Cod fish with sweet potato fries
    Nancy Z.

We sat outside with our dog, overlooking the Sound. Great view, great service. Overall the fish and seafood was great. We really enjoyed the clam chowder, the cod fish and chips. The fish was super fresh and tender. Loved it. The xiao long bao was not great. The crab meat was nice but the skin was a bit thick. Felt like a frozen soup dumpling.

Amazing, amazing view! I think that's one of the main highlights of this restaurant. Especially during sunset, the atmosphere feels so relaxing and peaceful. I highly recommend sitting outside if they have available tables, not only for the view but also because the AC inside is extremely strong. We asked if they could adjust the temperature, but they said they couldn't since it controls the whole restaurant. They didn't give a very specific reason, so I'm not sure if they actually knew how to adjust it. Either way, bring a hoodie if you plan to sit indoors. We came here because we wanted to try Cajun seafood boil with Asian influences. Washington Mussels & Clams Combo -- served with toasted baguette and white wine garlic butter. There was very little garlic flavor, and honestly, we all thought it tasted a bit bland. The seafood didn't seem super fresh either, and overall it wasn't worth the price. Mermaid Platter (served with 5 corns and 5 potatoes) -- includes 2 snow crab clusters, 1 lb head-on shrimp, 1 lb green mussels, 1 lb crawfish, and 1 lb sausage. The sausage was very tasty and well-seasoned. Unlike the typical seafood boil served in a bag, this one came in a pan. In my opinion, it looked prettier served this way, but the seasoning wasn't mixed evenly. Some parts were bland while other parts were delicious. The shrimp were large, but unfortunately overcooked. We also added the bang bang noodles to the Mermaid Platter. The sauce wasn't mixed very evenly either, so make sure to dip into the extra sauce at the bottom before eating. Also, if you order it, try to eat it while it's still hot. Once it gets cold, the noodles become hard and chewy.

I went to Happy Crab for a girl's night out and then two other times with my partner. First of all, the views of the Sound are amazing! Their outdoor patio is a perfect place to enjoy a seafood dinner while you watch the sunset! Happy Crab offers a variety of fresh seafood; lobster, shrimp, scallops, mussels, crawfish and crab legs in different sauces ranging from mild to spicy. Their Happy Hour menu includes most of their regular menu items at a Happy Hour rate. For appetizers we had their coconut shrimp and sweet potato fries. The shrimp was crunchy and fresh and it tasted great with the dipping sauce. Plenty of food for two! For main dishes I built my own bowl with a 1/2 pound of scallops, fresh Biang Biang noodles with Cajun sauce and mild spice level. The scallops were cooked perfectly. The sauce and spices added a lot of flavor to the scallops. The noodles added an extra texture to the dish and complimented the scallops. There was so much food that I took the rest of it home! My partner ate my leftovers for lunch the next day. He loved it so much that he wanted to go. We ordered the same scalloped dish, and ordered the Seafood Combo Special "A, The Basics". There was so much food that we had leftovers! They have a full bar as well as nonalcoholic drinks. The last time we dined there the outdoor patio was open for Happy Hour and there were diners eating outside. The staff is very courteous and attentive. They refilled our water glass throughout the evening and checked with us to see if we needed anything. We plan to return in the summer to have dinner in their outdoor patio.

It was great!! Dropped in to check it out during Happy Hour to gauge for future, large party, family dinner event. Location is remarkable and very familiar (the old Anthony's spot). Happy Hour menu is the way to go. Tried the Basic. Super Good!! Price was just right. My server August was friendly, efficient and very informative about the longer menu. This will be Happy Crab's first full summer. Lots of seating outside. Chill vibe. Looking forward to hearing the piano player. We will be back. (The recent bad ratings here are humorous).

