Cuerno had been on my list for a while, and it definitely lived up to the hype! The restaurant has a beautiful upscale atmosphere that's perfect for a date night or special occasion, and the service was excellent from start to finish. We started with the complimentary chips and four different salsas, then ordered the Guacamole, Chicharrón de Pulpo, and Coliflor Trufa Habanero. The biggest surprise of the night was easily the cauliflower. I never expected a cauliflower dish to be one of my favorites, but the smoky, truffle, and habanero flavors worked so well together. It's an absolute must-order. For our mains, we shared the 52 oz Tomahawk, Taco Taquero, and the Beef Short Rib. Without a doubt, the Taco Taquero was the best dish of the night. The tableside preparation with the fire-roasted bone marrow made it such a fun experience, and the flavor was incredible. The tomahawk was cooked perfectly, and the short rib was fall-apart tender with amazing flavor. To finish, we had the Pastel de Campechanas, which was unlike any dessert I've had before. Overall, every dish was memorable, and although Cuerno is definitely a splurge, it's well worth it for a special occasion. We'll definitely be back!

This place is great! Located in midtown, this is a go-to corporate lunch spot. The prix fixe lunch menu is pretty affordable at $39. I've been here twice in the last week, and it was great both times! The service was quick, and the interior of the restaurant is beautiful. They also have outdoor seating. The food was excellent! The esquites were really tasty. I didn't care too much for the guacamole, but my tacos were really good. I would definitely come back here and try more menu items! We also got a dessert...beware! Our pastel was MASSIVE and delicious!

I came here during my three-day stay in NYC. I was recommended this place by a friend, and I am so glad I came. I was exhausted from walking around NYC and the food here satisfied my appetite. First off, the service was wonderful. Our server Alberto was so welcoming and kind. He made sure we had everything we needed. Secondly, the restaurant itself is beautiful. The seats were so comfortable I felt like I could fall asleep right there! And of course, most importantly, the food was filling and tasty. My favorite part were the chips; I really liked all the different salsas provided. I enjoyed two cocktails, tortilla soup, beef tacos, and one "Taco Richi". I only give it 4 stars instead of 5 because I was confused on the menu. I am used to going to get Mexican food and the orders are simple, but I do understand that this is an upscale restaurant and there are different components to the dishes.

2nd time here, first time for a weekday lunch. It was fairly busy even for lunch. What was disappointing was that the food took so long - sat down at 12:20 and our entrees came down 1:40pm. The food is delicious but the wait makes me 2nd guess whether I'd have my business lunches here. Crudo: delicious and flavorful Ribeye a la sal: comes with roasted garlic, I liked this maybe as much as the other ribeye Pomelo Brilliante mocktail: refreshing

Cinco de Mayo at Cuerno~ Best Meal in NYC! Its been awhile since we spent a few days here in NYC. We came here for our anniversary (CInco de Mayo) and to see the Broadway play Death Becomes Her. So, when searching for the best Mexican restaurant, Cuerno came up frequently. High ceilings, beautiful interior, comfortable seats, and so much more. Seated at a huge round table that could fit 3 more, our friendly server came over and we ordered some cocktails. Well, I had a beautiful Sparkling Rose from Mexico----I know! Mexico makes some really nice wines:) My husband had the classic Margarita to celebrate our Anniversary and Cinco de Mayo. Let me just tell you the food was probably one of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to. It is also a Steakhouse too. To start, they bring over a few salsa dips along with thier Homemade chips. Some were better than others as well as the heat meter (some more mild than others), but I personally loved most of them if not all. Their Guacomole is amazing! We also ordered their grilled corn (Esquites) and a Taco Taquero. Everything was amazing including the Coffee. I think we were so full so we opted out of dessert. If you have never been here before I highly recommend checking it out while visiting NYC. You will love it!

My boyfriend wanted a date night (as usual--and I can never say no), so we tried Casa Enrique near his job. We didn't have reservations, so we were seated downstairs, which isn't as nice as the upstairs area--but it was still fine for a casual night out. The food and service were both great. We ordered chips with sauces, ceviche, branzino, and steak. Everything was flavorful and well-prepared, but the standout for me was definitely the cauliflower--it was so good and honestly the highlight of the meal. Drinks were just okay--mine wasn't my favorite, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. Overall, I'd definitely come back again, but next time I'd make a reservation since this place gets pretty busy, even during the week.

Cuerno is the best! We've been here a couple of times and never have the same experience. The staff is super upbeat and helpful. The waiters make the experience much better with their friendliness and information on the food. The place is gorgeous and very well kept. My favorite part is that everything is perfectly timed. You don't wait too long for your food but you're sure it's being made with quality. The drinks here are awesome I would definitely come here with friends ONLY for the drinks cause they're that good too. Cannot wait to be back!

We went 5+ times, and service has always been great there. My favorite: taco Richi (must order), hibiscus cocktail, bone marrow rib eye, and octopus (a bit too spicy but high quality). The space is corporate-y but nice.

