and knowledgeable during our visit**

Such a fun place to enjoy seafood boil! Near u district! We had shrimps (head on) with lemon butter (sauce on the side) and we also got 1lb of fresh crawfish with house sauce, along with the crab fries for a little appetizer ($17). We wanted to try the fish tacos or ceviche appetizer, but they were sold out so we ended up going with the crab fries with spicy mayo on the side. It was a great carb to help break up all the seafood it provided a nice balance. The seafood boil with sauces and the salt / lime mixture were a little bit rich after a while so I'm glad we got all the sauces on the side. Between my husband and I we actually finished all the food, but we were definitely full after the meal. Great service and fun atmosphere! They provide bibs and gloves which help keep things somewhat tidy. We have been to other locations, but glad we got to try the Seattle location this time around! Free parking for 2 hrs in the garage and also there is free street parking as well.

I love doing seafood boils a couple times a year. This is the second location I've visited, and I think Crawfish Chef may be my favorite seafood boil restaurant. The food was amazing. The staff was very friendly. Their sauce was delicious. I really appreciated that they brought out the sauces to taste test so we could see what we liked. Seafood isn't cheap so prepare for that. But the shrimp and crawfish were very good sized. It was very filling. My only complaint is the music wasn't really family friendly, but it's in the background. Not a big deal. I highly recommend this location.

I regret not getting their Thai tea after seeing the photos from other Yelpers! Since it was our first time visiting, the waitress gave us a sample of their different sauces for the seafood boil. I think I liked the Garlic Butter the most, with the Lemon Pepper the second. As for the food: The crab fried rice was amazing. Separated grains that aren't clumpy is the hallmark of a good fried rice, and this one met the mark. I liked how the crab was real crab, not "krab" and it had the sweet taste of fresh crab. I think they hand pick the meat themselves since there was a bit of crab tendon in the rice (not an issue for me). Good ratio of rice to other ingredients with slices of cucumber and tomato to help refresh your palate. The catfish po boy sandwich was pretty good. The fry on the catfish is amazing. Poorly fried fish will have the breading slough off the meat in an unappetizing sheet, but this breading was rock solid and did not come off! The Cajun fries were heavily seasoned which made it a bit too salty for me. The Parmesan garlic fries - wow they give you a lot. The fries are fried a little past having the perfect fluffy interior, but I would rather slightly over fried than under fried. They do not taste fishy at all (a concern I always have when I get fried non-seafood items at a seafood place). I ate these with the garlic butter sauce sample to amp up the allium. Also, I've never had a seafood boil before, so watching other people enjoying it inspires me to get one next time. I love how it looks like the restaurant give you thick vinyl gloves to slip on before you indulge in the sensory experience of cracking into succulent seafood! The table next to ours ordered a side of white rice to drizzle the sauce over, which is an excellent idea. Definitely going to keep that in mind next time. Protip: The 1 line light rail station is one block away, so consider taking it as opposed to driving since street parking can be difficult to find.

Four of us came to the Crawfish Chef on Roosevelt in Seattle to try a seafood boil and specifically the Crawfish as I don't believe I've ever had these crispy crustaceans before. Everything was super flavorful and freshly prepared. The sauces that we chose were also pretty good. We had the lemon garlic butter and the Cajun butter. The boil contained crab, shrimp, and crawfish, corn on the cob and potatoes all served in our chosen lemon garlic butter. The Cajun butter cost extra and was served in a container on the side. The venue was very large with a two story ceiling which made it very spacious but loud. The server we had was super friendly and helpful and offered to open the steaming hot boil bag for us and gave us tips on using the utensils. This was a fun experience for two of my kids that joined us as they hadn't had a seafood boil before. Great event to try something new.

Their crab fried rice is special. Yes I know they are a seafood boil place, but that crab fried rice was probably the best crab fried rice ive ever had. I also tried 'very well made' fried catfish basket with 'tasty' fries and a 'delicious' alcoholic drink who's name I cant remember. Dont even ask what the appetizer i ordered because we ate it so fast; Either I had to have been that hungry or it had to be that good. I do however remember my amazing service. They didnt make me feel neglected in any way and really helped us with the ordering process. Solid down do earth waitresses indeed. However, i must admit they weren't busy, which was a surprise based on the quality and price range. Meh, my food came out quick and I had amazing service ao them not being busy probably worked out in my favore. The interior was also decorated very appropriately for a seafood boil spot. Very open design that still had separate dinning zones. The mirror next to our table provided additional fun photo opportunities. Oh yea, and They passed my clean utensils test as well as my drinking water test, as most seattle area restaraunts do these days. One thing im disappointed about was missing their happy hour. Their drinks are delicious and the happy hour prices are great. Its only been a week or so and im already planning my next visit for more food and happy hour drinks....

