The entire staff treated us like family and put us in a high mood. Even had the food been simply okay, I would have liked the restaurant for the friendliness alone but I am pleased to report the food is fantastic! The garlic bread is buttery, well flavored, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The salad was a great starter with tasty dressing. My husband ordered the shrimp creole which he found to be fresh and flavorful. I had the eggplant rollatini which was delicious, especially the cheesy filling. A wonderful dining experience at very reasonable prices. We cannot wait to go back and take all our friends & family in the future!

Attentive, genuine, and made us feel truly taken care of from start to finish. The food was incredible--everything tasted like a home-cooked meal, full of flavor and clearly made with care. It's also just a really cozy spot. The ambiance, the music, and the energy from the team make it a place you want to keep coming back to. This has easily become a weekly visit for me.

I came here on a weekday with one of my girlfriends…read more For drinks we both had the Rainbow Sherbet. ($18 - Hangar 1 Mandarin Blossom Vodka, cold-pressed pineapple juice, fresh raspberry purée, lime juice fresh mint topper). I'm not a big drinker and am a fan of drinks that you can't really taste the alcohol and this was great. It was a fun to drink and was refreshing. For our entree my friend had the Fish & Chips. ($27 - Crispy haddock fillet, sea salt fries, tartar sauce, grilled lemon). I tried a piece of her fish and it was thinly battered, soft, and flavorful. I usually try to stay away from fried fish like this just because places use way too much better or the fish gets super oily but they was not the case with their fish & chips. You can tell they use quality ingredients. I had the 4 piece Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice. ($34 - Fresh ahi, dynamite sauce, wasabi tobiko, togarashi, toasted sesame). Oh my goodness was this delicious. This is usually something you'd eat as an appetizer but eating it alone is a meal in itself. Yes, it's pricey BUT it is totally worth it. Saint & Second is an upscale dining experience. Their food delivers to that level as well. I highly recommend if you're looking for a new date night spot or something intimate with friends. You can really taste the freshness of all the ingredients they use.

However, in my two most recent visits, only the atmosphere has remained a highlight -- the service has declined significantly. My most recent visit was two nights ago, on Father's Day, for a celebratory dinner. Our server was curt and unwelcoming throughout the meal. When my glass of wine arrived, the server suggested I taste it first -- which I did -- and it was immediately apparent that the wine had turned. Having ordered the same wine many times before without issue, I was confident this particular bottle was off. When I asked our server if the bartender could open a fresh bottle, she agreed without hesitation. However, moments later, a gentleman I assumed to be the manager approached and informed me that a new bottle would not be opened, as the current one had only been opened the day before and was, in his opinion, fine. His only alternative was to offer the same varietal at a higher price point. I understand that restaurants may have policies regarding open bottles, but in all my years of dining out, I have never encountered an establishment that refused to replace a glass of wine a guest found unacceptable -- especially when the server herself had encouraged me to taste it for that very reason. This experience left a lasting negative impression, and unfortunately I will neither return nor recommend this restaurant going forward.

The live band and background singers were amazing as well. There is plenty of street parking available. There's a chef providing food (I believe it rotates every week but I'm not sure). When I was there they had offerings like fries and wings. The garlic parm fries I tried were tasty and I wanted more. The bar was simple but the bartenders worked pretty fast. We ordered drinks 3 at a time so we wouldn't have to get up again and they were very efficient. I tried their margarita which was decent and not overly sweet. Don't worry I'm not a raging alcoholic, it was more so out of respect for the performer. They discourage walking around during the performances so everyone can see and enjoy no matter w The space itself is nice offering you indoor and outdoor space. The delicate hanging lights and plants are a nice touch, and the colorful lighting toward the stage area was very vibey. They also had hookah available, I'm not sure the cost. There's also a small digital Photo Booth at the entrance. The performances were great and so was the crowd. I'd love to come back another time and try more of the food and hear more live music. I loved it. This event has now moved to Andaz in West Hollywood

Both times we've been seated pretty quickly. At this location I've tried the spicy fried cauliflower and it was sooo good! On a separate occasion I brought my sister who was visiting from out of state. We ordered some sushi, the gyoza and the steak with the fried mashed potatoes and she wouldn't stop talking about how much she loved the food! The only thing I don't love is that they use egg white in the margaritas and if you don't read the ingredients you'll be wondering why your glass smells like egg. Apparently they do this for the foam ‍ Told my sister this and she ordered a strawberry margarita (not on the menu) and still ended up with egg whites in her drink lol so now I make sure to ask at restaurants around the area. The food is great though and so is the service. Both their indoor and outdoor areas are very nice.