I give it a 3.5 is more to be exact it Ben open for 8 months still working on a buffet , the sign outside on the street said coming soon but that's for the buffet . On the day when we went there it look like it was closed at lunch but alki gun to the door there were several people already eating , very nice bathrooms and there is an area if you just want to wash your hands separately if you didn't want to go in. The view is fantastic , your at the " mouth of the locks ", I would just go back for the view , air condition inside , lots of different utensils for you to get down to business, extremely friendly staff but I never had the ore made combo it was okay but next time I think I would put my own spin on things. Btw there is another seafood place next day with a view but not close to the sea as we were but there is overpriced.

You're paying for the atmosphere, and nice service. Genuine compliments to the team putting in nice effort, but I just can't recommend choosing this spot. Seattle surrounding areas offers many other options for (in my opinion) better quality seafood, flavor, and options. The atmosphere is nice, and the menu was clear- but the quality and portion of food felt, underwhelming, and un-refined. Small icks like I had to ask for a cleaner spoon. Was told they don't have any sauce that comes with oysters, and they boast about the noodles, but are mushy and nothing special. Sorry, had higher hopes. Bubble tea drinks are mediocre.

We got custom boils with dungeness and snow crab, green mussels, sausage, and a noodle. Potatoes and corn are complimentary. They forgot to add a few items initially but more than made up for it by giving us large quantities of what was missing. The noodle was perfectly chewy and bouncy, the crab was flavorful (I think the dungeness was better than snow) and the mussels were meaty and delicious. Our sauce was a little salty but still really good with all the food. Would go again!

Beautiful location, great view of the water, and they have a massive parking lot! They had their patio door opened so there were quite a bit of flies buzzing around. Service was a hit and miss, the servers are very nice, but kind of slow and sometimes very attentive and sometimes not. We waited a bit to get seated and it wasn't even busy at all. It took about 25 mins to get our food. Food, it's pricey. Their dumplings were cold and didn't taste fresh. It was actually a bit dry. The seafood boil, it was also cold, and it's a seafood "boil," so it didn't live up to its name. And it taking 25 mins to get our order, I was hoping it was going to be hot for waiting that long. The boil itself came with a variety of seafood which was great, and there were some highlights. We liked the mussels, potatoes, corn, and shrimp. The crab legs and crawfish didn't feel the flavor penetrated into them.

Lunch at Happy Crab View is 5 stars. We wanted to watch a FB game as they had 6 TVs in one spot. Server said no problem and completely forgot. It wasn't busy but oh well. The seafood boil was ok; price was reasonable. Forgot to take a picture of the $18 jambalaya- this one is definitely not worth the price.

The view is absolutely spectacular. And whether you dine inside by a window or whether you dine on the patio outside, you're gonna have a great view of the Shilshole Bay waterfront. This place definitely has potential They just opened up recently so I'm sure they are still working out a lot of the kinks. They now have the full menu both daytime and evening, which is great. we tried three different menu items and shared them, I'd say the food is so so. it's got some zest and taste OK but is incredibly greasy and loaded with oil. I'm hoping that is just because the cooks are new and things are still getting worked out on recipes and learning to make them. Service was wonderful, especially the robot server who came out and joined one of the servers bringing some of our dishes out I definitely prefer humans over robots, but it was fun amusement to at least have the robot come and join the human servers and help out. I forgot to take a pictures of the bar, but the bar also looked really nice although it looks like at this point, they mainly have vodka & rum.

definitely one of the nicest seafood boils I've been to, it's right on the water and we came during sunset and the views were so nice. I've been here a few times now and overall I think it's good, with some mixed stuff. This is the first boil I've been to that has mala flavor which I really liked, you can also add hand pulled noodles which is fun. But I did try their happy hour which was very hit or miss. We tried the dumplings and those were very bad, very oily and the dumplings had no flavor on their own and the sauce didn't stick well to the dumplings. The calamari and that entire plate was soggy and not crisp or crunchy. The shrimp and grits were all right, very buttery - little too much for me but that's just me. The jambalaya wasn't bad and the mushroom thing was very rich but it was good. Overall I'll keep coming back

