Went to Del Friscos Grille in the shops at legacy tonight. I had Olivia as my server she was amazing, my food came came out quick but not too quick, every thing was on point! Olivia is the best server I've had in years!! Her attention to detail and knowing when to come back to check on me was perfect!! The Chef even stopped by !! Impressive!! I will start with positive: The hosts were super sweet and engaging and seated us immediately. The waitstaff was knowledgeable, kind, efficient and quick. The patio had two huge fans that kept the space super comfortable in the Texas heat, which I loved because I usually get cold inside of a restaurant, so the great patio option was a plus. Here goes the negative: I ordered the daily special of ribs, the server came back and said they were all out. No worries, I used to be a server and I know that they get a certain number of specials and when they are out they are out. I changed my order to the chicken, bacon, avocado wrap. I'll include a picture, but that was the most flavorless wrap I have ever had. There was bacon it it! When bacon can't save a dish, I don't know what else to say. The fries came out super oily, and tasted like they went straight from the freezer to the fryer. Now, I have never been to Del Frisco's or Del Frisco's Grille (until today), but I have always heard of good food and experiences. I, unfortunately, didn't really get either of those. My bad for assuming a place like that would have hand cut fries that were fresh. The best thing on the plate was the mini ketchup bottle that they provided. That was cute and it tried really hard to help out the French fry situation. Lastly: I won't put this on management because I didn't speak up and say anything, but there was a group on the patio that had one specific guy that had ZERO manners. I understand an after work happy hour turn up, but the way he was screaming songs as loud as he could and trying to "hit on" a lady that was waiting for her dinner companion in the most disrespectful manner, was not cool. The guy was creating a scene and it was excessive and continuous and it seemed like staff didn't care. If he wanted to act like he was at a bar, he should have popped across the street to an ACTUAL bar. We, of course, took care of our server as none of that was really her fault, but I will not be returning nor recommending this establishment. read more

I came to Del Frisco's Grille for a private dinner last Friday. The interior design is a lot nicer than the one in Uptown, and it's probably because it's brand new. I thought the service we had was wonderful. We were in their private dining room in the front of the restaurant and had servers continuing to come in and out throughout the night to take drink orders, etc. I had a few glasses of one of the Pinot Noir's by the glass. The dinner started off with warm and soft bread, which I was glad to have since I was so hungry. The first course was a Caesar Salad. I am not a huge fan of Caesar salads, but this one was good. Of course the salad was drenched in dressing, but I figured that night would be my cheat night. For the second course, I selected the Salmon. The salmon was seared to a fine light crisp on the outside and medium on the inside. It was good, but wasn't accompanied with anything. For our sides, we had mashed potatoes and asparagus served family style. The asparagus had absolutely no taste to it whatsoever. On the other hand, the mashed potatoes were delicious! For dessert, we received two desserts, served family style. The Lemon Cake was moist, with a slight lemon and buttery taste. I am not a huge fan of lemon cake, but I was for this one. The chocolate cake with ice cream was not very impressive, but it may be due to the fact that there was raspberry glaze drizzled all over it making it too sweet. Congratulations Del Frisco's Grille on your newest location! They definitely have a prime location in the shops of Legacy. This location is just as beautiful as their uptown location, however I did not spot any outdoor seating. I came in for their dinner Restaurant Week menu with some girlfriends. Our waiter was very patient and didn't interrupt as we caught up with each other. He found the opportune time to step in and explained the menu so thoroughly. I started off with the VIP Martini which is their pineapple infused vodka. I highly recommend this drink but I caution you because its so good, you may have more than just 1. As a starter, I had the deviled eggs. They packed those babies up with as much filling as possible. I'm a sucker for truffle oil and their special touch of truffle-chive vinaigrette adds just the right amount of richness. I couldn't help myself but finished it all on my own. I had the seared salmon medallions for my entree. I was expecting multiple pieces of salmon but to my surprise, was presented a large salmon steak cooked exactly to my liking. It was wonderfully paired with a quinoa brussel sprouts salad. Because the deviled eggs were so big, I barely had any room for my entree. They were kind enough to pack this up for me to take home. The waiter asked if I wanted my dessert boxed up but little did he know, I always have room for dessert! I had the nutella bread pudding which was paired with coffee ice cream. I loved it! It wasn't too sweet but still satisfied my sweet tooth to end my meal. Throughout our meal, we were checked on by the waitstaff and the manager. My first experience of a Del Frisco grill was at a yelp event while ago (uptown location) and I was bowled over by the friendliness of the staff and quality of food. Therefore seeing one open in my neighborhood was happy news indeed This Del Frisco is stunning. Contemporary design with two floors (the top floor more of a loft) I went to the soft opening and again now it has officially opened. Both were great visits and the staff were fantastic even though it is new abs extremely popular (busy busy busy) Even though this is a casual version of their steakhouse the steaks were phenomenal. Easily as good as capital grill or Bobs steak nearby. The coconut cream pie was to die for! Really happy this opened stumbling distance from me. I came here for dinner last summer when the restaurant first opened and wasn't really a fan at all as I had the SALTIEST steak I've ever had in my entire life (so salty that I cut the entire top layer of the filet where the seasoning was in order to eat it). Decided a few weeks ago it was time to give it another shot, and I'm glad I did. Just goes to show you most restaurants have to go through the initial "growing pains" before they succeed. A few weeks ago, I met a friend here for dinner. We shared a few apps (the mushroom flatbread, brussel sprouts, and mac and cheese were all amazing) and tried their special pineapple cocktail which was so good. Very light and refreshing and a great drink to start with. The service in the bar area was fantastic, and the bartenders were so friendly/attentive the whole time. Yesterday I went back for brunch and had an equally great experience. My friend and I shared a carafe of mimosas (you can ask for the oJ on the side like we did) and I had the eggs benedict which was really delicious but a little hard to actually cut through...it became more like deconstructed eggs benedict. Just so you know, the brunch options don't come with anything on the side (no potatoes, fruit, etc) but incredibly filling regardless. Make sure you check out the covered patio...it's great because it's not on the main road, but you still have a great view and get the fresh air while you eat. read more