Unfortunately, the shrimp were a huge disappointment. They looked and tasted like small frozen bagged shrimp from the grocery store rather than fresh, quality shrimp you'd expect from a restaurant. Joey's, what's going on here? This dish deserves real large or jumbo shrimp that are seasoned, grilled, and then added to the pasta. The quality of the shrimp completely took away from what would have been an outstanding meal. Upgrade the shrimp, and this dish would easily be one of the best on your menu.

I looked over the menu ahead of time and was set on what I wanted but it was unfortunately an old menu and the item I wanted wasn't available anymore. Some kind of shrimp scampi pizza which sounded amazing! Hope they bring it back someday since our waitress Crystal said it was very good. I ended up getting just a margherita pizza for myself which I ended up being too full to eat because we filled up on the appetizers: spinach and artichoke dip and burrata which were both fantastic. The others got the hot chicken sandwich and french dip which they also really enjoyed. After we finished eating, it did take a while for the staff to come back around and get us boxes and the check. We also asked for more of the chocolate sticks they give you at the end but the lady who we asked just looked at an empty tin and said they were out which we were sure they had more for other guests somewhere. Overall still a great spot and would love to come back and try their other menu items. Definitely a rare find inside this department! IG: @ammysalamii

She literally threw the receipt across the table, turned her back, and walked off without saying a word. Left us sitting there with a shocked look and dirty dishes. It's been around for over 20 years and is currently in a newer space than it was before; featuring more parking and a larger space. Ambiance: The interior has a relaxed feel with beachy surfer themed decor. It has a clean modern feel with a bunch of tables featuring accent colored chairs. There is music in the background and a TV on the wall featuring surfing videos. Service: You order at the counter, they ring you up and you get the food brought out. You can see the kitchen as it's open. It was my first time and it was a simple and easy experience. Everything came out in a timely fashion. Food: Some of their specialities include the 20+variations of fried empanadas (meats, chicken, pork, veggie, dessert) that come in both savory and sweet types, as well as their speciality plates such as their Korean-style flat iron steak skewers and chicken satay. The sauces they serve with their empanadas are incredible and some of the best I've ever had such as their chimmi-churri, basil-aioli and sweet & sour Thai. I recently did the lunch combo featuring a choice of a 1/2 salad or 1/2 fries, choice of any two empanadas and a canned drink. I chose beef and Kailua pig empanadas; both were great, empanadas didn't break apart and were crispy, everything was seasoned well; the filling of the beef was a bit more than the Kailua pig however. Drinks: They have various drinks such as lemonade, juices, sodas/soft drinks, and some beers on tap. Parking: The lot is large and has ample parking depending on the day and time. Prices: Prices are to the times that we're in...so not too great. Ala carte empanadas are $5+ but as you order more (4, 12) the prices come down a slight bit.

Paris, our server, was an absolute ray of sunshine. We decided to share a variety of dishes, which turned out to be the perfect way to experience the menu. I don't eat meat, but my fellow diners could not stop talking about the Braised Short Rib Rolled Lasagna. The Lemon Gnocchi was light and delicate, the beet salad was fresh and beautifully balanced, and the Crispy Squash Blossoms stuffed with ratatouille were absolutely delicious. The Cold Hamachi Aguachile was probably the most interesting dish of the night. It's almost like a fish snow cone, which sounds odd until you try it. My mom would call it "moreish" because every bite makes you want another. The Jumbo Prawns à la Plancha were also excellent. But the standout for me was the Eggplant Parmesan. It was completely over the top in the best possible way. If you told me to come back and order nothing but the eggplant and a martini, I'd happily call that dinner. What really stood out beyond the food was the pacing. Dishes arrived at just the right rhythm, the cocktails were excellent, and the playlist somehow added to the atmosphere without competing with the conversation. I took photos of everything, which should tell you how beautiful the food was, but the best part was simply having a genuinely fun evening with friends. Great food, great service, and a restaurant I'll absolutely be back to.
