got the Dave's #3 combo here, with a slider, a tender, and fries, which also came with texas toast and mayo sauce The tender was all-time amazing, just like last time. They actually gave me two - which was surprising The slider was also incredible - though it was secondary to the tender the chicken piece was a little bit small - especially compared to the tender, but the dave's sauce, pickles, and mayo still made it taste really good it would've been amazing just on its own as well the one thing i have to talk about here - it's my first time getting these - are the fries this was out of this world I don't think I've ever had fries this good in my life. Not just from a fast food place, from anywhere like dude the crunchiness was UNREAL every single pieces, even after it was no longer cold, had the absolute perfect texture i want in a fry. fries cannot be improved from here. it's over it was so amazingly, incredibly crispy on the outside and yet the inside did not feel overcooked at all - it was just perfect adding on to everything, the seasoning! these fries were liberally seasoned with a spice mix that added a perfect amount of flavor. so many fries are seasoned with just salt, but these spices were incredible on the fries if all that wasn't enough, the cup of Dave's Sauce that these came with was a wonderful dipping option Extra Hot was basically the perfect spice level for me - it provided the absolute peak of flavor I can't ask for much more This is random but way to redeem my Reaper experience For the price, this is an insane deal. About 1500 calories of incredible food, in three different varieties, for just about 15 dollars? So good The portion size here was more than enough for a really full meal The only thing I might say is the texas toast was a bit soft, but even that tasted good when dipped in the sauce, so i'm not even sure on that

Didn't expect to enjoy Dave's Hot Chicken as much as I do. Chicken was tender, juicy, and flavorful. For those who can't handle spicy, they offer no spice and lite mild, but heat is a nice addition even if light. They also have the special sauce that's similar to most mayo based sauces, but it's addicting. Service is solid and friendly, each time I go to pick up my order, they let me know their names and to call for them if I need anything. Quite a bit of seating available but somewhat compact. Definitely recommend Dave's #2 because the slider buns are much better than the sliced bread. Tenders are tasty but the slice of bread is bland, white bread that was slapped on the tray.

I wanted to check out the hype and incidentally was in Cap Hill. This place was packed. I wasn't expecting a line on Saturday lunch time. Minimal decor with good seating. The guy taking the order was let's just say doing his job. We got the Dave's #3 with a hot tender and extra hot slider. It comes with fries which are seasoned and real good When our order came about 10 min later it looked really good. And the first bite set the tone. The chicken was juicy and had a decent breaded crust. The spice rub was telling. However I didn't experience that "aha" moment. Questioning if the meal was worth 16 bucks. Tip: You can get Dave's sauce, hot honey and or ketchup with your order. If you write a google review they reward you with a free soda or milkshake. -1 star : They don't offer glasses for water!

Great late night stop as they stay open veryyy late every day. Ambiance is loud and definitely a lot of college kids and teens. We had a group of 3 boys cut the line in front of us and another couple to join their already large group of over 4 boys in front. Oh well but annoying and you'll see the entitlement. We waited in a long line but I felt they kept it moving quick as possible. The employees were friendly and kind. I could see they had more than 4 cooks in the back and they were working hard! Food was mid. For late late night it's good but I think Chikfila has juicer and crispier better chicken. The spice levels were alright. My man got mild and I chose hot. Hot was good but not insanely spicy so def go up a level if you enjoy heat. The spice is not a saucy spicy but like a spice spicy. I did my slider with no Dave's sauce and asked for extra hot sauce packets on the side (they give Louisiana's crystal hot sauce). The fries were nothing special at all and to be honest was my least fav part of the meal. Macaroni and cheese we ordered also was not memorable. For late late night the sandwich was tasty but definitely not a place I'm going out of my way for or going to crave.