We have had dinner here a couple of times and the food has always been good. The impossible burger is actually really tasty and tastes just like a good hamburger. The white sangria is excellent and I love the amount of choices you have for wine. Jessica was our server and she was great. It was a rainy Dallas Valentine's Day and I wanted to make sure my lovely wife was able to have a fine lunch (we avoid going out in the evenings on key holidays due to the overabundance of others out crowding places). They greeted us warmly as we shook off the precip and seated us in view of the kitchen. Behind that glass was an immaculate food prep area and bustling staff working what was, for us, to be magic. Now I need to preface this next section with a caveat - we have hit several steak houses on the north side of DFW and met with decent to indifferent quality on the steaks - we were in fact looking for that holy grail - the perfectly cooked steak. Good sear and a touch of char, medium rare, no excessive seasoning (let the meat speak for itself), warm red center with nice juiciness. We both ordered the steaks with the portobello mushrooms, mine with the jalapeño/bacon mashed potatoes, hers with the regular mashed. Leading off our lunch we claimed an order of the shiitake/arugula/carmelized onion truffle oil flatbread, which was splendid. The flavors were well-balanced and tantalizingly savory. Then came our entrèes. First glance, the cut was perfect and evidence of that desired little bit of char and an even sear. First cut - the knife glided down and exposing the center - it was perfectly cooked. The manager who had delivered our food (my wife had made some specific requests as she is very pepper sensitive) lingered to make sure we were satisfied. First bite was incredible. Exactly the much longed-for complexities in the taste we had been seeking! And each bite after that only tasted better. My dear wife who seldom raves after the fact for most of our restaurant experiences, still two days later remarks on the exquisiteness of the steak. Altogether, and taking nothing away from the delectable chocolate raspberry torte for our dessert, it was gustatorial bliss for our lunch. Our waiter was very attentive, ensuring our experience was well-informed, and delightful. The manager on duty was friendly and made sure our meal was prepared as we ordered it. Had lunch here with a fairly good sized group (about 16) recently. I don't usually comment on service unless it's spectacularly good, or spectacularly bad; this was the former. We were taken care of very well by a few servers throughout the meal service. Great job! For the food, I sampled a couple of appetizers: Ahi tuna tacos were very good. Little crisp shells, although the shells weren't the typical fried corn, and a good quantity of raw ahi with a couple of flavorful drizzles, these were worthy of savoring. Chicken wing lollipops were nice as well, but could have used a bit more spice. They were presented nicely, however, and the blue cheese drizzle was very flavorful. I selected the green chile burger with sweet potato fries, and honestly, my only issue with the whole dish was that the meat patties were a little thin and too far into "well done" territory for me. That's not to say that they were overly dry, and they did have flavor, but I'd prefer a little pink. The whole burger, though, with added bacon and avocado, was very delicious. Nice heat from the chiles and the jalepeno jack cheese, and a very nice quality brioche style bun rounded out the package. Plus, it's big enough make a serviceable second meal if you're not a big eater. The fries were some of the best I've had, perfectly fried and seasoned, and served with an adorable little squeeze bottle of ketchup, which might keep you honest on serving size. After being seated immediately, our team was immediately offered our beverage selections and had the menu explained to us. The vibe is good here. It is a bit dark for lunch, but I can see how this is great for dinner. The decor is modern and their lunch time $12 special for 2 items is great for this quality of food. I did not order from the $12 special, but instead, had the shaved prime steak sandwich. This was like a French Dip, but with better and thicker meat. I came with a good amount of fries that were crispy and good. The sandwich itself, along with the dipping sauce satisfied me fully and I would gladly order this again. Service was mediocre. Waiter was very nice when he was around. We came for lunch and it was a slow time (literally no people around our vicinity by the time our food arrived). So even though it was slow, we were there an hour and probably spent half of that time just waiting around for the waiter to show up. I pretty much watched my food come up in the kitchen and just sit there for several minutes. Eventually a different waiter saw the food sitting there and delivered it to us. I should have tipped him instead. The food looked good but everything was salty. The steak salad, chicken pot pie, and truffle mac and cheese would have been delicious if not for the high amount of salt in the meal. I wasn't able to finish my meal though we were able to finish the salad. Overall, food looked better than it tasted. Glad we were only here for a lunch. read more

