Denny's in its hey day was the place to go but through the years it has dwindled down to just another teenage,old person dump. I too was one of those teenagers who hung out with "their crew" and drank coffee and ate fries all hours of the wee night. Its gone through ups and downs and still hasn't recovered, BUT its cheap and the coffee is still decent. Anyone from surrounding areas know that Denny's was the place to hang on a friday night or saturday with their favorite waitress, who by the way is still there,barely. Its not a diner per se but an iconic geographic landmark,lol. Its where you go to catch up with old and new friends.The food there is not 5 star and neither is the service but its a place to hang out after 9pm when everything else is closed in this dismal town. It's the place you go after you get out of the bar and try to sober up. Went here with the family this evening expecting the usual reasonably priced fare that we're accustomed to. Instead waited for 30 minutes, was not even seated, was treated to irate customers not receiving their food after 45 minutes, employees being yelled at by management and the smell of piss in the air. Place needs to be shut down unless they can turn this place around immediately as this appears to have been going on since 2016 and has gotten progressively worse. It appears the employees are being abused by management and the demise is well underway. Stay away at all costs! read more

Been here a number of times for my pancake-bacon-eggs fix. Quick, hospitable, consistent. Weekends get crowded, so it's sometimes a 5 min wait to be seated. Coffee's not bad but always wish they had some choices in that department. Have tried a couple of the breakfast skillets as well, and they've been filling (and a little greasy). The convenience/ proximity will ensure we pop in once in a while. read more

24 hours diner restaurant that serves up plenty of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. I ordered the nachos, chicken fried steak skillet, and the unsweetened ice tea. The nachos were surprisingly tasty and the chicken fried steak was decent. Had better but also definitely had worse. The entire menu is reasonably priced. The staff was friendly enough but service was slow even when the restaurant was not busy at all. Will be back for a good value but no frills meal. read more

I've been wanting to come here for a while and we finally came here after being bored of the diners in the area. We came here on a weekday and it was empty, so we got seated immediately. Hubs had the 55 Fit Fare Loaded Veggie Omelette, which was egg white omelette with spinach, mushroom, sautéed zucchini and squash, diced tomatoes and Swiss cheese. It also came along with fruit and English muffin. He was shocked because it was much better than he expected. He thought his order was better than the average diner that it's improved a lot since he went to Denny's when he was growing up. Daughter ordered the Country Fried Steak and Eggs Skillet which was 2 eggs with red skinned potatoes, red bell peppers, onions, and shredded Cheddar cheese served on a skillet. She ordered her eggs over easy. The potatoes were probably red skinned but it was fried and served on the skillet. She thought her order was delicious! Finally, I ordered Cranberry Orange Pancake Breakfast which was 2 pancakes with cranberry pancakes cooked inside and topped with orange cream cheese icing. It came along with 2 eggs (over easy), hash browns and bacon or sausage (I ordered bacon well done). Everything in my order was pretty good but the cream cheese icing was so so because it had coconut flakes in it. I'm not a fan of coconuts and wished they stated that on their menu. Service was friendly and quick. I am surprised that this place wasn't bad and will probably return to try other items on the menu in the future. read more

The servers are great but the management and the food was horrible , i expected the new opening would change the place but the food is just as worse as it was before , everytime i come here the food is either not cooked or burnt and it comes out ice cold , the chicken tastes like rubber, ive heard stories that all of the food is cooked in plastic bags, dont eat here , the management is horrible to deal with too , they are rude and you can hear the lady yelling at the servers when its not their fault the food is garbage read more

Second time around picking up a to go order that's never ready on time, they start making it once you get there. This time around the lady preparing my order took a nice big juicy cough over my food. IHOP is right next door, Denny's needs to step it up and also require employees to look and act more presentable too hygiene wise. read more

Busy Sunday morning, they lost our name on the waiting list doubling our wait time, no sodas since machines was broken. Our waiter was apologetic and did a good job. Food was fine, typical diner fare, but I felt it was a little pricey for what we ordered. read more

