We found this little gem while visiting the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola. It's a small cafe located in the museum and has very limited hours and is one of the few options to grab a bite of food inside other than the snacks they sell at the concession stand in front of the theater. It doubles as an exhibit because it's a replica of some of the officer clubs you would find in the Western Pacific. They have actual plaques, signs and decor from said clubs. As far as food and refreshments go, you're not getting gourmet food here. It is what you would expect at any dining options at touristy spots. They have items like soups, salads, sandwiches, etc. We were looking for a quick snack before hitting the road and went with nachos and chili dogs. I would say it's slightly more elevated than a concession stand, but nothing to write home about. You're definitely coming here more for the museum aspect of it. Overall, this place is a decent option for a quick bite to eat. Realistically set your expectations and you'll be in for a good time. read more

This is inside of the Naval Museum. I didn't expect an A1 dining experience but I was pleasantly surprised with this little Cafe. It's filled with Naval memorabilia which is really neat and really adds a flare to this cafe. The service- The servers were on it! They got us seated quickly and be careful with the rolling chairs because I almost fell out of mine while trying to sit, lol! The Sweet tea was great. The prices were pretty decent too. I got a quesadilla and so did my nephew. They were solid, nothing extravagant or special but they had good flavor and the chicken was soft and they make an in house salsa that is really quite good! Cute cafe located in the naval aviation museum. Lots of memorabilia and artifacts in the cafe and service is great! Where else can you eat lunch under and next to history airplanes? I had a half chicken salad sandwich and garden salad with balsamic vinaigrette. The chicken salad tasted fresh and didn't feel heavy with mayo. Salad was lettuce, tomatoes, a cucumber slice, a bell pepper slice, and a red onion ring, nothing too fancy. It was the right amount of food for me. My dad got the Cuban 8 panini sandwich with chips, which comes with honey mustard. He said it was pretty filling as it was mostly meat and tasted decent. We had family visiting and had to show them the Aviation Museum (now open to the general public with FREE admission). After visiting, we ate at the Cubi Bar Cafe. There was no wait. The waitress was very professional and provided excellent service. Everyone ordered something different and no complaints from even the picky eaters. The chili dog, Cuban panini, were the biggest winners. All the soups are prepared fresh and not out of a can. The prices were reasonable, the food was tasty, and the decor to match the aviation environment. Great experience overall! read more

Great, cute little place to eat while visiting the NAS museum. The food isn't the greatest, but it is convenient and has a neat atmosphere. The service was great and our food came out fast. This was a Monday and the special was a small pizza. You could choose pepperoni or cheese. My kids shared the pepperoni and I thought it was pretty good for a non pizza joint. I had a steak panini sandwich. It came with plain chips, and I didn't see where there were any options choose a different flavor. The steak on the sandwich was kinda thick and a little tough, but was doable. I prefer a fajita/then style steak on a philly style sandwich. I went here mainly for the history and all the navy artifacts. I tried the subic steak panini that came with a bag of chips. The service was great, as well as the experience. In short: 5 stars for the location and decorations, 3 stars for the food, 4 stars for the service and prices. Let's start by saying this is not just another museum cafe. It is the actual setup from the Cubi Bar at NAS Cubi Point which was in the Philippines. Anybody who did a Japan/Korea deployment with a squadron in the early 90s stopped in here. Over time the squadrons started leaving plaques and they adorned all of the walls. Some are even sculptures! When the base closed down they were able to save all those pieces of Naval history. What an appropriate place to display them, the Naval Aviation Museum! So they brought a little bit of Subic Bay to Pensacola to share with everyone. Not only are the walls full of history but you can eat at the tables on the museum side and look out at all of the aircraft which helped shape our nation's history. I love it. Other than that, the food is nothing special but the price was less than what I would have expected being inside a museum. All in all, this is a nice place to rest your legs and have a bite to eat while you take in all of the exhibits. read more

