They have a deep menu. They also have a healthy amount of space for everyone to sit, even on busy nights. PROPS: Good food, fair prices. If i could 0! I had a really disappointing experience at this sushi place. The service was horrible. I was told my order would take just a few minutes, but I ended up waiting for 45 minutes with several other customers in the same situation. When I asked how much longer it would take they kept adding 10 more minutes, they blamed the cooks, and then a manager came out who didn't seem to do much to address the situation. The cooks were just standing around, and the manager kept hiding in the back. Just came out when gettting payments. Overall, the lack of communication and poor customer service was very frustrating. The quality has gone down hill and their prices have sky rocketed BUT My main issue is the HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! Ordered delivery from Crazy Rock'N Sushi twice now. Our first experience wasn't so great. The fish didn't taste that fresh, but delivery (through GrubHub) was on time, so no gripes there. It satisfied the craving. The second time was way better, BUT the delivery was late! D'oh! This was no fault of the restaurant (we eventually got a $5 gift card from GrubHub for the short delay; it really wasn't a huge deal). Most sushi places we've ordered from all have their to-go in styrofoam. I wish there was an another alternative, like plastic, or something reusable... I always feel bad throwing the styrofoam into the trash. This will definitely be our next go-to place for sushi, and I'd like to try out their other menu items. This is the perfect neighborhood spot for a quick bite of sushi! We like to sit at the sushi bar, the guys back there are always super nice and helpful. Some of my favorites include the miso soup, the mango salad, the stuffed/fried jalapeños, and the cucumber wrapped sushi roll! (Forgot the name of it but it's super healthy and fresh). My fiancé likes to get the noodle bowl that comes with a combo side of a roll because he says it actually fills him up (it takes a lot, lol). One thing I wouldn't expect, but is my favorite part is this place plays the JAMS! Last time I was there, they were playing a millennial's dream throwback playlist... Excellent service, good food and pricing. Both the Alaskan and popcorn shrimp rolls were good. The Alaskan roll has thinly sliced red onions on top which give it a bit of a pop. The popcorn shrimp roll has jalapenos on top for an added kick. Gyoza was good, edamame was standard. Wish the edamame had more salt. The price you order on DoorDash (for a pickup)and directly from restaurant is different. It looks like the extra fees are being hidden in the menu items instead of stating as "extra fees" in the receipt. I understand this might be an agreement between the delivery app and the restaurant but these charges should not be hidden in the menu item and it shouldn't be a cost out of customers pocket when vendor signs up to get these services through an app to attract more customers. Food- I am not sure what exactly I ordered. But it didn't look like anything like how it was described. The red spider roll didn't contain some sort of cooked fish. There were some "remainder of cooked fish" from a different dish that got fried with other stuff and it landed on my sushi roll with my crunch topping. Sesame chicken - it was so black and hard as if these were fried weeks ago. Taste was obviously disgusting. The reviews are kind of overrated. I've had a 3 star sushi joint before and it was still better than this restaurant. I try to be more sympathetic during these COVID times but that doesn't mean restaurant should compromise the food quality and over charge customers. I always get the Lakers roll and love it, great size for the price, unique combo for roll but my mom used to order the Lakers role and when I would place to go order sometime she would have me pick her up one. The last time her sushi roll looked really good decent size for the price as their price has gone from $10 now to I think $16 or 17, so this time when I ordered sushi tonight I decided to get the Las Vegas roll... Went here last week because my friend was craving sushi and this restaurant was close to my place. Also because it had good reviews. So to the owners of this place: Yelp definitely brought me here, so good work with all of the great reviews. We got on the list which was actually pretty long and the person told us it would be a 20-25 minute wait. To our surpise, it only took about 5 minutes (I think we got lucky with timing). We ordered a Philly roll, alaskan roll, and a salmon avocado cut roll. All of the food came out timely and tasted great. The service was on point as a few waiters came to check in on us and make sure we were taken care of. Overall, great sushi place, no complaints. Take out experience only! When you have no food at home and the sushi cravings kick in, but your work week is too packed to step outside for a pick up, Postmates to the rescue! Both of my experiences just happened to have occurred through the app. First time ordering was great! I was really craving salmon sashimi, but let's be honest, I love salmon anything. The price for the salmon avocado roll really caught my eye. It was the cheapest price in comparison to other sushi joints on the app. We ordered a salmon avo cut roll ($4.95), Crazy Rock n Roll roll ($10.75), Beef Teriyaki (combo with mixed tempura) and a side of miso soup. We also included special instructions to make sure the beef was cooked well done. Not sure if it's cooked to order, but it was delivered as instructed. The second time around, we went hard on rolls. We chose the Red Dragon Roll, Caterpillar Roll, Salmon Avocado Roll and Sunomono Octopus salad. Only after putting this review together did I notice the price increased from $4.95 to $7.95 on the salmon avocado roll! Not to mention, the order delivered with a mistake on one of the rolls. They gave us a roll topped with cooked shrimp and crab inside, when the Red Dragon Roll should have had spicy tuna in it and wrapped in tuna. The octopus sunomono was a bit disappointing. The octopus was cut into thick, clunky pieces. I really thought it would have been sashimi portioned slices, but it ended up being underwhelming. Overall, I guess it just ended up being okay. First of all we walk in and the hostess (Niko) barely gave us the time of day and pointed to a table instead of walking us to a table. She was unfriendly and didn't smile at all, nothing friendly or welcoming about her whatsoever. When the food finally came, it was soggy, bland fish, overly sweet sauce saturated the poor sushi roll and it fell apart- it's overall the most disgusting sushi I've ever eaten in my entire life! Avoid this place at all costs! They never asked us if we needed anything. We needed to ask for the check, and when it came, they just plopped the card machine in front of us without saying anything. For the cost of eating out, I want to enjoy the meal and feel like I'm being taken care of as a customer. I was there having lunch with my friend. We were asked to leave because someone was offended by our conversation. According to the restaurant the neighbor party (lady) didn't appreciate our vocabulary. According to neibor we were using the F word in our vocabulary too often and that was offensive to her (neighbor) . Mind you, this is lunch time and this is just two friends having a conversation: When I was asked to leave, I spoke to the waiter and I asked If we were too loud, they sad "no" , I asked the waitress if we were offending other people's race, sexuality or color, she said " no". The salmon outside and inside is chefs Kiss the best thing ever if you love salmon like me.
