What a great find in Draper! Excellent food! Lots of plates to share. Wife and I shared 3 tapas sized plates and a dessert. We had fried cauliflower which had an Asian kick to it. Tasted a lot like orange chicken. Delicious. We also got something called Toast which is thick sliced bread topped with succotash. Very good! And then Rooted which is a small NY Strip with spiral cut root veggies and ramen. For dessert we got the apple, pear tart with caramel. My review doesn't really explain the flavors well, but it was all delicious! Something you would expect to find downtown at the south end is the valley. read more

Found this gem while trying to find local fine dining without having to go to down town slc or park city. Surpassed my expectations and we will definitely return and spread the word! Hip, crisp ambiance with courteous, highly competent, helpful, and friendly waitstaff. A variety of menu options that succinctly checks all the boxes. The cocktail menu is also exciting though we opted for a bottle of wine this time so will have to explore that further... We ordered the beet tartare and wild mushroom ravioli to start and immediately were rewarded with spectacular flavors! (Along with beautiful presentations.) Our entrees included the petit filet with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus and the duck with mushroom risotto et al.... Finished with the butter cake and a glass of sherry..... Another great dinner at Cultivate! The drink menu is a great mix of classic and creative, and the drinks we tried (Love at First Delight, Escape from Venice, and Cultivate Margarita) were nicely balanced, thoughtfully constructed, and well executed. The food was excellent-- we love their varied menu with shareable plates, and some highlights were the fried cauliflower, sausage and corn chowder (soups are a sneaky hit here), and mushroom ravioli. Consistently good service and food. The bartenders are extremely helpful with wine or specialty cocktails. The appetizers are solid. The chicken lollipops are substantial and flavorful. The cauliflower and toffee Brie are ok, but haven't ordered them a second time. The pumpkin hummus was the real surprise even if you don't love pumpkin dishes. The tacos (vegetarian and trio) are both good. The vegetarian ones had such large pieces of cauliflower it was easier to eat with a knife and fork! The Bolognese Pasta is great and we get it every time and never need a to-go box. The butter cake is exceptional too. read more

We were in the neighborhood attending a function when a friend of ours suggested we try Cultivate. Unaware of it's existence prior to the suggestion, we decided to give it a try. Slightly familiar with the location having been to The Cliff a couple of times, we were able to find it, but we did drive by once before realizing that Cultivate is awkwardly north facing in the same building as The Cliff making it difficult to spot from the road. The restaurant is a bit small, but welcoming with warm wood features and comfortable modern decor. It is easy to infer that this is a higher end eating establishment so we adjusted our expectations accordingly. The maî·​tre d' asked if we had a reservation, which we did not. Expecting to wait, on principal if nothing else, we were promptly escorted to a small table for two right behind a large party and next to the kitchen. Admittedly, I was slightly annoyed by the table selection given there were probably only two other tables in the place that were full. In hind sight I may have just been a bit hangry. We started with the hummus as an appetizer. It came with pita, another house-made flat bread, and sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, and carrots. The hummus itself is topped with the chef's relish creation that was quite delicious. Our waiter was a true master of his craft, personable and attentive. He suggested a very good wine (on the affordable side) which my date happily tried and I chose another selection which I was impressed to see was offered by the glass. The wine list here is not extensive, but very tastefully curated. For our entrees, I went with the Wagyu Burger which came highly recommended by our friend. I noticed it was prepared with fried onions which is typically an immediate nix from me, but I decided to go with the entree as the chef prepares it this time. My date ordered fried cauliflower for her entree which I thought was strange, but ended up being very impressed by the result. The pace of our meal was perfect with entrees arriving just as the hummus was depleted. My burger was life-altering and very much lived up to the recommendation (only a few of the fried onions were removed). The cauliflower was served with an Asian fusion style sweet sauce that made it absolutely delectable. I'm not much for dessert in any capacity, but our waiter's suggestion of the Butter Cake caught my attention and I was not disappointed. Appetizer, three glasses of wine ($32 total), two entrees, and a dessert to split came to just north of $120 with tax and tip. I will be recommending Cultivate to all of my foodie pals and we will be back to feed my newest burger obsession. Cultivate stopped just shy of five stars as a reflection of our initial overall experience considering seating placement, high-end price tag, management interaction, and a frustrating parking situation. I fully expect five stars to be earned in an updated review after additional visits. read more

This was on my list to try since I saw the announcement for them to open. Only open a few weeks and already satisfying palates! The signature cocktails are fun and excited to see people order like the Smoked Old Fashion. I tried the Grove Mocktail and it was delicious and refreshing. We ordered the Cubano sandwich - wow that was amazing. One of the best I've had and I've tried Cuban sandwiches in Florida, so that's saying something. We also ordered the Thai salad with steak - ordering anything Thai I expect a certain amount of heat so I was disappointed there but it still tasted amazing. The gristle on the steak was a bit too much. Other than those small details it was an enjoyable meal, staff was great and we will definitely be back! read more

This was our first time visiting Cultivate and it will not be our last! We look forward to working our way systematically through the menu. We visited here to celebrate our anniversary and received a call from Stan the manager before our reservation to check on any special requests and he even personalized our menus for our visit. The hostess was friendly and our server Eliza went above and beyond to make our dining experience amazing! Eliza was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the English chips for a starter, incredible with the olive aioli and curry ketchup. We enjoyed the watermelon salad and it is what salad dreams are made of! For our main course the scallops dish with corn succotash and cauliflower purée were out of this world, we also enjoyed the short ribs and risotto, but the scallops were our top pick. Make sure you order the butter cake with freshly made vanilla ice cream and raspberry whipped cream for dessert, so simple and so delicious!