the worst birthday dinner I've ever had. I'm honestly beyond mortified with the whole experience. My cousin and I have ordered take out from here before and loved it. We've always enjoyed the food and the hostess has always been friendly when we walk in. Therefore, we decided to go there with my other cousin for my birthday to try it in the restaurant. When I ask earlier in the week, I was told they did reservations and birthday dessert. I went ahead to make an online reservation 2 days prior on the 22nd requesting a table in the MDF next to the piano and window because I wanted the view of the water for the 24th. I got a text about an hour & a half prior to show up on time for our reservation at 6pm for our reservation. We got there on time and was told our table wasn't ready. Matter of fact, we didn't have an assigned table & was sat in the bar area when i specifically requested to be put in the MDF. It took about 10-15 minutes for us to get seated which I didn't understand the point of me making a reservation if they weren't going to honor it, but whatever it wasn't that big of a deal. We sat down and got greeted by an older male server who took our order. We decided to get a customized seafood boil, a round of drinks, rice & garlic green beans. The drinks came out in a reasonable time, but our seafood boil took over 30 minutes. The couple in front of us had ordered only a few minutes before us, but got theirs well before ours. They were almost done eating by the time our food came. There was no communication about when our food was coming & when it did come, we were missing items. We asked our server for straws for our drinks and a third set of utensils/gloves since he only brought us 2 and we had 3 people to which he said no problem. However, he kept walking past us and we kept having to ask other servers for it who also kept forgetting... we asked once we had placed our order & still didn't get them until after our food came when we asked for the 4th time. The drinks were nothing special and we were at least expecting the green beans to come out to snack on, but they never did. My cousin even went up to the host stand after 30 minutes of being in the restaurant to inquire about our food and no one was even there nor did any server stop to help her so she just ended up sitting back down. When our food finally came, the boil was delivered by someone else who didn't take our order, so we assumed the other server would be following with our rice and green beans. Our "server" didn't come check on us until much later when we were almost done with the boil, so we had toa ask him to check on the green beans and cancel it if it wasn't done. He just apologized and walked away but never came back to confirm if it was taken off the bill. We never got our rice either which we had to tell him to remove as well once the bill came since it was still on. There was no follow up from management or the kitchen about our missing order. Our server was completely unaware of our food even though he rang it in. Not to mention, my cousin had to go to the host stand to try to pay because he never came back to check on us again and was nowhere to be seen. The hostess couldn't even find our check or server, so we just had to wait until he came back much later. There was no offer of a birthday dessert I was promised and we were just given a tablet to pay the bill. I had asked for a box prior to paying and he just gave me one with no lid... He told us he would bring a lid back and took over 5 minutes to remember to bring one. It was absolutely miserable having to wait on him throughout the whole night and to be treated so poorly on a special celebration. customized crab boil w/ mild cajun seasoning: the sauce is delicious & the seafood was well cooked, but the corn and potato were overcooked. The corn was so good when we did take out, but it was so mushy in person my cousin couldn't even eat it. They only give 1 per lbs so you have to pay extra. happy crab punch: good fruit notes, but strong vodka I forgot the name of the other drinks because they werent memorable nor did they taste good. I can't rate the other food we ordered because we never got it and I honestly wasn't planning on making a review, so I didn't get the photos I usually would. The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous and there's a large, free parking lot. It's sleek and modern with bright lightening. The restaurant itself is huge and there's many dining rooms, so would think by how upscale it looks the service would reflect that but it doesn't. The only hype about this place is the location by golden gardens which is how they must make their money. I wouldnt make the drive out here just for the food but especially factoring in our experience, I would highly strongly discourage people from coming here & wasting their money like we did. Never again.

