Was craving a light dessert so I went for a short walk to food park to check out the options. I've seen Crepe Me out there before but never when I've had the sweet tooth. I ordered the nutella fruit crepe with strawberry and banana. I thought the rectangular cut crepes were a really nice touch, and they were cut into mini rectangles for perfect individual bites or sharing. The nutella flavor really shone through, sweet and nutty, but not too sweet. The fruit added some variety to the flavor. I usually can't eat much dessert, especially if it's too sweet, but I didn't ever feel like it was too sweet. It was quite filling though, as those crepes are layered into the rectangles - I'd say really good value as well. I'd like to come back and try some of the other flavors, and perhaps the coffee as well sometime!

We were visiting my BFF in Austin, and I just knew I had to take my family here. I came with my…read moreBFF, my mom, and my aunt. They had me help them choose their drinks during this visit. Neither of them could finish their entire glass of beer, so I ended up chugging the remaining half of both of theirs. The customer service was so sweet--I was struggling to translate the menu with my mom, and the guy at the front desk was truly helpful throughout. It really raised the experience of this place during what could've been a relatively stressful situation. Dirty Horchata - I was hoping for a stronger horchata taste. It's not bad, so it was worth the shot! Just grateful it wasn't too sweet. My BFF felt the same, as we're both horchata fiends from growing up in Chicago. Cherry Cider - The cider has a tangy taste. The cherry flavor isn't as strong, but it's a fragrant drink. The flavor slowly became sweeter the more I drank it. It grew on me, but it wouldn't be my go-to unless I knew I was munching on something salty that night. Violet Blueberry Blonde - My favorite of the two. This one has a tamer flavor with a nicer floral note. It was exactly what I asked for. I felt like I could've easily chugged a few of these. The guy at the counter definitely chose a great pick. I love the low-key ambiance of this place, the peaceful nighttime atmosphere, the fact that it's wedged into a cozy nook, and how it isn't so LOUD like many bars. Didn't get bit by a mosquito while we hung out there for an hour, so that's a huge plus. They were probably chewing on my friends' legs too intently to consider me, though. Wish I had something like this near my place in Houston. I would regularly hang out here on a weekday, no cap.

Tons of outdoor and patio seating, a few tables indoors in the AC. I ordered the Flapjack, hot, with double espresso in a larger cup, with half sweetness (effectively a large with less services). Delicious saltiness and cinnamon! I really enjoyed this. I tried the honey lavender latte which they said was the least sweet of their fort favorites. The lavender flavor was very forward and there was a hint of sweetness on the back of the tongue, so very accurate. I didn't get as much coffee flavor here so maybe double espresso if that's important to you. Friends also tried the seasonal coconut macadamia latte (they said it was nice, like a sweet nutty flavor). Really solid coffee spot with great vibes, I'd come back.

I was torn on choosing a crepe I had previously tried, or trying something new entirely. The barista/cashier was super helpful on narrowing down my options, and so I stuck with the Crepe Madame-- can't go wrong with a classic! Absolutely, NOOOOO REGRETS. I will say after just eating one, I WANTED MORE... but that could also be my Texan heart wanting the usual Texan portion size. They also serve a mini salad on the side, and whatever dressing they're using-- SPECTACULAR. If you're curious why the menu has some Vietnamese influence on the menu, you're not mistaken. It's Vietnamese Owned, so maybe get a little adventurous and try out the Saigon Crepe or be bold and order a Cafe Sua Da or Vietnamese Espresso Martini. The space is aesthetically pleasing and really calming, a great place to study or just decompress. Mixed Rice Paper with Tamarind Sauce ($12.95): Yum, probably the best banh trang tron we have had in Austin or at least the most consistently good one. They ask if you want the ingredients kept separate or mixed together. If mixed, you need to eat it right away. We have tried both ways and even when we kept them separate and ate it later it was still just as good. Rice Paper Rolls / Banh Trang Cuon ($12.50): This one is different from the mixed rice paper in that it comes rolled with egg, while the other version has quail eggs and beef jerky. I think this rolled version is becoming my preferred way to eat banh trang. The dipping sauce that came with it was also really good. Mixed Rice Paper with Chili Salt / Banh Trang Muoi Ot Tron Kho ($6.50): A bit pricey for what it is but this is hard to find in Austin and it was well made. The rice paper was the right texture and the chili salt amount was spot on. Y7. Winter Melon Icy Slush ($6.80) + Crystal Taro ($1.15): Wow this was delicious and super refreshing. It was a bit too sweet for me but perfect for my husband. I loved the crystal taro too since you can taste the subtle taro flavor when you chew it. F1. Bee Vietnamese Style ($6.80) + Lychee Jelly ($0.95): My husband ordered this one but ended up liking the winter melon icy slush more. It was not bad but just nothing special.