Service: super friendly, regularly checking in you, ya get your food fast. Location: close to u district, plenty of parking by the Roosevelt track, safe neighborhood Ambience: big restaurant, clean, lots of tables, crab decor is cool Food: delicious! Crab fried rice had a nice wok hay, catfish was crunchy, Thai tea wasn't too sweet, fresh fries. Good food portions Will be back to try more of their menu! Do check them out!

Good seafood boil to try here! We had their combo with snow crab and shrimp and it was good! You're able to choose their sauce prior to have it cooked with the seafood. I forgot which one it was (likely had garlic), but it was pretty good! The snow crab was very tasty and there was a decent amount of it. The shrimp was okay. The biggest problem for me was that it was a bit overcooked. It also came with corn and potatoes which was nice. The service was iffy. The server was nice, but the service was extremely slow. It seemed they were short staff as well. The combo cost around $70 which is a bit pricey. The ambiance is decent. There's plenty of seating but I didn't enjoy how all of the TVs were playing kid shows.

I really enjoyed this. The staff was friendly, constantly checking on us. The Crab Fried Rice was well seasoned and a nice brightness with the fresh green onion. The Soft Shell Crab basket was so good! The fries were crispy, the Soft Shell Crab was well seasoned, crispy and delicious! We also added some fresh raw oysters that were sweet and briny. I got the Shrimp Boil with the House sauce. Tangy, garlic with a delicious butter flavor. The shrimp came out tender and succulent. This really was a delicious treat!

My wife and I came here for dinner the other night and had a good time we got a pound of shrimp and crab fries. It was plenty of food for two people. I really enjoyed the boil I thought it was well seasoned. The crab fries were a bit disappointing. The crab didn't taste like much. Service was friendly and we were well equipped to keep our clothes clean. I would happily return here.

Crawfish Chef has good food overall, especially the sauce. The flavors are solid and I appreciated that they offer sauce samples before you order. It's a nice touch and helps you choose what you'll actually enjoy. The seafood itself was cooked well and tasted fresh. That said, there isn't anything particularly unique or memorable about the restaurant compared to other Asian seafood boil spots. Parking is also difficult to find, which can be frustrating. The prices are noticeably higher than average: the combo boils are about $10-12 more than most similar Asian seafood boil restaurants, and the sides are very expensive for what you get. The raw oysters were especially overpriced. Market price was about $5ish per oyster if you order 6, and $55ish for 12, which is even more expensive than some luxury oyster bars in Seattle and much higher than other Vietnamese or Asian seafood boil restaurants. Overall, the food and sauce are good, but the higher prices and lack of standout features make it hard to justify choosing this place over other options unless convenience or specific sauce flavors matter most to you.

The food was all very very good and we will def come back and try the seafood boil some time soon. The service was good except for a small hiccup with the bill but we got it sorted out quickly and without much fuss. There's lots of big windows so good lighting and it's close to the link stop which is nice too.

The cajun sauce is soo good and spice level med isn't too spicy it's perfect if you enjoy spice and still taste the flavor of the food. They give you samples of the sauces before you order so you can taste and choose! You can also customize your own but they have combos available which I think are pretty good. Servers are very attentive and they check up on you frequently. The place is spacious, there's a lot of seating!

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile and I am so glad I finally did! We ordered a few things to share and every single dish was delicious! Shrimp toast: this was a great appetizer to share! Very crispy and the sauces on the side gave it a more complex flavor! It came with a sweet mayo and chili sauce. The chili sauce is definitely spicy if you can't handle spice so beware on how much you're using if that's the case. I also really enjoyed the slaw that came with it, it was very refreshing and it had a bit of sweet mayo flavor to it, I think it's the same as the dipping sauce but I could be wrong! Fried oysters: these were delicious! I think fried oysters can be a hit or miss for me, sometimes the interior can feel too dry and feel kinda of mushy-like, like I'm eating bread rather than seafood. But this had great texture on the inside while being crispy on the outside! The sauce on the side tasted like a pepper aioli which gave the oyster a nice tang *the fried dishes were great but after having a few, it definitely felt heavy, so this would be something I share with someone else vs eating it on my own Smoked salmon belly dip: I really enjoyed this! It was creamy and had chunks of salmon in it. It wasn't too dense or thick so it was perfect for scooping onto the kettle chips. The kettle chips were lightly salted so it was the perfect combo with the dip. Clam chowder: wow I absolutely loved this! This is different than any other chowder I've had. While I love a white creamy chowder from your typical seafood places, the base being a fish stock definitely brought out the seafood flavor vs a white chowder feeling like a cream base. This chowder still felt creamy and rich without the seafood flavor being overpowered. Rockfish bowl: the crab rolls were sold out by the time we made it to the register so we opted for this instead and I am so glad that we did. I didn't really expect this to blow me away but this was such a refreshing dish that balanced out the fried dishes we got. It used viet flavors that you may typically find in a banh mi which made it refreshing and had great texture from all the different fresh ingredients and fried garlic. I also loved how the fish came in patty form mixed with pork, it was flavorful and moist. I love any type of fish tofu/patty, I think it really makes fish flavorful when it sometimes can have a really mild flavor. I'll definitely be back to try the crab rolls!

