Meeting friends for lunch in Deerfield Beach and of course this restaurant was the first to show up on Google. We saw many indifferent reviews, but since the location that was convenient for us and the friends, who we were intending to Rene zvous with for an afternoon brunch. We entered and was seated immediately in a very comfortable spot in the restaurant, with a beautiful view of the ocean and the beach by our soon to be server extraordinaire who identified as "Nicole". Orders were taken and the food came quickly. The short time we waited, Nicole made sure our cups were never empty of coffee of tea. Our food arrived, plated just as we ordered it. I had their Eggs Benedict that came with an innovative twist.... Layered between the perfectly pouched egg and English muffin was a bed of fresh arugula topped with a tomato and hollandaise sauce on the side as requested. For a little dessert we asked for 2 Valentine cupcakes to acknowledge that Valentine's Day is tomorrow. Definitely the place you need to go for breakfast, the omelets are the best. With an absolutely amazing view of the ocean and the fishing pier, there is both outdoor and inside seating with a full liquor bar, and countertop seating with views of the ocean. Didn't have any issues with the wait staff, was promptly seated and given a menu and offered drinks. They do get busy, so make sure you know what you want when you order. The manager was a a very nasty person . We went to celebrate my friend birthday and he refused to let us sit together . Group of ten total Said can not seat all of us in one table because he will loose money . Just left this place. I had no choice but to get up from my table and leave as starved as my wife and I were. First we had to wait to be seated despite 5 empty tables outside. Finally one of the the waitresses said we could sit at one of the outside tables so we did. Not 1 minute later they were served water, handed a menu and 2 minutes after that the server took their order. I had no choice but to get up and ask the manager if we could get a server for our table. As luck would have it, it was the same waitress that skipped us to serve the people that just sat down. She brought 1 menu and took our order for coffee. She brought us and the table next to us the coffee at the same time and in the same breath took the sugar from our table and gave to the other table. I went here for the first time today with a friend who had flown in from New York to visit me. We were walking on the pier and then decided to get something to eat. This seemed to be the perfect spot. We were in a good mood and weather was great and we really wanted this to be a nice lunch. The hostess asked us to wait for 10 mins as we wanted to be seated outside on the beach. She was very nice and seated us on time. our server then came and you can tell had a bad attitude. Still we were enjoying so we started with our order for drinks. To my shock when the server took the order down and then realized that we needed more time to figure out the food he cussed at us using the F word and stormed away. I couldn't believe it and have never experienced something like this. I walked inside and asked him if we heard him right or what was the issue. He started yelling and stormed away. I demanded to see the manager who then came out and asked us what was wrong. When we explained his response was "the server is saying he never said anything to you". Again we couldn't believe it. My friend explained that the server most certainly did swear. The manager didn't apologize and said well we will give you another server but the original server is saying he never said that. We both were furious and left. I don't normally write reviews. My friend and I are both CEO's and professional. i understand sometimes people have bad days but swearing at a customer out of nowhere is unacceptable and the audacity of the manager was shocking. This was the absolute worst service team and leadership I have ever come across. We felt horrible and I live locally and this place is not a reflection of the type of hospitality and vibe our local community has. Amazing ocean views, eggs perfectly cooked and friendly wait staff. However... No one was seating people when we entered the restaurant , we waited for a booth to be cleaned, asked if we could sit there and were told yes. We sat in the booth waiting to order when a short muscle bound guy, I guess the greeter came over ..told us to move, that we were not on the list, embarrassing us in front of the crowded restaurant. When I politely said that is not the way to treat a guest he continued his aggressive behavior. Evidently he is the same way to the staff there as well as the guests because they shared a few incidents with us.... This is a smallish, unpretentious restaurant with a home-town vibe, the kind of place you might go to for breakfast and find a bunch of locals sitting at a table talking about politics. That is, if you're lucky enough to have a home town where you can eat outdoors with a nice view of a palm-tree lined beach. This place has two big pluses. One is its location, right at the foot of the pier, and steps away from the Wyndham resort. It thus offers an attractive and cheaper alternative for people who don't like paying the inflated prices of a hotel restaurant. Another great feature is that apparently all menu items are served all the time, so you don't have to wait until noon if you want lunch. (Quite a lot of the restaurants in the vicinity, I noted, don't open until noon.) I ate here twice. The first time was for breakfast at 7 AM. (Contrary to the webpage for this restaurant, they don't start at 6:30.) I had bacon and eggs ($12), which were good but nothing to write home about. The best feature was the home fries, but I didn't get very many of those. Then the next day I had an early lunch here; I got the patty melt and fries ($15), also quite good but nothing earthshaking. With the exception of the home fries, the portions were quite large. Service was hit and miss. On the breakfast day, it was fast and attentive, but on the lunch day, I sat at my outdoor table for a full 10 minutes before anybody came around with a menu. If you eat outdoors, you should know that there are a reasonable amount of birds that may come visit you. I didn't mind this, but others might. When I had lunch, I noticed a mother and young daughter (maybe four or five years old) at a nearby table; a bird came by and sat on the back of an empty seat at their table. The kid was delighted, the mom somewhat less so. read more

