The staff here is really friendly. The Pharmacists are especially helpful. I live near by and come here often. From what I can tell they stock the shelves a lot and the products I buy in bulk (fake eyelashes) they are always stocked. CVS in general has pretty lousy Customer Service! Many of the people working there are JUST WORKING FOR A PAYCHECK! MANY of the CVS employees appear to be uneducated, unfriendly and unhelpful! NO that CVS has all but gobbled up the Sav-on's of the world...I have to say, "WOO WOO!" My local Sav-on was kind of a slum so I found myself ALWAYS hitting up the Walgreen's on the corner of Robertson and Pico (don't worry Walgreen's...i'll still get my prescriptions with you my love!! lol)...but now, after seeing the sparkly renovations...I may have to visit more often! They have a great make-up/shampoo/shaving/etc. section complete with lit up shelves to highlight products. So cool! AND they just so happen to carry La Roche Posay which is a branch of Loreal I believe. It used to be hard to get here because the sunblock they make wasn't FDA approved in the USA until recently. So I thought...WOW...they carry it HERE? Who knew? lol Great selection of food items as well and the pharmacy looks pretty rockin' and everyone's pretty helpful and things are easy to find. The people who work here are rude. This was the 2nd pharmacy we went to because Walgreens wouldn't fill our Rx because I already was with CVS in my home town. I was out of town trying to fill my Rx though so where I did it didn't matter. When we go there around 1pm they told me that they could not fill any Rx for me for 2 hours because the Dr was going on lunch break. Okaaay... 2 hour lunch breaks mid day? I never heard of this. So we leave to get lunch too. And as soon as we sit down to eat, they text me to say it was ready. So we quickly go back and the lady at the counter said "I didn't call you." I said well why did I get a text? She just said "idk". Meanwhile... I SEE the dr there. Either she never left for lunch and my Rx was going to take way longer... or she got back early. So I thought I'd ask since I had to be in the valley at 3pm. She said she wasn't there. Okay then my eyes are lying because I see her. Oh well.. I sit down to try to eat my lunch in a box and they call me again. They got 1 Rx ready but not the other. Why not wait till both are ready?? Stop calling me for false alarms. So finally the Dr that I saw with my own eyes who was trying to hide from people got my Rx ready for me. I could care less if she had to take lunch. Just tell me the wait is 2 hours. Don't give me a lie along with it. This shows that they don't care about people. read more

I understand most pharmacists are miserable and hate their jobs, but the pharmacy staff and Lead pharmacist at this particular location takes it to a whole new level! I've never once been greeted with a smile or any type of pleasantry, and there is not even a semblance of customer service to how they do their jobs. Service is terrible. The employee Manuel has no customer service. Came in for photos and he told me they didn't have them passed me off to someone else, then they sent him to get the photos again and it was right in front of him the whole time. I moved to this area 2 years ago and I have been coming to this cvs. What an excellent customer service. From the store manager, evening shift manager and all the employees what a great team. The caveat here is that I have no experience with the pharmacy, which seems to be generating most of the negative reviews here. As for the rest of the store, everyone I've interacted with has been especially friendly, and more importantly, really helpful. Juan the store manager is one of the most helpful people in a retail setting I've come across in recent memory. He has helped me a number of times with special orders that other CVS stores have been unable to fulfill. He also has a very customer-friendly coupon policy, which is most appreciated. Everyone working, EVERY SINGLE ONE, asked me if I needed help while shopping. I'm not surprised, I'm here every week making large purchases and can't stop my cvs rewards addiction! They give so much at CVS and the tall dark gentleman (I'll have to grab his name) is always so calmly collected and patient with every single customer. He's there every day basically and it's always nice to see him because he's just a nice guy...! Clean, organized and they always have discounts with 75 or 50% off. This one is my favorite. I'm so disgusted that my insurance forces us to use CVS for prescriptions. They are the worst. Out of probably 30 times I've been there to get my medications maybe 3 or 4 times has it actually been ready and available, despite my getting texts from them saying it's ready! They also have my birthdate wrong in their system (mixed up with my husband's) and my insurance company assures me it is a CVS error yet CVS will never fix it. They've said they've fixed it many times, but each time I go back they're always confused when I give them the "wrong" birthdate. It's been YEARS. I seriously dread going there each month. The pharmacists could care less. I received a call from their computer system telling me my prescription was ready. I had one pill left, went to pick up my prescription and was told, we don't have it. Sometime the systems calls you accidentally. No apology, nothing. I asked if they could refill and they said I was out of refills, but they would put a request in to my doctor. I called to see if my prescription was ready and they said it was denied. At the very least, they could call. AWFUL. Turns out I did have a refill and their system called me about it and marked it out, but my doctor still showed one one file. This is just embarrassing and pedestrian for people who are dispensing drugs. One day this is going to affect someone who is really ill, maybe the pharmacists will care then. read more

I agree with a lot of people when they say this CVS pharmacy had got to be one of the worse I've been to. I have tried to refill my prescription twice and each time they don't order my it from their vendor. They never have a valid reason for me when I question why they haven't ordered my meds. Forget trying to get an answer through the phone. I've had to transfer my prescription to other pharmacy's outside my area which is frustrating because I can walk to this place. By far the worst CVS in the United States . The people that work here are just incapable of a mental capacity that would allow them to deal with the human race. They have patients such as myself that get out of the hospital with PICC lines in their arms coming in and then they question whether they are sick or whether the medication that they get from their Doctor is valid . The worst part is that I get the same medication in their system for years because of my disease. This is downright discrimination ,at least why someone like me that has disability . Most of these review are definitely accurate. The pharmacy staff is totally rude and probably the dumbest group of people I've ever met. It's a shame really, because there is a large community that relies on them to be competent. When the head pharmacist can't do basic math and makes it sound like I'm the one wrong it makes me sad. Couldn't find what i was looking for and one of the workers was kind enough to take me to it. It used to be just an inconvenience to wait or for the phones not to be answered for 10 minutes, but the last time I got my prescriptions filled, they gave me the wrong medicine. THE WRONG MEDICINE. This is supposed to be my new cvs pharmacy but I rather change locations or pharmacy. My doctor sent in a prescription at 10 am. I came by the pharmacy at 12:30 to find out they did not have the right dosage of medication. Oddly enough they failed to call my doctors when the prescription came in. Pico and La Cienega was once home to CVS twenty years ago. It wasn't this lush. CVS left So Cal for years. 2006 brought the triumphant return of CVS to the area. I love the fresh renovations and the assortment of beauty products. I appreciate the La Roche Posay (Mmm, moisturizing sunscreen!) and Vichy, along with Pacifica soaps and Alba body wash.
