I can only review their initial customer service, as after initial contact they never got back in touch with me. I submitted a request for a quote through Costco, which was routed through Della Maggiore Stone. One month after my submission to Costco to get a quote I was finally contacted by Della Maggiore. The representative that called me provided me an email address to send over my measurements and I was told that a quote would be ready in 2 days. I immediately sent over my kitchen details and have not heard back since (more than 3 weeks). I have attempted to contact the representative, the company directly, and even Costco, yet no contact by phone or email to date from Della Maggiore. read more

My husband and I were remodeling and trying to decide what to do with our counter tops. At first we thought about tile but after thinking about the grout lines etc decided to start looking into granite. We checked out Lowes thinking it would be a good deal but the quote was slightly higher than what we had hoped for. After doing some research on Yelp we came across Della Maggiore Stone. We called Steve and within a few days we had the project moving in a good direction. Every interaction that we had with Steve and other members of the staff were exceptional. We got prefabricated granite cause that was what we could afford and the bid was $1000.00 less than what we had been quoted at Lowes. The whole process was seamless. We loved the result. The men that came out to install the granite did so very professionally and had the kitchen looking as it was left just a lot nicer with the granite installed. The only con that we experienced was the cutting for the faucet was slightly off which my husband noticed. His comment regarding that was they had taken such care and precision with all of the other cuts why did they seem to rush this cut? We called Steve and a few days later he returned the call stating that someone could come back out and see to fix it but we decided to leave it since the sink and the faucet had already been installed. We had a very good experience and the quality was top notch. 2 bathrooms. Hall bath the counter is 10 feet long and DM did it in 1 piece! Everyone who sees it, expresses surprise / compliments / comments on how did they were able to do it one piece.... from finding it, cutting it to installing it. The Master was done with the remainder piece and it is only 5 ft in length. It looks great, too. Has a different edge.... very nice. They were quick, clean, good quality and nice. read more

my experience with them was far from perfect. at best it was a 2.5 or low 3 but.... Steve must have taken pity on me when I was wandering around their lot, overwhelmed by what the hell to do and deafened by all their machinery. I told him what I wanted as best as I could because quite frankly I didn't know what the hell I wanted. He was polite and patient and straightforward. All good. What transpired afterward sucked monkey butt. The slab was promised within a week. It didn't come until 2 - 3 weeks later after repeated phone calls to them. When it did arrive, it came still bright and glossy when i had paid for it be sanded down. What can I say, I'm not a raccoon, I don't like bright shiny objects. A week later, I get it back but now there's a crack in it. Argh! I called Steve and he said he'd send out a dude to fix the crack or at least make it less noticeable. Crack couldn't be fixed and actually looked worse with repair. Again, I called Steve. I felt bad for the guy because it wasn't his fault but he was the front man and so he took my little girl complex with grace and professionalism. He fixed the situation with a little diplomacy. I believe the true test of a company is how they weather storms. Although it wasn't a smooth transaction, Steve stood behind his word and stepped up. I appreciate that and will be referring friends (If I had any) and family (if I liked any). read more

This company will waste your stone and your money. They did not do the template at our home as most other professional people would do. They Cut our expensive granite without showing proper template. It wasted my expensive stone. I had to buy additional slab because of their mistake. It resulted into a seam which could have been easily avoided if they had done a proper template. The seam also was not as good as could have been. They could have done much better making seam very invisible. One of the workers will try to convince that the horrible book match he does is actually the right way. On top of these they are very expensive for gross mistakes like these. If you love your stone and your house, take your project and money somewhere else. read more

