This is our "go to" in the Glendale area! A week is never complete. Alaska roll is really good! Service is only focused.

We realized a meal contained something one of us was allergic to after it was brought out and asked if we could get it remade minus the item, after that that the staff were rude to us. To make the experience worse a server misidentified one of our sushi orders when they brought it out and the wrong person ate it, so I was still hungry and asked for another order of the roll and they never brought it out. My boyfriend stopped eating and gave me the rest of his food so that I wouldn't be hungry since they didn't give me the additional order. read more

My friends and I tried this place for the first time on a Friday night and we were not disappointed! We came in around 6:30PM and there was no wait, so we were seated immediately. Parking is a little rough and to be honest, I circled Glendale around 5 times until I could FINALLY find parking. Also, bring coins or your credit card so you can pay for parking, because everything is metered there. After parking, I went in and they give you complimentary edamame and miso soup, which was great. I ordered the fire roll (???), it had jalapenos and spicy tuna on it. My friends ordered the caterpillar roll and some baked roll. All was delicious and we really enjoyed it! I wish the fish was a little more fresh, but that's alright. We asked for eel sauce in the beginning, but the waitress took like 25 min to bring it out and by then, we were all done with our food. Also, when we were done eating, it took about 45 minutes for us to get our check even though there weren't many occupants in the restaurant. Food was good and customer service was okay. Another in a series of "just ok" places I've been going to lately, this place just didn't really wow me. It's a beautiful space, and I loved the ambiance of it. The service was also really good, and very prompt. The sushi itself was just mediocre to me, though. I didn't order much, I had one unagi sushi, one spicy rose roll, and one dragon roll. The unagi was fine, but very standard, and small pieces. I've had much better unagi in many other places. The spicy rose roll was fine, but I wouldn't call the flavor profile spicy. It was more sweet than anything thanks to the sweet eel sauce on top of it. The dragon roll was similarly very sweet with the same sauce on top. Neither roll surprised me, it's very very standard sushi rolls. The weirdest part about this place to me is how ridiculously fast the rolls came out to me, not that speedy service is bad or anything, but it feels really hard to believe the rolls are made to order when they come out less than two minutes after the order is placed at the table. Did I just come in on the world's fastest sushi rolling night? Who knows...I don't think I'll ever find out though, because there are just better sushi places for comparable prices that I can visit other than this one in the future. read more

I went to this place at lunch time, and they have great deal of buy one second roll 50% discounts and drinks. I tried their special roll which is B.S.C.R roll and Baked Salmon roll. This was understandable but we had explained we wanted to set up for our mother's birthday, and all she had said was that there was another reservation at 8PM. How are you going to 1.) Not have our reserved table ready, and 2.) Set another reservation two hours after our 6PM one? That was very unprofessional in my opinion. Unfortunately, I live in Glendale and have never gotten the chance to dine in this place. We have gotten takeout for this place a couple times during this Covid19 Pandemic. Every time we've gotten it, we are always satisfied! I'm a huge fan of albacore and I'm so glad they have different variations of it. The Garlic Lovers Albacore is my favorite! The Truffle Hunter Sushi is so delicious! There's nothing on their menu that we were disappointed about. My friends came to eat and we split the bill, my friend accidentally tipped incorrectly and the manager made a huge deal out of it. I thought i would NEVER hear someone say "Why did you tip so low"? My friend had to get the machine again and she INCREASED THE TIP with the pressure and embarrassment from this WOMAN. Although I tipped a good 15%, I thought that was disrespectful to my friend. No matter what someone tips, you NEVER approach them about it. You are NOT SUPPOSED TO COERCE SOMEONE TO TIP HIGHER. I understand it's proper etiquette, as I ALWAYS tip, but sometimes others have short comings or make mistakes. This should have not been handled like this. Very poor and embarrassing look from this restaurant. ALSOOO!! My sushi had SPOILED avocado, but I was too embarrassed to complain. But I should have, it tasted awful and I just kept it for my dogs. Don't come here for traditional nigiri sushi-- this is clearly a fusion spot that douses their rolls with mayonnaise and surimi fake crab meat for their mostly white/not-asian clientele. I live across the street from this place so we get takeout from here fairly often purely for the convenience. The buy 1 get 1 half off may seem like an enticing deal--but once you realize 2 Alaskan rolls comes out to ~$25 after tax/tip it's not that cheap of a bargain after all. Despite this, I've ordered from here at least 20 times over the last 2 years. Quality-wise, if mayo soaked California rolls are your thing, it's pretty good. The presentation has always been nice here. Portions are decent. Mayonnaise and sauce drizzling always has maximum saturation. 4/5 Nigiri/fish-wise I have never been impressed here. Nigiri is expensive here, and without the dousing of mayo on the fish, it's easy to taste the quality is not up to par to higher end sushi spots. It's edible, but not much more remarkable than that. 2/5 Ambience wise, they've consistently done a great job offering hand sanitizer, marking 6ft apart spots for lines, and adapting to pandemic safety measures. I LOVE THIS PLACE. I needed a last minute sushi spot because my family was in town and my go to was closed. Not only did this place accommodate for nine guest last minute, they were so kind about it and attentive. The atmosphere was amazing, but the place is a bit small. The menu had so many options, we ordered nearly everything and everything was amazing. The sushi rolls, to the bento box, and their shumai was delicious and actually authentic! Here's my issue with this place, the food isn't consistent & the managers customer service isn't that great. The appetizers are mediocre. I always get the Bento Box, which comes with 2-3 items that you pick from a list. I had Avocado Rolls, Chicken Teriyakai, Bulgogi. The chicken teriyaki tasted strange & the chicken was dry. The chicken Teriyaki here is never the best thing, but usually good enough. So anyway, I asked my waiter if I can swap it out for another avocado roll dish instead. He had no problem, and got the manager to confirm. The manager came over and said, "I can switch it out the chicken teriyaki dish for you, but if you want the avocado roll again, you have to pay extra $1.50" This made no sense to me - I thought I was doing the establishment a favor by saving on their cost of meat, and ordering an extra avocado roll instead (to replace my chicken). Also, how is it my fault that their chicken teriyaki dish tasted like crap? So you're making me pay extra. Good customer service would have waived that $1.50 fee! It's not even much, I know, but it's about the principle of it. The only good thing about this place, was their staff (waiters & busboys) - they were amazing & so attentive.
