12/26/2025 Stopped here after dinner for dessert with some family. It was about 8pm the day after Christmas, and it wasn't too busy. Their seasonal/holiday flavors were Gingerbread, Christmas Tree, and Mexican Hot Chocolate. We sampled all three, and it was really difficult to narrow down which two I wanted for a split scoop. I finally chose Gingerbread and Christmas Tree in a Small cup. I think the Small was $6, and it was A LOT of ice cream! (See photo for reference) I devoured the entire thing - it definitely hit the spot and left me feeling so full. The two employees were very kind and patient with my group of 5. We'll definitely be back, and I can't wait to see what seasonal flavors they'll offer next! read more

3/12: Starry night is back, so we had to stop by. The flavor is made with cereal milk and marshmallow fluff. I also tried their Shake & Fries, which had real bits of french fries and chocolate whoppers. I ordered a small cup and was able to get both limited time flavors! The staff was friendly and asked us how our weekend was going, which I liked. Usually the other staff members are nice, but would just quickly serve us, which also makes sense on busy nights. Truthfully, this is one of the best mint chocolate chips I've ever had! It was so creamy and was packed with immense flavor. It is made with homemade mint, and let me tell you, it was to DIE for!!! I cannot recommend this place enough when I have people visit from out of town. I've had consistently great and welcoming customer service, all the flavors have always WOWed me, and it's trendy enough that it feels like I'm cool, but low key enough that I feel like I found a hole in a wall. Such a cute lil shop and on the day we stopped by the employee was the BEST! He quickly greeted us and told us he would be right with us as he was already helping another couple out. Once our turn, he asked us how our day was going and if we wanted any samples. We ended up getting the cherry lemon flavored one in a cup and the cream of the crop / cookies and crème in a cone. All three flavors we picked were delicious. They were creamy and just the right amount of sweetness. The inside is small but very cute. The décor is one of a kind! We will be back! read more

My favorite ice cream shop ever. Has the best cookies n' cream ice cream I've ever had!! With a creamy base that tastes like cheesecake and thick Oreo chunks, it's heavenly. The flavor is currently replaced with banana cookies n' cream . At first I was disappointed and thought that combo sounded absolutely disgusting, but after sampling it, it's absolutely delicious!! There's just a slight hint of banana at the end, nothing extreme, but surprisingly the flavors pair so well together!! The customer service is always top notch as well!! Found about this place through a friend and immediately had to try it out! Located within the Barone collective in Gilbert, this is the perfect spot to stop during a night out for some amazing ice cream! We ate it so fast we forgot to take pictures of our actual ice cream. I opted for their OG Cream of the Crop which is reminiscent of a key lime pie. It had a hint of lime but was super creamy and delicious. My husband ordered a double scoop with the cookies and cream and Piexto Coffee. It was a tough spot for #1 in my heart between the cream of the crop and the cookies and cream, but cookies and cream was a close 2nd! The coffee ice cream was a bit strong for my preference, but i appreciated the quality coffee used. The staff was amazing and super patient as we sampled their flavors before ordering. The Peixoto coffee (no surprise) is one of the best coffee ice creams I've had -- strong yet creamy and made with high-quality local beans. But if you're at Cream of the Crop, you *must* try their unique flavors. They won't disappoint. One of their current rotating flavors is made with a blend of white chocolate, pink peppercorns, and lime, and I was sooo pleasantly surprised at the taste. I had to get a scoop! There isn't a lot of seating, but there are a ton of local restaurants, vendors, and bars to check out, all within a 5 minute walk in the lot while you enjoy your ice cream. This ice cream makes me want to scream! The first time I tried Cream Of The Crop, I couldn't stop thinking about how good the ice cream was. I went back a couple weeks later! The menu is simple. They usually offer about six fun and unique flavors, including seasonal ones. There's even a vegan flavor. I sampled a few, including the Real Mint Chip using Agritopia mint and the White Chocolate Orange Swirl which were unique and delicious. I'm a sucker for coffee ice cream, so I had to go with the Pair Cupworks Cold Brew Coffee and Cream Of The Crop. The Cream Of The Crop flavor is a signature flavor. It's vanilla bean with a hint of lime. Both flavors are incredible separately and together! I just took a peek at their December flavors and now I won't rest until I've tried them all! read more