Tonight was the first time we'd ever visit a Del Frisco's Grille. I have to say, this being a training event. Officially will open on June 19. We had an awesome time. Nick, our server, was great. He recommended appetizers. Drinks. And dinner. Which was great. Especially since it was our first time ever going to eat at a Del Frisco's grille. I had the prime beef short rib stroganoff. The meat was so tender. It melted in my mouth. The Brown gravy had mushrooms in it. I can't explain how delicious it was. You'll have to try it. My husband had the bay of fundy salmon with a side of cole slaw. He really enjoyed it. It was amazing. It was cooked perfectly. The portions of our meals were terrific! You are guaranteed not to leave hungry. We had the warm chocolate cake. Vanilla ice cream and raspberry sauce. Taste buds were so happy! Lol If you're in this area. Give this place a try. We were welcomed in by a great staff! Oh. And try the Tennessee peach drink. Omg. It's amazing. Yum yum yum. One more thing! Please tip your servers well!!! My husband and I recently went here for our anniversary and it was just okay. We were super excited because we've heard great things but it was honestly nothing special. I feel like they definitely did try, so I love that.. but I still don't think I'll be back. When we first arrived and got to our table, there was a handwritten anniversary card which was such a cute touch! The drinks were also delicious. Now, onto the "just okay" part. Our server, while attentive, wasn't the most friendly...just very cold and serious. Nothing wrong with that in general.. but I just don't expect it in a server while I'm celebrating an occasion. Plus don't work at a place that is somewhat pricier. Also, I don't think she was as familiar with the menu as she lead on. I asked questions and ordered things based on her answers.. and it turns out it wasn't as how she had made it seem. What a disappointment. My wife wanted to try this place instead of our go-to Bob's. No bread! What high end steak house doesn't give you bread??? They have 2 biscuits you can buy for $3.... How tacky is that when my bill is $200. Cheesesteak egg rolls tasted frozen and were puny. My wife got filet, and it was over cooked and puny. My shrimp pasta tasted like Campbells tomatoe soup broth. Only decent thing was mashed potatoes. Bob's is 1,000% better. Only redeeming quality was the atmosphere. Based on barely anyone there on Labor Day, I think the word is out that this is a sinking ship. read more

