This was 8:33pm. He took the order. He rang it up. The drink existed on our bill but apparently not in this dimension. When we pointed this out, he held the line like an HOA president at an emergency meeting about fence height. This did not have stakes. I have never watched someone be so confidently wrong about something so profoundly stupid. A true masterclass in choosing your hill, dying on it, and somehow being proud of the whole thing.

The experience begins in a small glass-enclosed entryway where you're greeted before the hostess is notified by radio. Moments later, the glass door opens, revealing a beautifully designed speakeasy with an elegant yet inviting atmosphere. The space offers comfortably spaced bar seating, cozy booths, and tables, all surrounded by tasteful décor that perfectly captures the speakeasy era while incorporating subtle honeycomb-inspired touches. The spirit selection is impressive, and the appetizer menu is thoughtfully curated. Their specialty cocktails are creative, balanced, and beautifully presented. We sat at the bar, where our mixologist, Kalika B, was both personable and professional. I always enjoy sitting at the bar when the bartender is willing to share their craft, and Kalika did exactly that. She explained the story behind several of their custom cocktails, the history of some of their spirits, their signature custom ice program, and offered excellent appetizer recommendations. Her knowledge and enthusiasm made the experience even more enjoyable. The entire space was spotless and clearly designed with great attention to detail. It filled up quickly after opening, so I was glad we arrived when we did. Despite the growing crowd, there appeared to be plenty of staff, and the service remained attentive without ever making guests feel rushed. There is only one restroom, but during our visit it was never an issue, and there was no wait. I've been chasing speakeasies for more than 20 years, long before they became as popular as they are today. Whenever I travel, I make it a point to seek out a local speakeasy, so I've experienced quite a few over the years. Honeycomb ranks near the top of my list. It's the perfect size--not too small and not too large--with an outstanding selection of spirits, exceptional craft mocktails, knowledgeable mixologists who truly know their craft, and cocktails tailored to your palate. The atmosphere is elegant yet approachable, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality of the experience. The Honeycomb Speakeasy in Livermore is truly a destination-worthy cocktail experience. Here's what we tried: Cusco Comb (1000/10): Absolutely one of the best cocktails I've ever had. It was sweet, strong, and incredibly smooth without the alcohol being overpowering. I loved it so much that I immediately ordered a second one. I would honestly come back just for this drink alone. Honeycomb After Dark (9/10): Such a fun twist on an espresso martini! It reminded me of a Vietnamese coffee with a boozy kick. As the ice cream melted, the drink became even creamier and more delicious. Gin & Tonic (6/10): I'm not personally a gin and tonic fan, but my sister really enjoyed it. She thought the ratio of gin to tonic was spot on. Fries (6/10): Super crispy with a great texture, but they were a little too salty for my taste. The only downside is that there's only one bathroom, so keep that in mind if it's busy. If you're looking for a great spot to grab drinks in downtown, I highly recommend this speakeasy. I kind of expected the place to start clearing out after midnight but ppl stuck around and seemed to be having a good time. If you're not into rock n' roll/metal karaoke, they also have pool, shuffleboard, and darts. I do like the KJ and the patrons here, though in the future, I'll just set the expectation that I'll get one song in and set a curfew for myself.

Pretty inconvenient and inconsiderate considering there was a kids menu with crayons and there were other parents with diaper aged children. BTW kids menu was $20 which is insane.

The waitress will come to your table and you can order there OR you can also order at the bar. When I ordered at the bar, the waitress was so nice and helped me bring the drinks over to our table. I also had a taste of the fries, and the cups and guac and it was tasty too! There's some parking right infront or a parking lot behind the bar. I will definitely come back!

I was really craving some good Italian food and wanted to give Delarosa in San Ramon a try. We ordered the Calamari, Burrata Bruschetta, prosciutto di parma, and the pappardelle. Calamari- It was soggy and lacked flavor. The breading was pretty much falling off of the calamari rings and it was very oily. The dipping sauces were also mediocre and lacked flavor. The best part about the dish was the grilled lemon. Burrata Bruschetta- The most disappointing dish. The bread was burnt and it also lacked flavor. Additionally, for ten dollars, it was just not worth it. Prosciutto di Parma- This pizza was good! it could have been cooked a little bit longer because the bottom was doughy and soggy. But I would give this dish a second try especially if you're looking for that traditional prosciutto pizza. Pappardelle- This dish saved the day. The homemade al dente pasta hit the spot! The sauce was good and it complimented the pasta well! Service- Bad. Once we ordered, our table was not touched. We weren't asked how we were doing, offered any peppers/cheese, or even offered more water. Our server simply took our order, dropped off the food then left us. It also took forever for the check. Additionally, you could tell their team had some tension. No one was communicating with eachother and it seemed like everyone hated their lives there. No warm greeting whatsoever, and tension between the staff. I hope things get better for this place and that the owner takes these reviews seriously. read more

