This little hole in the wall place is delicious. Their tortas are huge, and mouth watering of course (you can order a half only if you'd like). I love this place, it has very delicious acai bowls. I love that they add strawberries, bananas, and blueberries with granola and honey as toppings. The flavor of the acai bowl is identical to sprouts acai bowls. The difference is like 2 extra dollars here but it's a lot closer than sprouts. I have tried the tostilocos and I am in love. They're so delicious and have a great amount of jicama and the toppings. I wish they added more of the Chaka Chaka. My husband gets the torta and he really likes it. He gets the asada torta most of the time. The only down side is that it does take about 15 minutes for you to get your food. read more

I ordered a Torta de Lomo & Chamango to go. The torta was so big that I gave half of it to a friend. It was very tasty, and had fresh avocado. The highlight though was the Chamango. It was sweet & spicy and so refreshingly delicious. They have other delicious looking things on their menu but they don't have descriptions so it's hard to decide what to order. Milanese Torta is good. Tostilocos are good. Fruit salad is good. My son loves their fruit salad. Their tropical fruit drink is good. So far everything I've had is good. Only reason why 4 stars only is that their bathroom is ALWAYS out of order. It's really not which is bad for customers because if you want to eat here and want to even wash your hands, don't count on it even if you have an emergency bathroom run. My son had to go the first time and he used it even though they told me it was out of order. Guess what it worked. The second time I just wanted to wash his filthy hands and it was locked. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is because the entire menu is in Spanish and the employees only speak Spanish so it was rather difficult for me to understand the menu and order as a non-Spanish speaking person. I've gotten acai fruit smoothies from here before but went with the acai bowl this time around. I ordered the bowl to go and when I got home I noticed that the acai was completely frozen. I thought they would've made it fresh but the only fresh was the sliced fruits. They must've made a batch and frozen it. Now I have to wait until it's all thawed out to eat it. My brother has ordered the acai before and hasn't had any issues with it. Maybe his bowl wasn't frozen like mine. But for now, I wouldn't recommend the acai bowl. read more

Everything is made fresh to order, so if you're in a rush, order 10-15 mins before coming in. Every visit here is very refreshing to say the least. I'm not the pushy type but I highly recommend the escamocha. Its a fruit cup made with honey dew, cantaloupe, grapes, apple, bananas, strawberry, pear, lime, salt and orange juice. I have to get into a conversation with anyone I refer here because of the name - what's up with the name guys? Does it stand for something? Just a bit of curiosity before my review. SERIOUSLY the best place in IB for juice, smoothies, sandwiches or salads! it is like the only healthy food place around, and it has a variety of items to choose from so I never get bored of coming here. The also have nummy treats, so it's kind of a one stop shop. The price for juices and smoothies are a little high, in my opinion, but I think everything is just more expensive these days. There is Fruit palace not too far from here, and they are cheaper, but for some reason I don't find their juices as refreshing (you'd think juice would be juice...?) and they've screwed up my veggie torta more than once - it's their menu, how can they screw it up?! but it's happened. Meanwhile D K Che hasn't disappointed me any of the numerous times I've been there. In fact, my only "complaint" would be that they don't have a punch card or other rewards type scenario for their loyal customers. I guess why would they since we keep coming back for the deliciousness anyways! But it would still be a pretty awesome way to show appreciation to the customers for the business they provide. I've never eaten there so I can't comment on the bathroom situation that I see mentioned in previous reviews, but I would hope that they weren't true or something was amiss because that would be seriously strange for a place that offers a stay in option to not have a restroom for customers. read more