So when I woke up still craving shellfish, RockCreek was the call. It was the right one. A dozen oysters to start: Kumamoto and Shigoku. Clean -- no grit, no sand. Whatever they're doing back there, it's working. The brine was full and present in every shell, and the mignonette hit that rare sweet spot of light but actually seasoned. The Winter Old Fashioned? Get it. It was so delicious. Then came the crab Benedict. The side salad alone was worth writing home about -- big, buttery, peppery leaves draped in one of those feather-light vinaigrettes that sounds simple until you try to replicate it at home and realize you can't. But the real star of the entire plate was the potatoes. Crispy outside, genuinely fluffy inside, seasoned with conviction. A masterpiece is not too strong a word. Closed with a glass of pink wine. Was eyeing the bottle with the piglet on the label, but it was bottle-only -- a distinction I find increasingly arbitrary as a former server and bartender. One day that policy will be a relic. The hot food could've come out a bit hotter rather than room temp and some of the other dishes were lacking salt and acidity. The fries were too heavily salted in my opinion. The food is good, but not something that will bring you back over and over again. The service on the other hand is incredibly good. Kind, thoughtful and incredibly authentic. We took my mother - a person who lives with disabilities and requires a mobility scooter. The staff went out of their way to help her feel comfortable and well taken care of. In my book - the staff of Duke's of south Lake Union are a solid 5 stars rating. And, the food is a 3'ish rating. Put together- it's a place that is worth visiting if for nothing else than the amazing staff. Oh, and the view on Lake Union is also really great, especially if you can grab a table near one of the patio heaters.

The outdoor…read morepatio near the water is genuinely lovely, and on a nice Seattle day, it's a great spot to grab a cold beer and soak in the view. Unfortunately, the experience beyond that left a lot to be desired. The host staff was unwelcoming and not particularly accommodating -- not exactly the warm first impression you'd hope for. Service throughout the meal was slow, which made what happened next all the more frustrating: despite the delays on their end, we were asked to leave at the two-hour mark. This would be understandable under normal circumstances, but we still had full drinks in front of us and several guests at the table were still actively finishing their meals. When slow service is the reason a table runs long, enforcing a hard cutoff feels tone-deaf at best. White Swan is a solid choice if you're stopping by for a casual patio beer -- the atmosphere earns its keep. But if you're planning a proper sit-down meal or a leisurely dinner out, you may want to look elsewhere.

The atmosphere is relaxing and perfect for enjoying a meal with family or friends. One thing to note is that they don't really have a dedicated kids' menu. The closest option was fish and chips, but my daughter wasn't interested in that. We ended up ordering the brisket for her, and she absolutely loved it! For the adults, we shared a burger and the fishwich, both of which were delicious. The meals come with fries, or you can substitute a salad for an additional $2. The service was friendly, attentive, and surprisingly quick. The restaurant was completely full on a weekday at 7 PM, which says a lot about how popular it is, yet the staff still kept everything running smoothly. A helpful tip: don't pay for parking right away. The restaurant offers discounted parking--just scan their discount code at the entrance first. It cuts the parking cost in half and saved us quite a bit.

The European flair and intimate setting (only about 10-12 tables) make it feel like a well-kept secret. The quality is amazing! Everything is locally sourced and prepared with care. It is somewhat difficult to get a reservation, because the space here is very small and packed with tables. The one downside is that it is a little tight and can be difficult to hear. But I'll take that for the opportunity to eat here. And as long as you go in with the mindset that you might drop some serious coin on the meal, you're gonna have a phenomenal time. Because we were so close to our dining neighbors, I was actually able to ask them what they were eating since it looked so good. And that's how we ended up with some mind blowing fritters. A perfect appetizer to start the night. They have a great selection of wines that are actually reasonably priced to buy by the bottle. I'm pretty sure I saw someone taking one home that they drank a few bottles out of also, which is a first. I was impressed by the creativity of the dishes as well. I'm not one to be impressed by cabbage, or ever order it, but the charred cabbage looked enticing. The cheese on the bottom, seasoning, and dates transformed this ordinary vegetable into a star. And of course you gotta see what they're doing with the seasonal veggies. I can't seem to ever cook squash the right way, but they crafted it into the ideal consistency where it was almost meaty. That New York Strip was out of this world though... the garlic sauce that accompanied it was just enough of a flavor enhancer that it didn't take away from a steak that was cooked to the ideal temp. I'll be back for more!!