I went to Delarosa for lunch today and ordered the Margherita pizza. It was pretty good, though I think I still may be in a bit of sticker shock from the price of such a plain and average sized pizza. Anyway, the reason I'm giving this review five stars is because of the EXCELLENT service I received from my waitress, Siew. She helped me very quickly, answered all my questions about the menu with the patience, knowledge and proficiency of someone who has worked in the restaurant business for a long time, and she was, most importantly to me, super friendly! This was my first time at Delarosa and while I was not overly impressed by the food, I would go back just because Siew made my experience such an enjoyable one. After all, I go to restaurants not because I can't cook for myself, but because it's nice to be taken care of, and Siew went above and beyond even my expectations. She checked on me multiple times, made sure my beverage was topped off, asked me if the meal I had ordered was satisfactory and generally ensured that my experience was as perfect as she could make it. In short, I was greatly impressed by her professionalism, speed of service, and friendly, happy attitude. I know personally that waiting tables is hard work and I appreciated that she works as if it's all very easy and even her pleasure to be serving me. Thanks for the great experience! read more

I've been to Delarosa many times, and it's one of my go-to spots in the area. The location is convenient, with easy parking in the lot. The atmosphere is lively and fun--perfect for people-watching, with families, shoppers, and sometimes even live music in the summer adding to the vibe. Inside, it can get a little loud when the music's pumping, but the outdoor seating is a great alternative, especially on a calm day when the wind isn't too strong. Now, let's talk about the pizza--it's solid. Think thin crust with that perfect balance of crunch and chew, topped with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I'm a fan of the classic Margherita pizza; they really nail it. The service is also great--waitstaff are friendly, attentive, and quick to refill water without you even having to ask. I've also stopped by for happy hour (Monday-Friday, 3-5 pm), and it's a fantastic deal. I usually go for the hot salami pizzetta, Margherita pizzetta, and their roasted cauliflower to feel a little healthy--it's all consistently delicious. Unacceptable Service and a Broken Promise Last week, I placed an online order for two pizzas for delivery. After waiting for 50 minutes, I called the restaurant and was told the order was "waiting for Door Dash." I waited another 40 minutes, bringing the total to 90 minutes, before calling again. I received the same response. At that point, I decided to drive to the restaurant myself. By the time I arrived and waited for the pizzas to be located, it had been a full two hours since my initial order. The pizzas I received were cold. The manager on duty was apologetic and insisted that the pizzas were on the house, promising a full refund. I initially refused, but they insisted it was their policy due to the poor experience. I accepted their offer. Today, I was disappointed to see that I was charged for the full amount. While it's not about the money, it's about the principle of the matter. I was promised one thing and was delivered the opposite. The service was poor, and the follow-through was even worse. This is not how a business should treat its customers. read more

I was shocked to discover that this restaurant charges an additional 4% fee on top of the cost of a gift card for "employee benefits and taxes." A gift card is essentially prepaid credit, charging this fee at the time of purchase is already questionable, but what's worse is that the person using the gift card will also be charged the same 4% again when they redeem it, along with tax on the meal. This means the restaurant is double-dipping: once from the person buying the card and again from the person using it. It feels incredibly unfair and deceptive. If this fee is meant to support staff or cover operating costs, it should be clearly included in the menu pricing, not tacked onto gift cards, which are supposed to be a neutral form of payment. I support fair wages and benefits for employees, but this approach lacks transparency and penalizes customers twice. I won't be returning, and I can't in good conscience recommend this place to others. read more

I love coming to Delarosa!! The food is always what I expect, and my kids love it too. I never seem to have to wait too long for a table, since they can accommodate guests inside and outside and at their bar. Speaking of their bar, whenever I feel like drinking a cocktail with my meal or having a drink with my girlfriends, we love coming to the bar at Delarosa. Eddie has consistently been the bartender and server at the bar, and we have never been disappointed. Eddie is humble at what he does, but he's an artist!! He makes the best drinks and always has a smile, and I get happy to see him there. Eddie, thanks for the humor and thanks for the wonderful service!! *high five! Food is great. I would especially recommend the salami pizza. I haven't had thin sliced pizza in the bay for a while. We paid $80 in total for 2 with bunch of leftover for another meal. But I'm writing this review also because someone put absurd review below. Giving 1 star for Pre-select tip percentage and employee benefit fees? First, you can choose the tip percentage however you'd like, it's not mandatory. Second, I know some restaurants would keep food cost in a fixed range so they have to charge extra to keep up the service. Blame to your government but not to the restaurant. Did you ever see they do this when economy was not this bad? I'm glad to see that these reviews and the overall rating doesn't affect the business too much. Yelp is becoming so toxic these years and less informative. read more

