Having been down in Nashville and having tried the famous Nashville hot chicken I wil say that Dave's comes close! Any place up in mass that says it makes Nashville hot doesn't come close to the crispy well made fried chicken to that of Nashville's. So if your looking for a legit hot chicken joint up here I recommend getting it from these guys. Chicken options are limited to tenders, which lets be honest a thigh beats a tender in taste any day, but they brine it well so the tender is crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. My brother in law lives on the West Coast and raved about this place. He came home for Xmas and we went. He was right. This place was awesome. I got the slider/tender combo reaper style. The heat was perfect. Hot enough to make your nose run and your mouth tingle well after you finished. The chicken was crispy and moist and full of flavor. Fries were good too. Was pretty busy but staff was pleasant and food came out pretty quick. Think they could improve the logjam that ensued around the order pickup and soda machine area as to make it flow better. For all people out there giving 1-2 stars whining about things like "I was expecting Nashville quality bla bla bla..." or complaining about long wait times on the grand opening weekend... Just STOP! Having said that, this is probably the best chicken sandwich I've had in a while. The quality of the chicken was great, seasoning and breading was great. I tried the mild spice level and there was a little kick, but what I would expect for mild. I typically don't like pickles and coleslaw, but I tried the slider as is and the combination of the sauce, pickles and slaw was just awesome! If you are looking for a quality chicken sandwich, that is simple yet super flavorful, this will DEFINITELY hit the spot!
