Literally looks like someone bit into it ..

They don't really pay attention to the order, I simply requested a pulled pork sandwich and a shake. You'd think that wouldn't be so hard to make for an Uber eats order. Didn't even get my shake and the sandwich is horribly made and didn't taste good.

I stopped in for a quick lunch on my break and was pleased to find out they offer decently priced daily specials. I got a pan con lechón for $6 as it was the Monday offer. On Fridays, they have fritas for $4 which you honestly can't beat. The service is quick and although I could've ordered online I chose to come in person and dine in. The place was really clean and everyone behind the counter was bustling to bring the orders out for everyone as quick as possible so that's really helpful. My sandwich was toasted perfectly and loaded with meat which means I was full pretty quickly. It's the perfect spot for quick and casual fast Cuban food served just right for a bargain. If you're in the area, give them a try.

Though I did enjoy my sandwich there, I must admit it is a pretty average fast-food-style sandwich place. The open-kitchen area looks clean enough from this side of the counter, but the tables, and generally the public's side could have been better, and while the main responsible of this is the public, part of the job of a restaurant is to counter that. The environmental music was also a bit too loud for my taste, but still within what's reasonable for a food establishment, so I won't hold it against them. The Sandwich was filling and felt fresh, though I found it a bit lacking on the flavor side. I enjoyed it, but there was something missing. Other than that, the soda machine on the public side with the standard endless refills and the fair pricing make this a good place to go for a quick bite, but you can find better sandwiches around if you take the time to look for them.

During live performances, one waitress would get up on stage and play instruments and at other times bartenders would join in. I was truly smiling from ear to ear all night. I drank delicious mojitos all night and even with a packed venue the drinks came out extremely fast! Although the restaurant was packed, our waitress remained extremely kind and attentive throughout the night. To me, the food was just good. We had the Jamón Serrano Croquetas to start. They were a little cold for my taste and not the best I've ever had but they weren't bad. My husband really loved his skirt steak ropa vieja and didn't leave a single grain of rice. I opted for the rabo encendido pasta. I like that they weren't skimpy on the rabo. The downside of this place is that to maximize space, you're packed in like sardines. The tables are basically on top of each other. A larger sized person would not fit getting in and out of their seat and my husband was constantly backing up into the people seated behind him. Overall, this is a place you definitely visit for the atmosphere above food. I will 100% be coming back for drinks, appetizers and more live music. It is an incredible spot especially for those looking for Cuban nostalgia.

We started with the goat cheese croquettes, which were delicious! The marmalade went well, and the pickles onions and jalapeños cut the richness and were a nice complement. Regardless when we arrived they sat us outside which is exactly what we were hoping for. Our server was nice at first. Explained all the popular dishes got our drinks out very quickly. I think she stole our table from someone else because shortly after someone came and we told them we put our order in and he seemed a little bothered. Unfortunately, our other server disappeared and never checked up on us. We pretty much didn't have any napkins during our entire duration of our meal. At least that part was good. We started off with a couple of mojitos and their Vaca Frita Tostones. You get these homemade maduro tostones topped off with shreeded beef in a moon sauce, pickled onion, and aji Amarillo aioli. A very delicious dish that didn't last long. Shortly after we received our main dish. I really hate when they do that. My wife ordered their Abuelas Ropa Vieja and I ordered their Masa de Puerco Chino. My wife didn't really care for her dish much. We've had plenty of Ropa Vieja before and would have preferred a congri type of rice as opppsed to just plain white rice. My dish was 10/10. Like in the name of "chino" this is an Asian inspired dish with fried rice, maduros, pineapple confit and crispy pork. A very delicious dish. It could have don't without the little salad on top, but at least it ads color to the dish. The crispy pork tasted so amazing and the fried had so much flavor. Mix in some of the maduros and you get a sweet and savory dish. Would definitely be returning to try this dish again.

The Ocean Drive location does it right: great service, very friendly and fast, food that was amazing across the board. Loved my first taste of a traditional, genuine Cuban sandwich, ham, roast pork, Swiss, pickles, mustard, all pressed together and served with a mountain of shoestring fries, as close to the source as I could ask for stateside. Ordered a rum and coke and they hand it to you in a genuinely giant glass, perfect for getting the party started, even though it was a random Monday afternoon.