Our experience at the restaurant started on a disappointing note when we arrived and felt completely overlooked, as several staff members walked past us without acknowledging our presence. After waiting for a while, we inquired about being seated and were met with surprise, as if it was unusual for customers to want to sit down. Once we were finally shown to our table, we expected prompt service, but unfortunately, we were left waiting for over five minutes without any attention from the staff. Frustrated, we chose to leave before we could even order. While I genuinely enjoy the food at this establishment, the lack of attention and service has left me feeling that the quality doesn't matter as much when the experience is so lacking. Arrived just before 5pm on Saturday and we were seated right away. We ordered the crispy brussel sprouts with caper aioli ($12); fennel sausage pizza ($17); and butternut squash ravioli ($18). We enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and although the food came out fast, it was just average. The brussel sprouts were somewhat crispy but didn't feel the aioli paired well with it. The pizza had a nice thin /crispy crust but both the sauce and sausage lacked flavor - the cheese however was fairly strong. The ravioli is debatable since this was our first time trying butternut squash - we don't have anything to compare it to but we were not blown away by it - still trying to decide if we liked it or not... We had a wonderful lunch at Delarosa. Our server, Siew T., was outstanding -- attentive, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure a great experience. The food was delicious and, as always, consistently high in quality. The only minor disappointment was that the panini cannot be modified. We requested no cheese but were informed that the menu policy does not allow modifications. What impressed us most, however, was that Siew still offered to double-check with the kitchen, despite the policy already being confirmed. Although I ultimately changed my order, I truly appreciated that extra effort and thoughtfulness. We came as a group of eight and were seated at the the last outdoor patio table- two extra chairs were added by the host. Everything started off great, and our server was kind and attentive. But right after the manager, Samantha Amoroso, brought out our Cokes, she suddenly started moving our chairs without saying a single word. No explanation, no courtesy -- just anger and attitude. We were shocked to realize she was the manager. If our seating wasn't allowed, it should've been handled politely by the host, not in such a rude and unprofessional way after we were already seated and comfortable with the heaters on. The manager, Samantha, clearly has no patience or respect for families with kids. We came in for a casual meal, and everything was fine until a chair was suddenly removed by her - no explanation, zero courtesy, just a cold and unpleasant attitude. The seating had already been done properly by the host, so there should be no reason to interfere in the middle of service. It was embarrassing and completely unnecessary. My friends and I had such a great time at Delarosa! Everything we tried was fantastic, starting with the bruschetta--it was so crisp and flavorful. The beet salad was fresh and delicious, and then came the pappardelle, which completely stole the show. Seriously, it was to die for--perfectly cooked and so rich and satisfying. We finished with the chocolate cake, which was just heavenly. The staff made the whole experience even better. The bartender, Eddie, was super attentive, and the manager, Jeff, was so kind, warm, and accommodating. He really went out of his way to make sure we had a wonderful evening!! I had dinner with my family today, and the dining experience was extremely poor. We waited a long time for our order, and finally, a Mexican waitress with glasses came over reluctantly. We had already hinted to her twice that we needed to order, but she pretended not to see us. In the end, we had to remind her again. The restaurant wasn't busy; there were only three tables in our area. Her tone was very impatient and even seemed discriminatory. I want to reiterate my point about the Mexican waitress with glasses. If the restaurant's service quality is this bad, it will lose a lot of customers. At least, I won't come back. read more

We were a group of 10 dining at this restaurant, and unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by a very disappointing response from the staff and the manager. One of our friends is on a specific diet due to health reasons and couldn't find any suitable options on the menu. She brought her own small meal, but the staff did not allow her to eat it at the table. It was an unfortunate and unprofessional response, especially considering the circumstances. I tried Delarosa for the first time last week and the food was really good. I appreciated their unique and authentic menu. The pizza and penne pasta I ordered, spicy, were both flavorful, and the meatballs were so good they didn't even need spaghetti.