Since my last review the restaurant has closed and reopened, and expanded their menu, to now include more dumplings and varieties of noodles. They also now have a very handy duo of ordering kiosks, which you order at prior to sitting down. I found their kiosks easy to use, which isn't always a given. This being my first visit back in a while, I had to get the spicy cumin lamb biang biang noodles. However I had to try some dumplings, so we shared the lamb dumplings, while my dinner buddy had the spicy cumin lamb rice noodle soup (the same kind of noodles you'd get at a ten second yunnan noodle type of place). They also now have a complimentary side dish bar that has seaweed salad, peanuts, and kimci, as well as some condiment type things like scallions and minced garlic. I helped myself to some seaweed salad to nibble on while waiting for our food, and it was good although food comes out quickly enough that you don't necessarily have to rely on it unless you're really chomping at the bit. The spicy cumin lamb biang biang noodles are just as good as I remember. The biang biang noodles here are perfectly chewy, and the rest of the dish has a lovely flavor aside from just spice. They're generous with lamb and cabbage which add a lot of textural variety to the plate. The lamb dumplings were the sleeper hit of the meal, filled with juicy, tender hunks of lamb surrounded by toothsome clearly hand-rolled wrappers. Absolutely do not skip the lamb dumplings. My dinner buddy really enjoyed her rice noodle soup with spicy cumin lamb, which I think would be a great option on a cold day. Everything is pretty much self serve here, so don't expect full service -- although they did stop by to refill our water once. The food here is so good, though, and prices are so reasonable, that I truly do not care that the experience is pretty bare bones otherwise.

Writing this sucks and also I feel like I'm giving a completely honest and fair review of last night (Friday, June 19, 2026) from 7 to 8:30pm ish. Two hairs - one in my kaisen champon, one in my partner's niku udon. A dead bug in the niku udon. A staff member walking the floor actively bleeding from his nose with a napkin stuffed into it. Any one of these on its own would have been a rough night. All three in the same meal is something else ‍ The kitchen is small and open so you can see and hear everything, which meant we also got a front row seat to the chef yelling at his staff multiple times throughout the evening. The team was clearly working hard and seemed genuinely understaffed, but the kitchen felt like it was coming apart at the seams. We were in line to order for about five minutes, during that time we heard the employee at the register say to the man in front of us that there is no more summer special cold udon flight. Bummer, but totally understand. The menus are acrylic boards at the ordering counter, there were two for the two specials and they were left up when we went to order. The employee told me that unfortunately they have run out of the other special (not the flight). She turned around to do something else for a bit, came back, so I ordered the flight and she said they don't have that either. LOL okay!! No worries! I asked if any of the udon can be made cold? She asked the head chef. He yells back that he has no time for this. Like a good one minute lecture, yelling at the staff. So sorry I made him yell at this poor girl I ordered kaisen champon and my partner ordered the niku udon. We waited for a good 30 mins for our food. Fine we like each other enough to spend time with each other and can clearly see it is chaos in the kitchen. We get our food. We didn't get utensils with our food, and were told "I'll grab utensils for you, sorry about that" So we just sat there waiting for utensils. Food is good but there are hairs and a bug ‍ During our time waiting the water wasn't ever filled (it's self serve) so after our food came I asked for water three times, kept getting "I'll refill it". The chawanmushi showed up 20+ minutes after our food, basically as we were finishing. And they don't have to-go containers, which fine, but worth knowing. I've given this place real chances. Last night felt like a hygiene issue, an understaffed kitchen, and a service breakdown all stacked on top of each other. Usually we go during lunch so maybe that's my recommendation moving forward - I'm giving this place a rest from the rotation for now.

We ordered the classic ramen, extra spicy, and I added an egg to mine. On the card you use to select your order, you can choose the type of noodle, richness of broth, spice level, add-ins, and beverages. There is a separate vegan menu with lots of options to choose from. The ramen was delicious. The broth was rich and full of flavor and the noodles were cooked just right. The meat was tender and egg was perfectly jammy. I get the hype, but I wouldn't go after 9p again for my own sanity and time.