Dave's Hot Chicken is a good option for Nashville style hot chicken in the Seattle area. The gold standard is still Howlin' Ray's (in LA) for me. The chicken at this location good, but the dry seasoning was a bit overdone where the chicken was a little bitter and left me with a powdery taste. The Dave's chicken bites were also not seasoned consistently. Some had good seasoning while other pieces did not. This place is busy being in Cap Hill and close to Seattle U. It's also hard to find parking. It's a fast food setup and can be hard to find a table during peak hours. Prices are reasonable for what you get. A 3.5 star experience but rounding down overall for how hard it was to find parking and a table at this place. Stop by if you're in the area, but not something you need to go out of your way for.

I came here a couple times already and I feel like every time it's a hit or miss. The chicken can either be super juicy or super dry depending on the day. Maybe because of how busy they are all the time, but there is no quality control. However, if you're looking for a late night snack or dinner this is the place to be if you're in the caphill area. I love how they give you a lot of pickles and give you a lot of sauce packets if you're a sauce girly like me. When I went, they also had slushy samples, which is was nice.

Fabulous hot chicken slider place!! Visited them post a hike and it was a treat to our taste buds. We ordered their 2 sliders and fries along with 2 tender with fries, spice level hot and extra hot. The hot is great has a good kick to it but the extra hot is not for the faint hearted. Their slider, fries and tenders everything was delish and their dave's sauce adds a great zing to the meal. Service was a tad bit slow but they keep slushies for tasting while your waiting so I aint complaining. They do have plenty of seating and this place is open until 2am on weekdays and 4am on weekends. Seattle needs more of such late night eateries. All in all love this place and il be a regular for sure!

I've been to this Dave's several times and it always has good vibes. It's usually pretty busy whenever I visit, but the staff are friendly and efficient and clearly working hard to keep things moving. The food is consistent and reliably good, and it's especially convenient that they're open late at night.

Dave's Hot Chicken specializes in Nashville-style fried chicken tenders and sliders with their spicy mayo sauce. Overall, the chicken is pretty solid, although the fries can be cooked a bit unevenly. There is a wide scale for spiciness and a medium level here still has some kick. Note that drinks are extra with their combos. Location opens late but parking can be challenging. Looks like a second location opened up in Redmond too.

After hearing about the hype of Dave's Hot Chicken, we had to come and try for ourselves. The line went fast, the employees were kind, and the price was fair. The batter had a great crunch and the chicken itself was tender, but the flavor didn't blow us away as we expected. The seasoning seems like it was mostly cayenne and paprika (not very spicy even though we got Hot for spice level) and the sauce is a bit like thousand island dressing. Overall a good place for a quick bite and is good for value, but wouldn't go out of my way for it.

I'm sure everyone knows this place already. I got to try it for the first time recently & it is delicious. We came around 9 PM, very hungry, post pickleball. The line was long and it's a war to find seating, but we came out victorious. The food took a reallllly long time to come out (but this was expected). They were handing out little slushie samples to keep people satiated. The pink color lemonade slushie was my favorite. The fries are my number one favorite thing here. They are so oily and seasoned (which is just the way I like it). Make sure you ask for extra extra sauce because it is the best part. I also tried the cauliflower sandwich, which was also delicious, but I defiantly liked the fries more. I needed more pickles with the sandwich. My friends loved their chicken. It came out a little spicier than normal this time. This will be my new go to spot for fries.

I love this place. I work nearby and come almost every week. Today I got a slider and when I tell you there was hardly any chicken in the breading.... Usually their strips are thick, juicy and filling (I can only finish 1). I felt like I just ate slivers of chicken with the breading. It was also super tiny. Im so disappointed and still hungry. We used to travel all the way to Portland for this chicken from the Seattle area. We were SO excited when we heard of the Capitol Hill location! We went 2 weeks after it opened and they had crowds well managed, orders weren't taking forever like you would expect and the food was so delicious and fresh. Location sucks for parking when you're coming from out of the city but we will take it to have a location up in WA! read more

