I recently moved to crestline and have eaten at the Cafe several times and the food is always delicious and amazing.

We came here after hiking around Lake Gregory Regional Park, it looked like there was a bit of rush but we were seated right away! The server had great customer service, there were a few times that something had slipped their mind but all in all, they were amazing! The food is what makes me give it 3 stars; my mother, her fiancé, and I all ordered 3 different meals and we like to have a variety to try each other's dishes. The eggs Benedict was a bit too soggy for me, I only ate one biscuit and left the other one on the plate at the restaurant but the first bite wasn't bad! 5.5/10; I'd say. The mountain climber I believe was hefty, hearty, and filling! With potatoes, cheese, bacon, and the goods spilling out across the skillet dish smelled great. Same with the Benedict however, we got sick of the flavor quick. 6/10, you can't really hate a potato you know? The Garden scramble was completely devoured! My mother's fiancé prefers not to eat meat so this was a veggies centered dish. He said it was a good meal and I'd give it a 7/10! Tl;dr! Breakfast being the most (scrumptious) important meal of the day, I wish they served it past 3pm. But, how can you be mad at these people?! It was extremely difficult to choose between all of the interesting concoctions but we decided on the classic eggs Benedict with hash browns, and eggs n' cognito with country potatoes. Fucking incredible!! Firstly, the portions are super generous, especially for the price. Then, it's all the little things that made a huge difference. Let's talk about the eggs Benedict. I've never seen English muffins this large. Where do you even find these? Do they bake these themselves?? (Are English muffins even baked? I guess they're actually fried on a griddle, but I digress......) Then, they are reallly not messin' around with the girth of this ham steak, which is also not dried out, nor overly salty, but quite tender. I'm so glad that we have this cafe in our small community of Crestline. We order take out every so often when I don't feel like cooking much and we have a few items that we like to rotate between visits. I try to order during the mid week as the weekends can be busy with tourists, when I order during the week I notice a difference in presentation which I can appreciate. My son loves the kids cheese burger, my guy and I usually share the Philly style French dip, and split the grilled chicken salad with dressing on the side. You can't go wrong with any of the burgers but for the most part I order a regular crestline burger with bacon, avocado and grilled onions. I also like to order the chicken and green chili soup whenever they have it. The servers are polite and the food is good, we are always happy to support the folks at Crestline Cafe. read more

Stayed in Crestline during a snow storm. First thing I wanted when I woke up was a country diner type of breakfast. That is what I found in the Crestline Cafe. They have an excellent menu and some of their own takes on favorites. I ordered blueberry pancakes, eggs and bacon and coffee. The pancakes were loaded with blueberries and I was offered Maple and blueberry syrup. The bacon was thick cut and crispy salty goodness. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and creamy. The coffee was hot and flavourful. The waitress was very attentive and pleasant. I live the warmth and ambience of the restaurant. Very cozy and we'll decorated for the holidays. read more

$30 for a kids meal, side of eggs and biscuits and gravy, a coffee, tea and chocolate milk. The pancakes for kids meal were literally tougher than a steak. Biscuits were old/burnt. Asked for extra eggs instead of meat on the kid's meal so they just left off the meat and gave the same amount of eggs. We were super hungry so we ate it all but I won't be back. Can I just say.. the staff was WONDERFUL!! The food Excellent!! Best Arnold Palmer ever! Our servers were very courteous and kind. I'm quite impressed with the quality of customer service and hospitality. The food was fresh and out of this world. We ordered: fish and chips, they were perfectly battered and fryed. Kids burger, my son could not stop shaking from how delicious it was. Chicken tenders, the ranch mouth watering and the chicken delicious the breading was full of tasty flavor. Food is slow to arrive ,but worth the wait. Was a little shocked to get charged a mandatory service charge for 4 adults and 3 toddlers. When I enquired about it she said it was for all "large parties" -- We only took up one standard table with 4 chairs and a couple of high chairs. . Hahaha read more

When people ask why I chose Crestline, when moving up the mountain, I tell them "it has a great coffee shop, hardware store, record shop, grocer, and a fantastic diner - and what more could I need?" Great breakfast food and I actually really enjoy the French dip (not always easy to find a good French dip at a café). The staff is always super nice, too. It was recently purchased by one of the staff members, so I can only imagine it will continue to grow and become even better as years go by. Came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning at about 9:30. No wait, seated immediately. Service was great and food was excellent. Omelettes were spot on and even the squaw toast was done perfect. Always ask the locals where they like to go and what they like to order. That's my philosophy when eating and traveling. This spot is a local favorite where their soups are always delicious as well as the bread it comes with. It's quite a deal, I must say. You can order a bowl of soup of one variety (like their French onion soup) and then order another kind after that. Quite a filling meal on its own. Or you can try their hot turkey open faced sandwich like I did. Turkey breast is oven roasted daily and gravy is made from its drippings. Legit in my book. The soft bread on the bottom is perfection. If you are visiting Lake Arrowhead make sure to go the 10 minutes out of your way to eat at the Crestline Cafe'. Plenty of delicious food options- many very healthy options. Of course there are some heavenly desert options like the fresh fruit burrito that apparently is assembled and then deep fried- I didn't order it but I will absolutely be having food dreams tonight :-) The service was good despite being very busy. The wait staff kept my coffee refilled and the food came out as soon as it was ready. This is NOT fast food- there is a McDonald's up the street for that! Crestline Cafe offers fresh, cooked beautifully prepared breakfast and lunch options and plated very nicely. The food is Instagram worthy. It's a diner. Service is what you expect, yet super friendly and prompt delivery of food. The food is fresh and diner food, what you would expect at an IHOP or Dennies. The dining room is clean and bright with sunshine. It's never too busy or dirty. Definitely a nice spot to have breakfast or lunch. I have not tried dinner, I will amend this review once I have. A great little cafe in Crestline. The lunch we had was very very good and once our party of 5 got seated the service was good. Long wait to get in as it's small plus the Covid situation on seating. All in all, we all were happy with the experience. If your on Crestline and looking for a good basic meal, head for this cafe. After an afternoon playing in the snow, the Crestline Café was the perfect stop to warm up, fill our bellies to then make our way home. We had a party of 12. We waited approximately 15/20 minutes to be seated. The menu and food options are typical. The waitress promptly took our drink order. I had the Parmesan Cheddar Grill Sandwich with onion rings. The sandwich was very delicious. Chicken was perfectly cooked and the bread was just the right amount of crunch. The onions rings were just ok. My husband had the French dip, Philly style with steak fries. The sandwich was delicious, meat was tender and then vegetables were cooked to perfection. The steak fries were typical. Service was quick, friendly and efficient. The wait wasn't too long at all for 12 people. Definitely a place that I see myself and family returning when we are in the area. We stop in for breakfasts while riding through the mountains. Service is usually slow, but very friendly. Their breakfasts are always reliably good. Nothing stands out as delicious, but nothing has ever been bad. We usually have omelettes, or pancakes, typical breakfast fare. Their machaca breakfast is also food. Coffee is decent. Bathrooms are clean. Good place to stop if you are in the area. read more