First time at this location and I'm sad to say that I wasn't all that impressed. It was very noisy and dark & not comfortable with all of the modern metal decor. The waitstaff was great! The drinks were okay but mine was so strong that I couldn't stomach to drink it. I ordered the 8oz filet mignon and it was dry and tough and not very seasoned well. The sides were delicious. Some of the biggest asparagus I've ever seen and the mashed potatoes were good. I may give it another try but definitely not anytime soon. Maybe try the ahi tuna next time. I can't imagine that wouldn't be delicious. Of course I'm the area, parking is difficult. Maybe worth the valet unless you want to park a block away in the garage. read more

The worst dining experience ever!!!! The waiter had to be on drugs. Forgot the utensils forgot the napkins! My son ordered a steak and mash potatoes and got mushrooms. My beef stroganoff was the worst ever. Noodles were so dry you could use them as a hammer. My son asked the waiter to refill his Diet Coke and he brought him back an ice tea. My grandson ordered an after dinner drink and 30 minutes later no drink. Had to go to the bar to get it. Air conditioner was right above us so we froze our butts off the whole time! Waiter's name was Gilbert. Beware! Went back the next day to talk to the manager who is J. C. And told him of my experience and he did nothing to make it right and blame it on Covid. My first ever review of a restaurant, for a reason. Hair cooked into my wife's salmon. Raw salmon when they recooked it (2nd try). They stole our bday balloons because they would "go to the ceiling." Dry wall falling into meals and drinks from the ceiling, so if we had lost the balloons it probably would have stopped us from eating and drinking asbestos or ceiling/dry wall. Place is a s show. We went here on a Friday night with a large group. We ended up with what seemed like a pretty green waitress. When my wife ordered a daiquiri (think Ernest Hemingway in Cuba), the waitress told my wife that they didn't have a blender at the bar. My wife explained that she wanted an old-school daiquiri. The waitress just nodded and asked what sort of vodka she wanted in it. SMH. My Manhattan arrived with no cherry in it, so I asked for one and they brought me 3 nuclear red Maraschino cherries instead of a Luxardo cherry that I'd expect in a nice place like this. On to dinner. I ordered the seared Asian tuna salad and she ordered the prime rib special. We asked for it rare and were told that it only came as medium rare. We said that was fine. The salad looked great when it arrived, but the prime rib was somewhere between medium and well done, that is, just barely pink. She ate a couple of bites and then called the waitress over to send it back and ask for a piece that was more towards the medium rare we were promised. A second order was brought out quickly that was closer to medium, but still not the medium rare we were promised. Rather than play that game all night, she just ate it. For dessert, we ordered their take on a coconut cream pie. It arrived and was a round piece of pie in a graham cracker crust about 5 inches in diameter and about an inch thick. On top of that was the largest scoop of whipped cream I have ever seen. It was somewhere between the size of a baseball and a softball. Then the whole think had white chocolate shavings over it. After we excavated under the heavy whipped cream, we tried the signature part of the dish. The coconut part was nice, but there just wasn't that much of it. We let a couple of other people at the table try it to confirm our impression and the overwhelming vote was to sent it back. Overall, this wasn't a strong showing for this place. I don't know if they had an off night or what, but beware fellow diners. read more

Unpleasant experience to say the least. I had a ribeye and it was not at all tender. My wife had a filet. The steaks were well cooked but fairly tough. The broccoli was undercooked and tasteless. It was not as good as Outback Steakhouse, in fact I can buy better steaks at Aldi Supermarket. To top it off the meal cost $112.00 with no add ons at all. read more

My co-worker and I went here for a lunch to get their lunch special and ultimately their desserts. Is it just me or do steakhouses just do desserts really well? We went inside and the vibe that I got was pretty dark and swanky. There was a large artwork of people in a box, which I thought was weird but I guess avant garde. My coworker and I sat in a booth and we made our selections: prime rib sandwich for her and fish tacos for me. I know, why get fish tacos at a steak place.. But it sounded good at the moment. The tacos looked small but ended up being a good size! Along with my meal came a side salad (or a soup if you prefer). My coworker enjoyed her sandwich and said she would get it again. We ended up getting our own desserts because they looked so so good. I got the Nutella bread pudding with coffee ice cream and my coworker got the salted caramel panna cotta. Both were super super delicious. The bread pudding was served warm, it wasn't too sweet, and the ice cream was such a great addition. The panna cotta was just as divine. I would love to get these desserts again and maybe lunch, haha. The service was pretty friendly. There is a bar inside the restaurant, which looks pretty cool for drinks.