We have been to this place a few times, but this is my first time reviewing it. First off you can't beat the location. It is ocean front and has beautiful views of Deerfield beach right by the pier. There's seating outside facing the ocean and sitting inside as well. We sat at the bar facing the ocean which was perfect which was inside. We didn't want to sit outside because it was a little too hot but we still wanted to see the ocean. So this was a good comprise! We sat down right away and our waiter was right with us. We each ordered an egg dish and pancakes to split. The pancakes were my favorite. They were huge and fluffy and just tasted amazing. I wanted more. Our egg dishes were good as well. The service was quick and effective and we never waited more than a few minutes after asking for something. The prices were beyond reasonable as well. Where to start. Came in on Friday night around 7:30. The manager tells there is 15 minute wait to sit outside. After about 10 minutes I look outside and there are at least 2 tables open. Then a couple walks right passed us, and grabs a table outside closest to the beach. Then they seat us next to the building. I say to manager, what's with that, she says what do u want me to do tables just opened up. I order a margaretta with salt. They bring it out then tell me they can't find the salter. My son orders fish and chips, they bring it out and then say we have no tarter sauce....never again......never again...they really could care less read more

This place is horrible. I went to the bathroom before I went up to order because I was coming from the beach. When I went to the bathroom they started banging on the door & tried opening it. WHILE I WAS GOING TO THE BATHROOM. When I came out I just decided to leave because of what happened & the owner decided to tell me it wasn't a public restroom & obviously I knew that. I just decided to leave without even trying to explain that I was just going to the bathroom first and then I was going to order. The whole experience was creepy and just rude. Only open about a month, I was eager to check the cafe out. I remembered the original pier restaurant that had not changed a bit for the 30+ years it had been there. This is a welcome addition for locals like myself , as well as tourists in the area. First, it's a brand new building with impressive views of the ocean, part of the total rebuilding of the fishing pier and the walking/sitting area near it, financed by the City of Deerfield Beach. Kudos to the City. The offerings are diner style, large portions, take out available. Outdoor seating, but not protected from sun or rain :( It is clear, very well staffed with eager servers who are pleasant and fast. I've had breakfasts, a huge salad, coffee so far, and everything was quite good. Only downside: challenging parking. Oh, it is open 24/7, which is great. I plan to get there one dat to watch the sunrise :) read more

Not sure how this place got over 4 stars maybe For its location and breakfast but I had coconut shrimp which was tiny for the price should have been super jumbo and 8 of them not 6 and the hamburger was thin and tasteless should have been twice the size for the $15 price And the coleslaw was way too mushy needed a lot less sauce I guess I'm spoiled by Ben's kosher deli ! and they need fans on the left hand side very hot there might have been a breeze on the right hand side But not on that side also the bathrooms need a lot of work very low class !!!the soap in a container was like water I think they could afford to put something on the wall and update them alot more.. read more

First timer actually sitting here. The place has been open for about a year and has an amazing location on the beach, by th pier. We set outside, got some sun after a couple hrs of working out in and out the beach. The place is awesome for people watching, nice mix of hot girls and guys and older people walking around. I had some ice tea and my friend got ice coffee. The place wasn't busy, but it took about 20 min for the drinks to come out. Walked in and the waiter told us to sit anywhere we wanted. After we did it was a LONG time before our waitress even brought us menus. By the way, the waitress had ZERO personality and seemed almost bothered to take our order. My daughter ordered a milkshake and the waitress asked if she wanted it now and she said yes. Well, we didn't get the milkshake until our food was almost gone. That was after reminding her twice about the milkshake. Mind you, there were only 3 tables with customers at the time. We watched her stand around and talk and flirt with the cool instead of doing her job. Refills never came. Then we see her walk out the door with her keys and she was gone. The food was awful. Pretty great experience. The food was good for beach food but our waitress was great. I'm one of those that has no qualms getting up and walking out if the experience isn't great and had just done that at another location- so the poor soul already had an uphill battle with me. We came here because my kids really wanted to eat ON the beach. This was a perfect spot. It's definitely diner food, but everything was fresh and presented well. My kids loved their food and she made sure we didn't have any pineapple (allergy). Coffee was good and kept full. We people watched and enjoyed a leisurely breakfast. The wildlife was pretty active and I'm pretty sure there's a giant Anole lizard that should probably be checked for mutations. He might be 1/2 iguana. read more
