Went for my birthday dinner. We ended up on patio since I did it last minute, but they have no fans, no misters or anything for which is crazy when in AZ. We waited a while to get water, asked a waitress who walked by and she didn't care. The food was not great. Ranch had a weird taste to it. After we got appetizers they moved us inside thankfully, they said they would bring our appetizers in and they threw it. The asparagus also had a weird taste to it. This has been my favorite restaurant until recently. While premium-priced, it was always worth it. The last two times the service has not been great and the portions have been noticeably downsized -- even the side salad. Went for my birthday and was served severely undercooked salmon. Almost like sushi. They agreed to recook, but apparently just took a burger and singed the outside. Who does that? Ugh. I sent back and did not have a meal at all. Dinner was okay, my steak was flavorful but the bread could be warm and the salad was just okay. My main issue is that I ordered a pound of crab but was charged for 1.5 pounds. I raised the issue with the server and he came back to say that a pound and 1.5 pounds are charged the same. Market rate is the price.. Alaskan king is 63.99 a pound today, but I was charged 104 for 1.5 pounds. What sets them apart from the Keg,? can't say I'll return. read more

The service was impeccable, the atmosphere comfortable and pleased with a decent selection of wines. The porter house was thick, delicious and the fillet melt in your mouth tender. Reasonably priced and a great setting for a family date night. It's so much fun walking downtown chandler and grabbing a bite to eat at a non chain restaurant. This is a hard review to leave. This is the worst service I have had in a restaurant for years. 1.) arrived to restaurant. Told hostess we are here for happy hour special. She asked if we wanted to sit outside or the bar, we wanted to sit outside, but then we were told that was unavailable and we would need to sit at the bar for happy hour specials. 2.). As we are looking at the happy hour menu, we were told by one of the female bartenders That there was no happy hour today. "Don't know why, it's just how it is. That's what they told us. Maybe because of Father's Day or something. Okay...... Trying to decide if this is really where we want to eat since 2/2 people weren't very friendly. Placed order with male bartender. Food took awhile to come out. Leaves us with our food and goes off to attend to to the other patrons at the bar. I ordered a cheeseburger and asked for mayo, ketchup and raw onion. It seemed like my request took him aback a bit. Don't know why. Those are normal condiments to a burger. I got up to get my own salt from another table since the bartender didn't seem like he was going to be coming around to my end anytime soon to ask. By the way, they charged me $1 for raw onion. Doesn't come with the lettuce and tomato. Wow! This is what was happening around the bar : The bartender was attending to customers very nicely around the bar refilling waters, Repeatedly asking if everything is okay asking "is that enough pepper for you, chatting with another male in the bar area. It was not a packed bar. We were there early, 4:00. Finally came over and I said to him, you never came around for me to tell you that my fries were barely warm when they came out. He asked if I wanted new order. I was almost finished with my burger by the time he managed to come around for me to even tell them. I told him to just take the fries off my bill. He didn't. Still charged $21 plus $1 raw onion. Fine paid it. No tip deserved. So, what I did notice at the bar was that the excellent customer service was given to groups that had at least one male and were drinking alcohol. It would have been nice to have a glass a wine after my hamburger, but I was too uncomfortable to be at the bar any longer. Had I known that I would have had such terrible service at the bar, I never would've sat there, but was told to for happy hour specials that were non-existent today. Oh, and the inattentive male bartender never came around to us after I told him the fries were barely warm. A female did come over after we finished eating and cleared our plates. Finally, another female bartender asked us if we wanted more water since our glasses were empty and she also cashed us out. I would've left her a tip, So, he dumped his work onto another female to finish for him. Nice! Must be a relative! read more

Nice decor, fantastic service, but the steak was just okay. I got a sirloin steak and the thing was charred and bitter on the outside and very tough and chewy. I've had better steak at Outback. I could have gotten a higher quality cut of beef, sure, but I wasn't in the mood to drop $50+ for a filet or a ribeye. A good steakhouse should have high quality steaks across the board. The standout for me was the mashed potatoes. Those had just the right amount of buttermilk tang and were velvety and delicious. I wish I enjoyed my meal more, but it was just a middling at best for me. read more