Dave's Hot Chicken review 12/5/23: First I would like to start off by saying I paid 26.03 for the #3 and I also got a Large strawberry milkshake. The lady at the cashier was super nice considering there were so many people in the shop at once she also gave me a device which would buzz when my food was ready. I waited almost an hour for my food which is reasonable for the amount of people also waiting for their food and also taking in the fact that they make the food on order (my milkshake was also made and given to me when I received my food). I started off by eating the crinkle cut fries which were the only style of fries they had to offer and I must say the fries were well seasoned and crispy when fresh but got soggy not too long after. The fries held their own but with the Dave's sauce it added that sweetness to it. I give the fries a 7.6/10. I then moved on to the Chicken tender that came with the combo and I also forgot to mention that I ordered the hot spice level. One bite of this chicken tender I could tell that this place was the real deal. The breading itself was nice and crispy but the chicken... omg the chicken was nice and juicy once I took a bite i felt the juices exploding in my mouth! The chicken was nice and tender which most chicken shops don't really do. Moving on to the seasoning on to the flavor, it was well seasoned but I felt as though the "hot" overpowered the other seasoning which could be a mistake on my part I just wanted to see how their spice scale was looking like. So, yeah I give the chicken tender a 8.5/10. Moving on to the slider as they call it, the chicken that was on it was just as big as the tender I received on the side and that was nice. The slider had pickles, kale salad, chicken tender, buns and of course the Dave's sauce. The bun itself was pretty average I didn't notice anything too extravagant about it. Pickles were nice I enjoy pickles on my sandwich so that was a good addition. Kale salad was ok but I didn't really notice it when eating the burger I guess the seasoning on the chicken tender overpowered it. Again, the chicken tender was nice and succulent I was already full at this point but the chicken kept calling my name and I had to answer. If I was to rate the slider I would give it a 8.3/10. The combo also came with a piece of bread which seemed to be a normal piece of bread and lo and behold it was. I did dip it in the sauce and it did make me enjoy eating it more. I am going to have to rate the bread a 1/10 (it's literally just a piece of bread). Moving on to the milkshake which was my personal favorite part of the meal. They had 3 flavor options for the milkshake which were Vanilla, Strawberry, and Chocolate. I ended up going with Strawberry which I don't regret and after choosing a milkshake flavor you get the choice of adding oreos or m&ms as toppings, I went with oreos and the cashier who made the shake added a lot of oreos which was cool. A large milkshake which is what I got was not too big I wish it was bigger but we have bigger things to worry about in the world. I must rate the milkshake a 8/10. Overall Dave's Hot Chicken was a nice experience for me and their shop located in Capitol Hill near the sound transit station was very cool and had many different murals to look at from the inside. Customer service was great, food was good, environment was clean so, with all this in mind I would have to rate the newly opened Dave's Hot Chicken a 8.1/10. read more

i used to love dave's hot chicken. other locations were superb. this one however, is disgusting. it was so dirty and nothing was stocked. the food tasted way worse because of how atrocious the atmosphere was. all the boxes of food were in were covered in shit and my clothes even got dirty from sitting there. i will never be returning to this location and will tell everyone how gross it was. read more

The General Manager Michael (cap hill location) was so rude to me and he wouldn't stop yelling at me. I was trying to pick up a grubhub order for my friend while she was on the phone with me so he could hear her. He asked me multiple questions about the order and I answered all of them honestly with her still on the phone. She also attempted to give him more information while on my speaker phone but he just kept yelling at me. I walked out crying. When I came back in another employee tried to help me but he interrupted her and started asking me the same questions. He refused to give me my food even after I showed him her order confirmation email. He then yelled and said I was trying to commit fraud. I tried calling him after we ate our meal and he said "I'm not going back and forth with you". He wouldnt even let us speak. Our order was nearly $50 and we are Dave Hot Chicken regulars! The food looks good, but doesn't taste like much of anything. Maybe you need to order one of the spicy flavors and it would be better. I ordered the two tenders plate one medium and one mild with fries and a side order of mac & cheese. The texture of the chicken was really good, it was cooked very well. On the outside of the chicken it felt like it'd been rolled in uncooked spices after it was cooked so it felt powdery but didn't taste like anything. I finished the meal hoping the flavor would settle in, but nothing. The mac & cheese was very watery tasting and didn't taste like cheese at all, that I didn't actually end up finishing. I would personally skip trying it and go to Ezells and make your own slider instead. I gave 2 stars because the presentation and texture was good. read more

