I highly recommend D-Mac Restoration. This is the second time I have used them for restoration. I first found them on Yelp in 2011 and wrote them a 5 star review for the excellent job they did on the dryout, cleaning, and drywall repair from a pipe leak in the wall of our rental house. We recently had to repair another leaking water pipe in the same house in San Diego. The plumbers had to cut out a significant amount of drywall to make the repair for the broken pipe. I called Dan at D-Mac again and he promptly came out to give us an estimate for the carpet cleaning and drywall repair. Their quote was very reasonable and they were able to start the job quickly. They did a great job and everything looks like new again. Dan and his crew were very professional, courteous, and efficient from start to finish - just like the first time I used them in 2011. D-MAC restoration did repair to our flooded wall and flooring. Dan, the manager, was so professional, responsive to our needs, polite. He spoke with our insurance company a lot and made sure we got covered for the damages!! We liked them so much that we even asked to help with other non-flood related items around the house (I remodeled a bathroom and they helped with installing tiles on a wall which came out so beautiful; fixed other dry walls and ceiling, and painted). Dan, I spent a summer years ago driving one of those yellow vans cleaning carpets to make some extra money. They sent me to "Carpet" school to learn a bit about the trade. So I know a little about the biz. When your guy showed up he was very sharp and knew his stuff. He never once tried to "over" sell anything and even went a bit above and beyond what we spoke about completing. The job you did was outstanding. My dog had recently passed away and he left his memories in quite a few different places (from where he slept) your guy erased all traces and our carpets looked sharp. So, things started off a little shaky, the cleaners were supposed to come between 10-12 but no one showed. I called the office and left a message letting them know that no one had showed and I got a prompt return call. There was some type of scheduling mix up and they apologized and were able to send someone right away. This is my second time using this service and I love it. I have dogs so the urine smell and staining was my biggest issue and now is is no more! What a great company! Last Sunday I found bathroom leak when it started dripping from my kitchen ceiling. I called my insurance. I then remembered I had used D-Mac in 2009 and was very satisfied so I called Dan. He came out while the roof was being dried. To make a long story short he began restoration on Mon. and by Friday afternoon the whole project was complete including cleaning the stair carpet from various trades coming and going. My insurance company gave him the go ahead even before they completed their estimate as they knew he was a "reputable contractor". He did the whole restoration without asking for a dime from me. I have been meaning to write about D-Mac for a year! My husband and I got to know Dan and crew a year ago when a toilet in our house blew up (yes, it really blew up) while we were away, leaving us with hardwood floor, wall, and other damage and lots and lots of water. What a mess! Our home insurance agent recommended D-Mac and the rest is history. D-Mac prides itself on being on-time and dependable. And they do HIGH quality work. Dan personally came out every day during the weeks-long process to be hands-on the project. His team was top-notch, too. We had everything from tile work to new hardwood floor installation/finishing, to carpet-cleaning, to new plasterboard, to extensive painting done by Dan and crew. Another carpet cleaner recommended I hire D-Mac to remedy cat urine smell in the carpet. Robert came out and laid out realistic expectations--that he could only control the smell, not eliminate it. He gave it 3 aggressive treatments but the smell persisted. He offered some options but said we ultimately needed new carpet if we truly wanted to get rid of the smell and then gave us our money back. I recommend calling these guys if you need something done. I felt he was very open the whole time and was more interested in solving my problem than just getting another job. Definitely recommend because they were so honest about the expectations and then when the smell wasn't going away gave us a refund no questions asked. D-Mac can't solve every problem and they know when to say when. This company is good to go. read more

Thanks to Robert and Sean for their hard work in doing all they could to clean "cat" urine out of carpet in rental house. They were very knowledgeable, courteous, and hardworking. They did everything possible, but through no fault of their own, carpet will have to be replaced, floors sealed and face boards replaced. It's that bad. Once I found D-Mac and specifically Jason back on June 8, 2012, I have not and will not use anyone else for any of my flooring needs. I scheduled my afternoon off work around Jason' availability and continue to be impressed with the service. Besides the excellent carpet service, his detail work on our tiles is remarkable. We purchased a short sale home. It turned out that the flooring had to be replaced and when we removed all the carpet there was pet odor that didn't go away. D-Mac was able to schedule us over the weekend and squeez our urgent request in so that we could stay on time with our installation. They cleaned all the concrete, left fans to dry over night, then sealed the concrete the next day. All this work and service was priced very reasonable. Jason was very helpful, on time, and efficient. I highly recommend this company and was very satisfied with their work and the results. If you have any pets they could mark your new floor if there is any remaining odor and when you are making that investment you need to make sure you avoid this risk, we have had no problems. read more

Well, now we know what company we will use for future mold remediation or cleaning needs... I called D-Mac and asked them to come and take a look at some mold on the framing lumber of the ceiling in our garage. The estimator called in advance to let us know his ETA, and arrived on time. After explaining how we thought the mold had developed, he was a little suspicious, based on past experience, and got out the ladder, to take a closer look. Imagine our embarrassment when he soon discovered that the mold was actually splattered cement (caused by a messy contractor who had done some mixing in the garage)!! (He said it was the most convincing fake mold he's ever seen...) ;-) He went ahead and checked the moisture content of the wood using his meter, and gave us some cleaning tips, and was very good-natured about having just driven all the way to Vista from Kearny Mesa. This is clearly a reputable company, and the staff is helpful and service oriented, and sensible when it comes to making recommendations to homeowners... They will be the first company we will call when we need help with some sort of cleaning in the future! read more

The moment I contacted D-Mac for carpet cleaning services, I knew right away that I wouldn't need to contact any other company for their service. They were extremely professional on the phone and told me exactly what was needed to be performed on my carpets. They were even able to accommodate next day services. Jason was the one who performed the cleaning service and was right on time. Before he started the work, he answered all my questions and gave me all the details of services he was going to do. It was good to know that they weren't simply just going to spray and vacuum like I've seen in the past from previous carpet cleaners. Used this Company because of Yelp reviews. Not impressed. Showed up early, lectured me on 10-12 is 10-12 even though the guy on the phone when I made the appt said they would be later because of an earlier appointment (and they did show at 9:49). I was told on the phone they would clean under the sofa...they didnt, I was told to vacuum the rug before they cleaned it. The price was greater for the cleaning than quoted on the phone..that's okay but someone should explain why and I did eventually get that explanation from the man and his cell phone, but I had to pull it out of him. He said my rug was wool and that costs more. Lots of "have a nice day" and "yes maam" but little authenticity. And pay with cash because they will write down your credit card number on the invoice and carry it into the office for processing. I had to call them back to move a chair they left wet and blocking my doorway. Maybe they were in a hurry, maybe they hated me, I don't know but I will call Sears next time at least they are kind, patient and authentic. The cleaning was okay, but I think any company could have done it cheaper...but hey not faster these guys were pretty eager to get out of here. read more

I used D-Mac Restoration again this year to clean our carpets. I have not changed my mind since I positively reviewed them last year. I had the same serious tech who arrived on time, (Who would have thought that the employees of a carpet cleaning service would last so long?) and he did another great job. We have been sub-letting our condo - always a chancy prospect - so the carpets were really dirty again. This year I had the entire carpet cleaned including at least 25 steps. The price was incredibly low and the carpet looks beautiful. Last year I was told that because I had tried to clean the carpet myself, there was probably soap that I had been unable to remove. The tech told me that the carpets should look better each time I have them cleaned because more of my soap would come out. Well, this guy does not lie. It looked great last year and, if possible, it looks better now. Not bad for a year's worth of heavy traffic. I'm sold on this company! read more