I think a more apt name for this place might be 'The Salt Lick'. Went there last night with sister and her husband. They got the top sirloin and I the ny strip. I opted for the fries as to dress out the baked as offered was extra. The sirloins were oddly almost identical, do these things come out of a mold? The amount of salt these were seasoned with was incredible, I dunno perhaps these where beluga whale steaks? Salad was okay. Service was prompt and attentive. Ambiance was alright not too dark or bright , noise level was acceptable though you can hear the band from the bar across the way. I'd equate the food to a Lone Star steakhouse in a higher rent district, prices a little high for what you get, but not too high. read more

We have been going to this restaurant at least one time a month for the last four years. It has definitely gone downhill. Before, the owners were around and talking with tables and now it seems to be a lot of turnover with managers. Last night we had early reservations at 5 PM so it was very quiet. We had our nine-year-old with us and we saw a sandwich pass our table headed to the bar and we asked what it was because we were going to order that for our child. The waitress said she would love to let us order it because they do not offer a kids menu. She said she would ask the manager. The manager on duty was the strawberry blonde woman, and she said she would not allow us to order off of the bar menu for our child while sitting in the main dining room. Even though we would pay full price, not happy hour price, so our child could have a steak sandwich rather than a giant adult entrée. This is absolutely ridiculous. The manager should use her common sense and customer service skills and adjust things when needed to accommodate customers. Especially when the waitress was so kind and willing to do it but the manager vetoed it. We then decided to order the spaghetti entrée and have our nine year old and 12 year old split it (it's huge, could feed 2-3 adults). Guess how much it is to split a spaghetti entrée? $10! When they don't even offer anything for kids. Unbelievable. The manager did look absolutely miserable all evening like she did not want to be there. Sadly, it's little things like this that make restaurants go downhill quick. Time to start looking for another place. read more

I would say the food was really great. The bone in rib-eye was perfectly cooked with a little char on the outside and the calamari had a great consistency. I would skip the cocktails, it doesn't seem they have a mixologist able to make an old fashioned but they brought an alternative drink out for me after I tasted the first ice filled attempt. I understand AZ no longer has a mask mandate, but every other establishment I have went in still requires staff to wear masks. DCs acted like the pandemic never happened. Not a mask in sight and no COVID procedures were mentioned...leading me to believe they had none. This was extremely disappointing to see the lack of care and concern for their customers. read more

Zero stars!! Never in my life,I had the worst service ever. We came here to visit with our friends and would love to have a great time in a nice steakhouse. I had a reservation thru open table at 7pm. We arrived at 6:50pm, checked in with the hostess. She told us to wait outside while they get our table ready. We didn't get in till 10min later which we don't mind. We understand that. Then she seated us on the room and in the corner. We seated for 30min with no one acknowledged us, not even a hi to us. While the couple next to us arrived 10min after us,got water and bread. There were 4 servers passing by and looking, but none of them say anything. So our friend talked to the hostess letting her know that we have not been approached by anyone. She told us a server will be right with us. We waited there for another 15min, nobody stopped by. So we got up. My friend went to speak to the manager, Sasha. He only can apologize and ask us to sit. So, no, we just left and move to another restaurant across the stress, with an awesome service!! read more

This is kind of a tuff one here for the rating and I'll try to explain why. First off I'll start with the place itself, walking in you have nice outside seating under the cover and when you get inside you get a good romantic feel. There's dim lighting, candles at the tables and nice painting ma hanging. At the very back is the bar where it seems to be set up nice I just didn't make it back that far. We were seated right away wasn't to busy and we had some high hopes for the place just from being seated. Our waiter was awesome, very helpful always smiling and checked on us frequently. Where the review gets a little rough is because of the food. Tried ordering three different ones and unfortunately they were all out and ended up paying a little more to get the porterhouse. Now the steak was cooked perfect did have a few rough spots in to cut but the flavors were good on it. Now the swordfish on the other hand felt under cooked a tad and if you push down on it water was running out of it. Didn't have good flavor was was disappointing and the potatoes wow. For the type of place they try to make it look, why would it come out wrapped in foil plain and for being loaded we had to add the ingredients ourselves. It was a tad cold as well but eatable. Not sure if we will be back, was really wanting to love this place. read more

So this was really disappointing. My father ordered a medium-rare filet mignon that cost $56, and it came out raw. He asked the waitress to bring it back to the kitchen for the cooks to get it to medium-rare, but the steak came back out as burnt and still raw. The waitress did not fight for us and did not take the steak order off of our order when we asked if she could. We were also sat next to the kitchen doors, and the hostess even told my mother not to sit in one chair because a server could run into her. For $250 for three of us, this was disappointing! We will not return again. Also, the bread they served us was not good. It was sourdough bread toast, basically something you can buy at a grocery store. read more