When I scream, you scream, we all scream for IcE CREAM! What a delightful experience at Cream of the crop this week! We enjoyed it so much we came back for more two times in one week. We visited for the first time on Wednesday and brought new friends tonight. I loved that Romain- the amazing employee that helped us out on Wednesday remembered who we were 2 days later. He was so nice and excited about telling us the flavors. The ice cream shop was small and cute inside Barone. The vibes were super cute! Turns out the flavors change often too. Excellent ice cream! I love but they have both classics and extremely unique flavors. They seem to put things together that no one else thinks of. My husband and I shared a small cup of the vegan dark chocolate flavor and the mothra flavor. Mothra consisted of a creamy orange blossom ice cream with ripples of peach compote and crunchy honeycomb. Both were rich, creamy, and bursting with quality. This place was AWESOME! OH MY. I think we found our new local favorite ice cream shop. They are located within Barnone near Agritopia in Gilbert. Service was a bit slow for a Wednesday night, as there was only one gal working and lots of people wanting ice cream. But no harm done here. What was immediately evident is the high quality ingredients used here. We tried: Cream of the Crop Vanilla: made with lime and vanilla bean AND cream cheese (I got this and it was so good) Agritopia Mint Chip: made with lavender, mint and chocolate shavings; They use REAL mint and you can taste the difference Cucumber Lime Sorbet: lime with cilantro and elderflower liqueur. I sampled this and it was very refreshing! Dark Chocolate: WOW is this RICH but so good. Like eating a scoop of chocolate syrup. It's so dark that the ice cream is almost black. It has tiny nuggets of chocolate chips in it. This was the most incredible dark chocolate ice cream I've ever had. To top it off, I added the salted caramel syrup on my cream of the crop ice cream, which was SO good. They also hand make this syrup. I will 10/10 be back. read more

Glad we had room after beer and pizza to top it off with a sweet treat. We tried the vegan chocolate, strawberry and mint chocolate chip. Delicious across the board and the $5 small cup is crammed full of ice cream. We wouldn't have ordered the vegan chocolate but person in front of us loved it - it was deliciously rich and was enhanced by the added caramel topping. Good ice cream at reasonable prices. Stopped by after reading favorable reviews but was extremely disappointed in almost every aspect. First the young lady working there appeared to be annoyed that she was there. Second they only had 6 favors and they all had cute names so you had no idea what they were and when I asked the girl still annoyed had to look them up on a cheat sheet, really 6 items and she did not know what they were. Apparently some of the 6 items were not ice cream but frozen yogurt but no indication of that anywhere. Also no cash taken only credit cards which is another strike against them as far as I am concerned. Lastly not their fault but the air conditioning was not working. So give then 2 stars for just existing but will not ever be back. Better alternative just a 100 yards away at Salt and Straw read more

If you're looking for Baskin Robbins flavors-this isn't your place. It's very fitting for the area; boujee ice cream in a cute little venue with several small shops and a brewery and restaurants. We had the coffee, cream of the crop, mint chip, and chocolate cherry. They were all good. We are always in the hunt for new and interesting ice cream shops. My husband suggested this place he found online. It's a very small shop inside Barnone. There is only seating for 4 people that is facing out of the store which is a little awkward. So, if you are coming with a larger groups, best to hang out outdoors after getting your ice cream. The ice cream was amazing! There are only about 6 flavors so there is t a large selection. I got the Mothra which is orange, peach and honeycomb. I would t say it was overwhelming any of those flavors, but it was delicious. My husband got the vegan dark chocolate which I had a bite of which was also amazing, but very very rich. The only reason for 4 stars was the service. Their flavors have names that don't describe their flavors and I had to ask for descriptions. When we paid, i was met with non eye contact and just told I could tap to pay when I was ready. When I left I read there was a possibility of toppings which was very offered. Overall, I will definitely be back as the ice cream will bring me back and hopefully the staff will be having a better day and be more friendly. read more

OMG yum! I'm not even a huge dessert person but the mint chocolate chip ice cream from Cream of the Crop is my FAVORITE. Maybe it is because the mint they use is fresh from the agritopia farm that I love it so much. The whole Barn One area is a cool spot to hang out, grab a drink and/or dinner.