In the end, what was originally a quiet dinner with my family was turned into a farce. Our server, Jennifer, was unable to get even the simplest order right. We were brought cold coffee, and when we brought up the issue, we were brought another cold cup of coffee. Only later was this resolved. Afterwards, with the meal itself, one order was completely wrong, with the wrong omelette brought to us. When we mentioned this, we were met with annoyance from the server, after which she conceded that she was wrong. Similarly, one other order was missing the bread, and other foods were lukewarm. For dessert, two slices of pie were ordered, and one came with a broken crust. In the end, a hefty charge for horrid service made us decide. Never come back here again! read more

I've never been to a Denny's before so when I finally went to this one I liked it so much that I mentioned it to my friends. They were shocked to hear that I liked the food because they claimed "Denny's sucks!" The waitress was a sweet older woman and she did her job well. Even my boyfriend agreed that the food was great, so should this count as a double rating? :P Anyways, the small sized nachos were a good appetizer to share as a quick snack before getting sandwiches for lunch and then topping it all off with a dessert. This location has REALLY gone down hill over the past several months.!!! I don't know what changed with the service and condition of the rest rooms but improvement is DEFINENTLY NEEDED. This use to be my favorite breakfast spot on the weekend. Also loved using my AARP card for the discount. Its not worth the discount now. I had stopped going as often due to the change in the pancake batter anyway. Its horrible with no taste and has an airy feel about it. Not substance to it at all like you are eating air or something diet/low calorie. Corporate really should go back to the old recipe/batter. Also doing a way with the good old fashion AMERICA dessert ( apple pie) was nuts. They have another apple dish but nothing beats a pie with crust! My husband and I went here every Sat or Sunday but now I go to Colonial diner or Edison Diner on Rt 1. At least there I actully get a nice amount of slices of bacon with my order compared to the skimpy 2 that comes with most of Denny's meals. Denny's is only 7 minutes from me but I will travel down to RT 1 to go to Edison diner any day now. read more

Went fairly recently with my friend from work. Explosive diarrhea. While i was in the middle of eating my horrible food.

My family and I were greeted by Shane. He sat us down said our server will be right with us. No one came over for 40 minutes. We see Shane talking to customers but complete neglecting us and about 3 other tables.Eventually Shane came back took our order another guy brought it out and no one ever came back to see how the food was. The food was horrid. The coffe was just ghastly tasted like dish water. It made McDonald's look 5 star. The service was awful didn't get any utensils n napkins till after the food came out. Went on a Sunday evening. Not very busy. We were brought to our table quickly, but the floor, especially around our table was filthy. There were things on the floor that had obviously been stepped on and were left ground in to the rug. Filthiest restaurant I've ever been in. Me and my family were just at Denny's and we are very disappointed in the service provided if there was any service. The waiter did not once refilled my drink nor ask if I wanted a refill or if we were ok, my food was cold and my son asked for a refill on his mango lemonade once the cold food was served, he finished his meal and asked again and still did not get it in timely fashion we decided to leave and when walking to the register I see this "waiter" mixing my son's drink with a spoon that was too short for the cup and put his fingers in his drink... we used to love this place and now it's a disgrace going there. read more

Place was empty and I found out why. The coffee was terrible, the food was cooked badly and cold. Could not help but notice that I was served eggs that had the smallest egg yolks I had ever seen. Well would NOT Recommend this place. Service was terrible. Waited to long, waitress kept forgetting about thing for our table. PAYED EXTRA FOR MORE cheese STILL COULD NOT SEE IT ON MY PLATE!!!!! They really don't try too hard considering the countless great diners in the immediate area. I usually end up here when it isn't my choice and I've gotten hair in my food more than once and that's the only time when I'll get hounded by the wait staff, constantly asking if I'd like it made again or something else. Personally, I lose my appetite immediately after the first hair. This is clearly an issue with the kitchen but this has been an ongoing issue for years. I stopped coming here willingly years ago when they brought my father a cup of coffee and right before he made the mistake of sipping it, I noticed the lipstick ALL over the side. Then noticed a straw wrapped in my cup. They actually filled dirty cups for us. Again, that experience was years ago, but the most recent time someone dragged me here, I noticed they handed me dirty silverware and I chose not to bother ordering. read more