We walked into a casual, compact space with a mix of counter and table seating that fits the quick ramen shop style. The interior is efficient and well organized, though it can get extremely busy, and the wait times are often one of the biggest parts of the experience, especially during peak hours. Once seated, the space feels functional and comfortable, designed around getting a bowl of ramen in front of you without unnecessary distractions. The ramen is built around rich tonkotsu broth with a lot of customization options. We appreciated the ability to adjust things like noodle firmness, richness, and spice level, which made each bowl feel more personalized. The regular tonkotsu ramen stood out for its deep umami flavor without feeling overly heavy, and the noodles had a great texture that held up well against the broth. The vegan options also stand out, including miso-based bowls with flavorful broths that give non-pork options more depth than many ramen shops offer. The toppings are generous, and the soft-boiled egg was cooked to that perfect jammy consistency. Beyond ramen, the menu has a few sides that complement the meal well, including gyoza that came out crisp and well filled. We also grabbed mochi ice cream for something sweet afterward, a light finish after the rich broth. The seasonal ramen options are worth checking out since they add variety beyond the standard bowls, giving regular visitors a reason to come back and try something new. Service is generally quick and friendly, especially considering how busy the restaurant gets. The ordering system is straightforward, and the staff handles the constant flow of customers efficiently. The team kept the pace moving without making the experience feel rushed, and they were attentive to refilling water and checking in on the table. The biggest downside is the popularity, since the lines can sometimes feel long for a relatively quick meal, but the wait tends to move faster than expected given the efficient turnover. Ramen Danbo is a reliable spot for a satisfying bowl of ramen in Seattle. The customizable bowls, strong broth, and consistent noodle quality make it a place worth visiting, although planning around busy hours can make the experience much better. The balance of customization and quality means you can dial in your bowl exactly how you like it, and the focused approach to the menu keeps the attention where it belongs.

This place is a true gem, serving satisfying, delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere at an affordable price. The restaurant looks small from the front, but space is used efficiently and they manage to fit quite a bit of seating into not that large of a dining room. Tables are mostly four tops, quite spacious at that, and surrounded by sturdy wooden chairs. I came for dinner on a Friday evening and there were a few other tables at any given time. Service was quick and our water never ran empty. We had the wontons in hot oil, topped with peanuts, I had the beef chow fun, and my dinner buddy had the pork with hot sauce noodles. The wontons are very very good, stuffed with flavorful pork and swimming in a sauce that sits in that perfect spot at the intersection of hot and sour. The peanuts and scallions add a delightful crunch. Their beef chow fun satisfies every bit of childhood nostalgia I have for this dish, with lots of wok hei, bouncy noodles, and the most tender of beef. I think my favorite beef chow fun in the city still lives at A+ Hong Kong Kitchen, but this is a close second. The portion here is also huge. I am a human vacuum and I actually brought leftovers home, which is rare for me. The pork with hot sauce noodles is seemingly a fusion of zha jiang mian and dan dan noodles. My friend really enjoyed it and actually finished the whole thing, which is saying something given that she doesn't usually eat that much. There are so many other items on the menu that I'm eager to try, so I will definitely be back.

The start of the journey began with the requisite parking fiasco and issues that are perpetual in the Seattle ID...but that should never, and I mean never, stop an important mission like finding a truly delicious noodle restaurant. When we went in, it was pretty empty. We were immediately sat, and ordered. The hot jasmine tea quickly followed. Our Calamari came out quick and was delicious to the point I nearly had to fight my son for the last piece. I quickly surrendered as he does stab people...see above...he parried my fork and stabbed the last piece before quickly finishing the move. Our mains came out shortly after we finished the calamari. The 14yo ordered beef brisket noodle soup. He said it was delicious, but too spicy after he added too much chili oil. The wife scoffed at the idea that there's such a thing as too much chili oil and ate some of his soup. This was after she dug into her hot pot. I did get a chance to sample the delicate pork pieces and the flavorful rice. The slightly crispy rice at the bottom of the pot were so delicious. I had the Singapore style fried noodles. Really tasty. The noodles had so many flavors from the vegetables to the meats (shrimp, chicken meat & egg, and pork) and the sauce. I enjoyed the meal, and look forward to discovering more dishes to try on our adventures trying to find parking. JuFeng, thank you for the delicious meal!