Went on opening day and the line was out the door around the building but the service was so quick!! I love their food and am soooo glad they opened up in Seattle and are open late:)) Got the Dave's #2 with hot spice level and it was super filling and flavorful. Dave's Hot Chicken was created by best friends Dave Kopushyan, Arman Oganesyan, and Tommy and Gary Rubenyan. Dave, a chef trained in Thomas Keller's (French Laundry) organization set out to create the perfect Hot Chicken by searching, tasting, and frying. The four friends scrounged up $900 to put a tiny stand in an East Hollywood parking lot. The menu was simple, and chicken was the star. And what chicken it is! Sourced and prepared to be the juiciest and most tender imaginable with each piece topped with Dave's own mix of spices ranging from "Mild" to "The Reaper". Arman created Instagram buzz and the lines began to grow. Two nights later, Eater/LA showed up to see what the fuss was about. The next morning's headline read "East Hollywood's Late Night Chicken Stand Might Blow Your Mind". Almost instantly, the lines stretched around the block. A year later, the boys had the money to open a shop in a hip strip-mall with de_cor by local street artists, where the crowds continued to grow with wait-times of an hour and more. From there, the incredibly craveable "Hot and Spicy" varieties have created a cult following with rave reviews across the U.S. and Canada.

In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept -- take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw -- they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long. After 6 months of running the pop-up with long lines, the team took the plunge and opened their first physical store in January 2018 in a sleepy strip center in East Hollywood. Demand for their crave-able hot chicken exceeded all expectations and sales have grown every month since opening with consistently long lines throughout the day.

After receiving our food, we were told not to sit down and were asked to leave the seating area altogether. The interaction felt abrupt and discourteous, especially given that we had arrived well before closing and had purchased food with the expectation that we could eat on-site. I was really excited to try this iconic LA spot when I heard they were opening a location in Seattle. So, late on a Saturday night, after grabbing drinks nearby, my friends and I decided to check out Dave's. Wanted a spot for some late night grub and Dave's Hot Chicken did not disappoint. The place has some seating but it's also good for take out. They were doing to go orders like pros. The counter for to go orders looked crowded but they had a system down and it worked. We took our food to go and had about a twenty minute drive and our food was still hot and fresh when we got home. We each got a combo #3, a slider and a tender and then a side of Mac and cheese and a small chocolate shake. The chicken is huge! Definitely getting your bang for a buck here. They only have Dave's sauce or cheese sauce, so if you want another dipping sauce, your out of luck (at least I couldn't find any). The Mac and cheese wasn't fancy, just noodles and a cheese sauce but it hit the spot for what I was craving - just old school cafeteria style Mac and cheese. Oh and the bun the slider was on, very yummy! The fries were crinkle cut and seasoned nicely. The shake was just alright for me. It was crowded and the line was a decent size but they give you buzzers and we didn't have to wait long. They had someone cleaning the bathrooms and the dining area, which was nice to see. Definitely going to be going here again. Limited menu but good chicken, and the fact they are open late is great! read more

Came here on a Friday night around 8:45pm. We're not from the area so we were anxiously following our Google Maps until we spotted the purple lights and saw a big crowd of people standing outside. The parking is really confusing because from what we saw it was only street parking and the roads are very tight. We looped around and got lucky with a decent stall up on a hill. All I can say is the hype is real!!!! After weeks of watching YouTube videos of this yummy chicken I can say it's frickin awesome! I got medium spice level and the hubby got mild. We got 2 sliders and 4 tenders. There was a line, but it moved quickly. The workers were kind and looked happy even though they might of been stressed with the crowd. The place was packed with young adults or kids? who just like all of us- like themselves some yummy hot chicken! When our buzzer went off we grabbed our food (to go) and asked for extra extra Dave's sauce. The worker did NOT skimp and threw in a huge handful (god bless you lol). Best fried chicken I've ever had. So flavorful and just the right amount of spice. Can you guys make a location in Hawai'i?! I'll be your #1 customer haha!!
