Since my last review, I (we) have eaten here 6 times. My wife, 2 daughters, 5 grandsons and co-workers all love this place. Had breakfast at Crazy Ottos in Valencia. A customer came in with a small pet dog and seated the animal next to him on the booth. I was very disappointed that none of the employees recognized that a pet dog inside the restaurant and sitting on the booth as an LA County health code violation. read more

Soooo I tried this place last week for the first time. Fast, good service (when I've come in- this is the second time now). Generous portions for sure (you could probably split a plate with how much food they give you. And it's not too pricey either. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because the first time I was here they were out of fruit, today they were out of biscuits and gravy (which I think comes as a side for all breakfast foods) and straws. Me personally am a little germaphobic and won't use metal utensils (hence the picture lol) or put my mouth directly on cups- so because of this I didn't order orange juice or water or get any drink with my meal. That was the only downside. Just being out of supplies and food the two times I've been here now. Only other thing cause I know people are still worried about covid- the two times I've been here the waiters haven't had a mask on- first time no mask at all. Sadly all but the cook are confused about the use of masks, thinking that wearing them on their chin is a safe practice. All businesses in town require masks and most are good at enforcing. New place just opened in the Santa Clarita Valley. Nice location off the 5 freeway. Numerous items to choose from for breakfast and lunch. Large portions/servings for all the items. Definitely worth splitting items with family or friends; or bring it home for another meal (or two)! Friendly helpful staff and management team. We tried the relatively new Crazy Otto's on Wayne Mills and left underwhelmed. Here are our thoughts: PROS 1. Plenty of parking. We were there about 7am and most of the neighboring businesses were not opened yet so the parking situation was easy. 2. Plenty of seating. There was only on other table being used the whole time we were there. Their seating is a combination of tables and booths. 3. Quantity of food. While the quality was not super good, they did give you a lot of food. 4. Service was speedy and attentive and friendly. CONS 1. Quality of Food - Not flavorful at all. Everything was quite bland. The bacon was a cheaper cut which really is not acceptable for the price. The gravy tasted canned. 2. Price - The value for the food was not good either. A milk, maybe 14 ounces, was $4.25 when the bill came. I realize they have to pay for a restaurant but you can buy almost two gallons of milk for that at Costco! We had one meal off the menu and two additional sides and a coffee and the milk and it cost a bit over $38. I wanted to like this place but it really didn't give me any real reason to return. For a similar price, Egg Plantation is much better. read more

I'm not going to lie we LOVE this place and have always had great service. Today was NOT one of those days. Our server was very slow and mind you I know it gets busy and all but to wait almost 30 mins for our food while others got there food after arriving and ordering after us. I don't understand. We have had other servers in the past and had no problems but with this one today was ridiculous. I don't know her name she has long dark hair. Went there for breakfast with my boys and had the worse customer service experience. We were greated and seated and that was it. We waited and waited and waited. Not once did anyone come by and acknowledge us. Not, we'll be right with you, can I get you something to drink, here's a menu...nothing. It is quite possible because they were too busy chatting away at the bar that they forgot us, so we left. Either way, we will not be coming back to this location. Staff was friendly as we were greeted upon walking in. Noise level is pretty high but not intolerable. Our drink order was taken and our waitress came by to introduce herself and tell us about the weekend prime rib special--all within 3 minutes of being seated. Arrived this morning, however it took some time to get a seat because it felt busy or understaffed, understandable. The atmosphere is pleasant. I suppose I ordered the crazy combo breakfast It included ham, bacon, sausage, eggs, ham legs, and biscuits and gravy. My girlfriend ordered the same plate as me except all she ordered was just bacon. Simple diner morning fare. The hash brown was cooked to perfection, and the eggs were acceptable. The bacon was crisp and had minimal oil, and the sausages were patties that were pretty tasty. The ham is of excellent quality as well. My personal favorite was the biscuit and gravy. Service was great, food not so much. Hubby's hash browns were not completely cooked and gravy was barely warm. The biscuits aren't the same as the other Crazy Otto's. Not big and fluffy and they were dry. I ordered the Popeye omelette which is spinach, bacon and cheese and I added mushrooms. When the omelette came, there was no bacon or cheese. I brought this to our server's attention and she got me the correct order quickly. Think I'll be sticking to the Canyon Country location. read more

This place has been good for years. Every location is on point. Very attentive waitresses and good food and large portions. Everything that I've tried is delicious and large. I bet they go through a lot of take-out containers. I know the ham steak is awesome and I'll be back for sure to try more menu items. You get endless coffees, and supplied with standard, French vanilla, and hazelnut creamers. Not to mention, they have salsa, ketchup, and hot sauces to choose from to spice up your plate if you want. They have taken their own recipes on food that was already the best around and made it a disgrace to the name. The food came and there was a giant black hair in my wife's omelet. My stack of pancakes and bacon was burned to a crisp.