We were…read morepleasantly surprised by our experience and this was notably one of the better meals we've ever shared together. When we first arrived we were given the option of either the chef's counter or a table. I thought the chef's counter was a unique experience but for the night we opted for a table near the window. The space is intimate and even though there weren't many people there when we first got there, it still gave a warm and cozy vibe (quickly filled up though). The week of my friend's birthday they were only doing Seattle Restaurant Week, which I hadn't realized at first but the menu was amazing regardless. The staff was very attentive to us, constantly checking in on us and making any adjustments as needed. They thoughtfully walked us through our choices and when the food arrived. First we started with appetizers which I thought it was nice that you get to try all them and didn't have to choose one. The salad and asparagus is what you would expect, but they were perfectly done and not overly complex. The stand out was the Seared Tombo, the flavors of this dish were balanced and the fish was clearly very fresh! For our main we both got the halibut option, which came with a side of sunchokes. We had never had sunchokes before but were immediately in love (the fish was cooked to perfection too) but I loved the introduction of not so common ingredient. I thought it was a fun play on traditional "potatoes" almost. I'm glad we were able to try both of the desserts. My favorite was the tiramisu (I always love tiramisu). The carrot cake was more on the dryer side (almost like a cornbread), which isn't my preference but I enjoyed the flavors. Overall, really enjoyed this place and would definitely come back!

We got 4 appetizers, a pasta, an entree, and dessert. My fav items were the shrimp in polenta (shrimp was crispy without seemingly any breading, perfectly cooked and flavored) and the lamb skewers (well seasoned and cooked. Big fan of lamb in general). I also liked the deviled egg on kimchi, though it didn't taste like kimchi very much. The salad had too much dressing unfortunately and the crostini was interesting. We got a few drinks but my main impression is that they are strong! SERVICE Service here was so great and friendly. I only saw 2 front of house and 1 back of house so it's a small place. The front of house also bartend and make the drinks. I do wish the front of house explained the dishes a little more when they brought out the food. They told us the name of the dishes but as I was eating I realized it would've been nice to get a better idea of what was in it exactly, or halfway through I'd think "wait what else is in this?" AMBIANCE Tastefully decorated, small, and intimate. It was not busy when we came at all, with only up to 4 other tables having diners. I think this allowed the staff to focus on each table a little better without being overwhelmed. Overall had a good time. I admittedly wasn't blown out of the water but for $89/person for a fancier meal, I would say this is priced right for what you get (food, service, and ambiance included).

We were seated outside and had gorgeous views of the lake, downtown Seattle and all the sailors in Lake Union. We've visited in the past, and I recall the margarita being a highlight, so it was a MUST! It's on tap, and packs a powerful punch. This is 100% one-drink-buzz-girl approved. For apps, we started with the Marinated Geoduck. This was quite the trial of new foods for us. I had hoped for ceviche and our server convinced us to give this a try. It was deliciously marinated, served in fairly large pieces that fit nicely on a Ritz. I was proud of us for trying it - Yay us! Hubs and I shared the Seared Halibut. OMG - so buttery, flaky, melt-in-your-mouth. It was served on a bed of tartar, along with roasted green onion (?)(I think). We started off by inquiring about the rhubarb cobbler, which was highly recommended. It did not disappoint. So tangy, so tasty, simply superb! You don't often see rhubarb on a menu. This was better than expected! Great meal, fabulous evening!

And most importantly, the food was actually pretty good, full of great flavors yet surprisingly light, and nothing over powering. When the chicken came out a bit late, the staff apologized and comped a dessert and coffee for us which was really nice of them, it's such a thoughtful touch. They also brought out a candle and a personalized sign for our occasion, which made the moment feel personable and memorable. Overall, the ambiance, service, and food all came together beautifully. It was a memorable first visit and we'll absolutely be back for sure, forgot how nice PNW was on a beautiful sunny day. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience in a stunning setting overlooking South Lake Union, and if you're a pet lover like us, this place was pet friendly as we saw other guests bring their dogs for the outdoor seating. Fyi as a heads up, it's a bit pricey with an automatic 22% service charge applied (excludes gratuity). Thanks for the nice experience, you guys did a great job!

We come here a few times a year specifically for their happy hour - the prices are a bit higher than other spots, but you're paying for sustainably caught seafood, so it makes sense. Their complimentary sourdough bread basket is always a hit, too. The staff here is consistently friendly and welcoming, and the service is great every time.