You'll start your experience with Steve, he does sales, bidding, etc. He can help answer all your questions around granite, what and how much you'll need, how the whole process works. He is a fabulous person. He is the front man for this company, that's what I think anyway, and Steve is why I've used Della Maggiore for all my granite needs. I've done my kitchen, living room fireplace and large mantel, 10' window, both bathrooms with a full granite shower in the master and more in my home all with this company. I have recommended them to my family and friends a dozen times over and they have never been disappointed. They make it so semless and easy to get you what you want. Price wise, very reasonable, to give you an example I got two bids for my first job, the kitchen, their bid was $2400 under the other bid and even more important than that, I felt really comfortable with Steve and knew he would do a great job for us. I never got any other bids, no reason. I keep bringing folks to see Steve and no one has been disappointed. We received exceptional service from Della Maggiore Stone throughout the whole process; from when we first walked in to enquire on the process as we were buying granite for the first time; to when it was installed. Both Steve (in the showroom) and Darryl (who came to measure for the templates) were both very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, and Josh and his crew that came to install the granite were prompt, polite and professional, and I was very impressed with how clean they left my kitchen. When we contacted Steve after choosing the granite, Darryl showed up the very next day to make the templates, and then the granite was installed 3 days later. Maybe it was just a quiet time of the year but I was very impressed with how quick they were able to do everything without compromising on the quality. I shopped price and company and although Della Maggiore was the same price as other companies the job they did was truly worth even more. If I could give 10 stars I would. Della Maggiore stone just installed my limestone fireplace today. Della Maggiore was my middle bid (one higher and one lower). I chose them because I had seen the work they did on a neighbor's fireplace, and it was beautiful. Then, although money was a constraint for me, I decided to go with them as I began to experience their excellent service and understand the process they use to fabricate and install the stone. Here are some specifics: First, Steve Jones, who was my point of contact is incredible! Throughout the whole process, he was extremely patient and supportive, understanding my insecurities about the design (which I changed twice), my taking forever to find the stone I wanted, and other things of that nature. He was also sympathetic to my financial constraints and did the best he could on the price. Besides all of that, he is cool and fun to work with. Second, in contrast to the company with the lower bid, which would not do anything without a substantial deposit, Della Maggiore sent their dedicated person who takes the measurements, Darryl, to my house four times--all on spec! The first time to measure so that they could give me a rough quote, the second time to measure and give me another quote after I had a structure for the mantle box built, the third time to re-inspect the structure because I had some concerns about whether it was sound, and the fourth time after I made yet another change to the design. Third, Della Maggiore uses a whole different process than other companies in the fabrication and installation. The other company that gave me a lower bid had me take the measurements (wanted a deposit before they would send their own person), and said that they do all of the fabrication and joining of the stone pieces in their shop and install the final product. In contrast, Della Maggiore cuts each piece to a slightly-larger size than is needed and brings them unassembled. Then they do the fine-grained sizing and and assembly on site. This insures a perfect fit. They put the mitered edges together and then file and polish them so that you can't even see that there are two pieces of stone joined together--it just looks like a solid slab. Steve hand-picked Luis and his crew to do the installation because of all the mitered edges involved in my project, and the job they did is absolutely perfect. In summary, no praise that I can give Della Maggiore is high enough! Definitely use them if you're doing anything with stone! This is a long over due review. We had them do our granite counter tops, island and window sills back in 2011. Steve helped us with all of the details. Everything went in without a hitch. Steve is a granite guru. We used Della Maggiore for our bathroom remodels in SF and couldn't be happier with their work. We shopped around a few places in the city, but Steve was by far the most responsive and reliable. Prices are comparable to SF prices and the quality exceeded our expectations. Frankly, remodeling is NOT fun and I would rather deal with reasonable and smart people, versus those with 'tude, and this is why Steve and Della Maggiore got our business. Finally, after we completed our project, we needed an odd shaped piece of granite to fill in a piece our contractor didn't tile. Steve was willing to cut out the shape for free from some of our scrap - BUT not only did he cut one piece, he made three "just in case," and gave us tips on how to adhere the piece to the wall. I've never written a review for anything before, but I had to say something good somewhere about Della Maggiore. I had a very small kitchen remodel/addition that any other company would have turned up their nose about doing, but Steve at Della Maggiore not only took an incredible amount of time helping me select a granite slab, but he saved us some SERIOUS money by using remnant pieces, etc. We were kind of on the fence about doing the project, but Della Maggiore was so awesome and made the process so easy that we felt like there was no other time to do it. I can't recommend these guys enough. Home remodels can be a nightmare, but working with Steve at Della Maggiore has made the whole process kind of fun. read more

We had a tight deadline due to other home improvement and Della Maggiore happily met our schedule. Wow. Talk about impressive. Anone who has dealt with any kind of contractor type situation knows that it is hit or miss and as reliable as the owner running the show. To be honest and no offensfe to the contractor/ construction world but it is actually very difficult to find quality product combined with quality work combined with follow through and affordability. Well Della Magiore Stone is it and thats probably why they have been in biz for so long. I got a vanity top done for my upstairs bathroom. It had to be semi custom but nothing crazy. I called around and got some quotes. Once I contacted DM stone I got a very warm feeling over the phone and decided to let them come out and check out my situation and do a free estimate. Bill was the name of the estimator who showed up. What a Pro. Quick, effiecient, no BS. He showed up on time, smiled, went straight to the point and gave me a great price. The work was done within the week and now my bathroom looks like a brand new one instead of the rag tag condition it was in. DM stone will get my tile work for life as I was so pleased from a customer service stand point I would be a fool to take my business else where. read more
