Literally the worst Dave's location in all of Los Angeles. I go to Dave's in Glendale at least 3-4 times a week & just this location does not know how to make a reaper sandwich. I'm not sure what they do here but they they use a different reaper seasoning. Not the same as the rest Dave's location in SoCal. I have gone to countless locations in SoCal & I order reaper at each other them. I've asked them a few times to remake my sandwich because it is not edible AT ALL but they can never get it right. Today I submitted an order through Doordash. Took a few bites of my reaper sandwich. It immediately started burning my stomach, I ran to the restroom, started having hot flashes & passed out for a good 3 mins. When I woke up I puked it out. I got back from Nashville recently and have been on a fried chicken kick and desperately needed to try Dave's. Went in today and ordered the sliders- one lite mild with cheese and one medium. I loved them both. The bun is soft and fresh, the slaw and pickles add a great crunch and they both tone down the spice for sure. I was happy with my cheese on my not-so-spicy slider and no cheese on the medium. I have a so/so spice tolerance and the medium was perfect. Definitely a kick to it but nothing unbearable or needing a lot of water to wash it down. The fries were standard crinkle cuts and good. Loved the Dave's sauce on the side. I was so excited to learn there would be a Dave's in Glendale. Pretty good food. I should mention the price for an order online is a lot higher than it is if you were to place the order in the store, and I wish we had known that! I think around $3-5 or more difference depending on the item! They were not taking phone orders when we ordered last week, so my husband resorted to making an online order via Yelp app instead. The estimate time for the food was not correct on the app, so when we arrived there, we still had to wait about 10 mins for the order because it seems the order never went through on their end even though the funds were taken. Weird! This was kinda annoying because Dave's was super crowded when we arrived, and no one really wants to be in a crowd as of late. I hope the system improves in the next few weeks because glendale is definitely welcoming of Dave's being in our territory, and I'm sure they will continue to be busy! We ordered sliders with fries and tenders with fries and both were good! I love that they opened a Dave's Hot Chicken here in Glendale. The food is so delicious and it's close to other entities you can visit. The staff is nice and helpful and it can get busy here, but it's mostly a decent wait. Never like the Hollywood location. The reaper is so bust and delicious.