To celebrate our anniversary (which happened to fall on a weekday), I wanted to surprise my husband by taking him somewhere that we could get the experience of a higher-end steakhouse but that wouldn't require us to drive over 45 minutes from Gilbert/Chandler. I had seen DC Steak House highly recommended on community Facebook pages for the last few years so decided to give it a try. After our experience the other night, I can confidently say I don't understand the hype. AT. ALL. To be fair, after reading some of the reviews on here, I had mentally prepared myself for "better than Texas Roadhouse but worse than Steak 44" - and to put it nicely, Texas Roadhouse (in both quality and service) beat this place by leaps and bounds. It started off strong and took a steep dive off a cliff. As we got seated, the waitress greeted us almost immediately and took our drink orders. Upon her return, she told us what the specials were and asked if we needed a few more minutes to decide. Based on the new information of the specials, we said we needed just two more minutes. About 20 minutes later, she returned to take our order...........annoying, but whatever. As we had decided on the special of the Waygu for two special for $180, it came with two sides (French fries, sweet potato fries, or a baked potato) which apparently could not be subbed for any of their "normal" sides on their menu. WTF. Why would we not be able to order mashed potatoes as a side when it was a side offered on their menu? So because we didn't want any of the limited three sides offered (which was not disclosed to us upfront when making a decision), we had to order sides off the menu and pay full price for those and just not get sides with "the special" but still pay the $180 special price. What type of higher end steak house does not allow substitution of sides that ARE ON THEIR MENU?!? Then we tried ordering another side of Mac n Cheese without the lobster and were told again, "Nope, we can't make it without the lobster." Whaaaaa...?! So, they either make the sides ahead of time or get them frozen and just thaw them out before serving since they couldn't do this slight adjustment. Again, not a consistent experience to a nicer steak house that charges what it does. Then came the actual food. The plate with our steak that was supposed to feed two came out and it just looked so sad. It maybe had 10 thin pieces of steak on it and some really fatty ends to make it look like it wasn't as pathetic as it really was. The quality of the steak was worse than the Waygu steak you can get on sale at Fry's. The sides which we paid extra for were so-so, nothing to write home about, and the service remained meh. Our bill came out to be over $300 and we left hungry, astonished/confused, and disappointed. Overall, we're glad we tried some place new, but caution anyone thinking of going here and expecting a higher end steak house experience. Save your money and time and invest in a trip out to Steak 44 or even Fry's or Texas Roadhouse - you'll get a better ROI all around with those two places over this place. read more

Tried this place last year still very confused environment. Had reservations and thought we would sit at the bar for happy hour. Several open seats but saved for other people. When the host says it's open seating and the bar tender is saving for his locals cause a bit of confusion. Sat us at the smallest table for two I have ever seen. Asked to forget the bar seen and try to sit us at a very small table. People I'm 6'4. I gave up ordered nothing and walked out. What a joke. This is our go-to steakhouse in Chandler. My wife and I have always have great service here and the food is just as good. I can get a medium rare steak cooked here consistently, which is a lot more difficult with other steakhouses. Another plus it that there's a free parking garage a short distance away. read more

This is the second time and it was worst. For a steak house and over $ 480 meal I was so disappointed. They serve the bread cold, nothing special. Then we waited a long time for the food, even the waitress came to apologize for the delay for our salads. She was not attentive, one of my friends ordered a burger and she didn't even ask if she needed ketchup or anything. That burger looked so dry. The service was meh and she was running around like a chicken with her head cut off. Poor thing. Breathy and out of sorts when she would finally get to our table (which was not often). The bread was stale and cold. I couldn't cut it with a steak knife. Salads came but no pepper offered and we had to wait to get a different waitress to help us with more water and salt pepper! With reservations, we were sat by a kitchen door that opened and closed with servers constantly. There was a distinct smell of disinfectant wafting the area which could be a good thing but doesn't go well with filet. On a good note, the steak was excellent and ribs fell off the bone!! A celebratory at DC Steakhouse a great choice. From the moment we were greeted by the hostess and when we left at the end of the evening, everything was perfect. The dinner salad and a bread basket started the meal, followed by my entree choice - ribeye cooked medium. My ribeye was very nicely seasoned and cooked exactly how I ordered.