Food- it's a cafe, the menu isn't huge- but they have sandwiches and quesadillas, soups and salads. I had the Mach 1- pulled pork sandwich, comes with a pickle and bag of chips- and sweet baby rays bbq sauce. Hubby had the special- peppered steak with rice and carrots- great lunch for both of us! Although it was busy and there was a wait, they use the flashy beeper things and can continue your visit to the museum while you wait. I would not hesitate to eat here on my next visit to the museum. The reason to go to this place is the fact that the bar area was shipped over from the Philippines. In other words, the actual wooden panels from its location overseas are used in the walls here. Where else has a physical bar been moved around the planet? Imagine if you were a sailor during the time the bar existed in the Pacific Islands and now you're retired getting a drink at the same bar 50 years later. Pretty lousy place to eat. All the food they have is either cold or microwaved. Everything is pre-made including the chicken sandwich that my wife got (came with a bag of chips), and my salad. No filipino food at all. None. Found a command plaque from my old command and that was kinda cool. I would recommend coming here and looking around but would not eat here again. Service was fine. "Steak" salad, cold chicken sandwich, bag of chips, and 2 styrofoam cups of iced tea came to $19.10. **Update** Told the cashier that I was disappointed and she cut the bill down to $9.95. Ate here a few weeks ago with a party of 14, understandably they split us up into two groups. I was amazed that they could accommodate us since it was the day the Blue Angels were doing their air show. Considering it's your only choice and it's inside the Naval Air museum I was preparing myself for 'sticker shock' when I saw the menu. However, the food came out fast and was reasonably priced. They are very much geared to deal with picky little eaters, Example - their PB&J sandwich is deconstructed - meaning you get 2 slices of bread, and 2 small containers of PB and 2 small containers of jelly. My BBQ sandwich was yummy. We all ate our food with quiet happy noises. I'll happily eat here next time I'm at the museum. And you should too. The decor is nice and the restaurant is large enough to accommodate visitors as necessary. read more

I've eaten here twice now and both experiences were very pleasant. The first time there was a wait for a table so we opted to sit at the bar. The bartender was very attentive, friendly, and offered great suggestions. We ordered the burger which is the Thursday special and the loaded hot dog. We enjoyed both meals. The second time we ordered the Cuban sandwich and the BLT, both of which were good. At our second visit we were with a party of 8 and the waitress was excellent. This place is nothing short of amazing. The walls literally speak history to you. We were a little worried about space as there were 6 plus an infant in our party, but the place is much larger than it looks. We were all starving so it felt like it took forever to get our food but it was so worth the wait. Our waitress was amazing. She even brought us a pitcher of sweet tea (which was also amazing) and left it on the table for refills. Portion sizes are very generous and you definitely get your money's worth. It came with a bag of chips and a pickle for around $8. A soup and salad would also be a good option. The food isn't great, but I wouldn't be afraid to eat there again. Great museum. Loved the plaques, memorabilia etc but food was skimpy and portions were actually small for the price point. Everyone wanted bread pudding fir dessert so they served real tiny pieces . Food is okay if you can get a table. They can't turn tables quickly and they're's nothing more frustrating than waiting in a table at a restaurant with empty tables. They give guests a pager and then let them tour the museum so it can takes as long as 30 minutes for a guest to show up once their pager goes off. They need to give guests a time limit like 10 minutes and then move on to the next in line. I sat for 30 minutes while I saw 3 tables sit empty the entire time. Not a good way to operate. read more

Better than expected! My daughter got super hangry while in the museum and so we decided to eat lunch there so we could finish seeing everything. It was reasonably priced compared to other museum restaurants and it was a sit down restaurant with a friendly staff. I had the Cuban sandwich with chips ($8). It was pretty good. While i realize this is merely a museum cafe, the buzz surrounding led be to expect much more. The menu was very limited, and while the Cuban sandwich i had was quite good, they have no fryer so you get plain chips instead of french fries. I was really disappointed with my experience there. The reason I'm giving them 2 stars is because it is located in the museum so they gets points for being convenient and affordable. I will start off saying that they didn't have water! The waitress said something about them flushing the pipes, so I was unable to get any cups of water, I had to get soda or lemonade (at an extra charge). I ordered the steak sandwich and it was mediocre at best. It was bland, but I was hungry enough to eat it. The waitress seemed as if she was in a hurry, she had our tickets out before I even got halfway through our food, and brought out desserts minutes after our food came out, so we had to eat in a hurry, because our desserts had ice cream and it was just tauntingly melting as we at our entrees. Overall wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless you are looking for something inside the museum and can't leave for whatever reason. read more