Terrific service. Cool vibe in a nice looking restaurant. The food for the most part is excellent. Also some really great cocktails. The Rib Eye à la Sal was as good as any steak served by the finest steakhouses. The Taco Richi was also great as was the Queso Fundido. The Tacos de Branzino was disappointing. A lot of cole slaw and not much branzino. I'm not really sold on their cauliflower dish either. Otherwise a terrific meal. The complimentary chips and sauces were a spicy hit. Desserts another plus.

We had a fantastic meal at Cuerno! We loved the chips and salsa they provided at the beginning of the meal. We also got the broccoli and queso fundido to start, both of which I'd highly recommend. The chorizo in the queso was the best I've ever had. The flavor was exceptionally well-balanced. I also got the ribeye taco which my husband got the branzino tacos. Both were very good. We were too full for dessert. I'd highly recommend Cuerno if you're in the area, especially before a show!

I was a bit underwhelmed here. The guacamole and broccoli appetizers were bland, and the steak in the tacos (both taco callejeras and taco richi) was dry. The cauliflower and hamachi were amazing. We got too full of appetizers to try any of the steak entrees, so maybe that would've been better. We did try each of the four desserts, three of which I loved. The pastel de campechanas was my favorite, and the mango and vanilla ice cream were also good. The chocolate cake was a bit dry though. The ambience is very nice, and it was easy to book a reservation for a group of eight. The service was very nice too. It's fine for a business meal, which is probably what they cater to.

Everything was pretty tasty for sure. Nothing blew my mind, I think a 4.5 is more fair than 4. The cauliflower dish was my favorite, very decadent and perfectly seasoned. Love the crunch from pistachios. The Arrachera Norteña was also of great quality meat and flavors were top notch. The branzino tacos were just okay, regret getting them compared to some other taco options. Chicken breast on salad was dry but edible. Loved the chicarron croutons. Overall had a great time. Service was a bit spotty, but notably on a busy Saturday night. I personally wouldn't go out of my way to return but would recommend for a decent time.

This place is such a gem! Beautiful inside and you are constantly greeted and checked on by various staff members. This was my first time visiting and I will be back for sure! Drinks - I had the Cuerno Margarita which was very good and had a kick to it. My friend had a smoked guava drink which she loved. Food - I did the lunch menu and had the vegetable, branzino, and banana dessert. All were amazing but the branzino was phenomenal. So flavorful and melts in your mouth. Overall a wonderful experience and a great place for lunch or dinner with friends or colleagues.

I got the short rib and I think that's where things started to take a turn. There were fatty pieces but most of all it was increasingly salty . I took it home and tried it the next day and still was just as salty. The filet according to my husband was perfectly cooked. Side dishes are always great at steakhouses, but the lobster Mac and cheese was underwhelming. It lacked that cheesy component especially when multiple cheeses are used and compared to most steakhouses was not great. Dessert we got the butter cake and the cheesecake. We both enjoyed the butter cake, it had a rich buttery caramel taste; the cheesecake was on the small side but also really had a fridge/freezer taste to it and tasted really generic. Atmosphere was nice, service was good, but compared to other steakhouses it missed the mark with my entree, dessert, and lobster Mac.

Ambiance: This place has a nice ambiance, definitely very "New York" -- dark (you can't see how dirty the floor is) and loud music (maybe too loud). We sat upstairs (we had a reservation) and of all the people on the top there was a party of 4 (us), a party of 8 (all dudes celebrating something) and the rest of the tables were on a DATE - which I thought was funny. Service: We were served by Ann-Marie who was so delightful. She was kind, super nice, and took the time to speak to us (which is basically how we figured out she wasn't a native New York City person). She gave us good food suggestions and we were very happy with our selection. Food: Here is what we ordered * Steak Frites: My two boys got the steak frites and I have to say the steak was awesome! I had a bite of each of theirs and they each ordered it differently (one Medium Rare/Medium and one Medium) and they both were prepared PERFECTLY. The fries were overflowing. * Caeser Salad with Salmon: My wife got the salad with Salmon (they only have a few salad options) and she enjoyed it. * Prawn and Crab Risotto: I got this and I have to say it was VERY bland. I wouldn't get this if you are looking for taste. I had to put salt and pepper on it to make it have any semblance of taste. Value/Price: I would say this is not over priced but it is not cheap either...bill is attached. I would recommend it to folks who are looking for a good place to either go out on a date or a family type meal.

It's also LOUD downstairs. Ask for upstairs if you want to hear your date. Gin is the program here and they take it seriously, house-infused bottles paired with specific tonics, not an afterthought. My G&T was legitimately well built. Food from chef JC Colón is better than cocktail-bar standard: truffle fries in duck fat are worth it, the lobster mac at $31 is rich and fine but you've had it before. Skip dessert. The steak frites at $48 is where I'd tap out, that's real-restaurant money for bar food execution. Here's the move though: weekday happy hour, 4 to 7.
