We had not been to Denny's since pre-covid, so decided to go there for breakfast today. BBiiiGGG mistake. Our meals were the Cheese Eggs w/pancakes & bacon, and Eggs Benedict with extra biscuit & sausage gravy. The sausage gravy was effectively white gravy with a few pieces of sausage thrown in. Blah! I've had much better at motels that just dump it out of a jug. The menu said crisp hash browns, but they were cooked on two sides with raw potatoes in the middle. No attempt was made to cook the inside shredded potatoes. The eggs benedict were the highlight of my meal. They were perfectly prepared with a delicious Hollidaise sauce. The cheese eggs were good, too, but Denny's dropped the ball on everything else. Wimpy bacon and two cold pancakes that wouldn't melt butter. I've seen lots of bad reviews for this place, but our family of 10 came in and was seated quickly and was given great service from our waitress. One in our group had low blood sugar and she made sure he got his orange juice immediately. We all very much enjoyed our breakfast foods. Maybe the bad reviews are more for entrees people order that aren't from the breakfast menu. All I can say is that we had a great time and we would come back. If I want to take this review process seriously, then I have to be honest and say that in the past I haven't had the best experience at this Denny's. But this time is different. I was actually going to IHOP and they were not open so I decided to give Denny's another chance. I was extremely surprised from the second I walked in the door at how nice and welcoming the staff was even though I was the only one eating in the entire restaurant. What I would normally think would be a burden, was actually a very pleasant experience. My waitress named Cindy was so hilarious and awesome to talk to. They sat me down and I ordered my food which was amazing. I had the berry pancakes breakfast which came with fruit on my pancakes which I love. And they also gave me a fairly large portions of eggs and hashbrowns. It was very tasty. But what made it a great experience wasn't necessarily that the food was great even though it was. What really made it a great experience was my waitress Cindy. She took care of me the whole time and make sure I had everything I needed. I highly recommend going and giving this Dennis another shot in spite of its poor rating on yelp. So every time I've gone to Denny's whether it was morning, night, midday, I've always had a problem. My sister and I are brunch/ breakfast enthusiasts. There are limited number of places that have late night or evening brunch. Since I opted out from going to IHOP, we went to Denny's. I asked before ordering a drink, and asked if the kids drink was included or not. The waitress tells me she is pretty sure it is included, but it wasn't. But it wasn't a big deal. I think what got me was how my pancake didn't look burnt, but it tasted burnt. I mean I acknowledge it was a darker color, but I wasn't going to make a complaint to the server. I would like to bring a group Saturday and we need a place to talk away from the crowd - "corporate won't let us reserve meeting room on weekends" we wouldn't need the whole room... "sorry, but we could seat you here or there..." Let me get this straight, you have a group of paying customers who just want to sit away from others so they can talk and "corporate" won't let you use this huge space in the back? What? When I think of Denny's, I think of basic, no frills eating. This Denny's proved me wrong. We visited at lunch time but wanted breakfast foods so that is why we choose Denny's. This Denny's looked new. The interior was bright and clean. We had to wait to be seated because they were understaffed as schools were closed and they were very busy. Though it took a little long, our food was served hot and fresh. Our eggs were cooked correctly as was the generous portion of hash browns. Ordering hash browns is always a gamble as they often can be overly soft and greasy. These were perfectly cooked: a crispy brown top with a slightly soft and not greasy potatoes underneath, My pumpkin pancakes were very good though they served it with a side of pumpkin in a small dish but it was no better then straight pumpkin pie filling. Despite being understaffed, our server, who was having a bad day, brushed it off and was very cheerful and pleasant. I wish every server was like her. We were impressed that the manager was helping out by pouring coffee and that staff seemed to take a team work approach to handle the business. If we lived closer, we'd defiantly return. read more

The sweet tea wasn't sweet and it was extremely dry. The guy with me had to get his own syrup for his pancakes. There was no marinara sauce for the cheese sticks, and when we asked for the sauce they brought us cold spaghetti sauce. The lady with me ordered a Philly cheesesteak omelet and she only got 5 small pieces of meat in it. The chocolate milk was horrible. And although the food was horrible the waitress was amazing and their customer service was amazing. Only few people eating in the restaurant. Greeted by hostess who was very nice. She seated us and got our drink order. The waitress was a little slow coming in but it looked like she was working the kitchen as well. The waitress came after about 5 minutes and she was very nice and attentive. The food was delicious. I had the banana chocolate hazelnut crepe with eggs, bacon and hash browns. My son had the mini pancakes, sausage and bacon. My husband ended up getting pancakes, eggs, bacon and t bone steak. My food was delicious. There was an employee at the counter on his phone, who didn't acknowledge me initially. I politely got his attention, told him my name and that I was picking up a to go order. He seemed very confused and disoriented, but eventually called to the back and let someone else know that I was picking up an order. After explaining the same thing to her, and repeating my name at least three times. She simply told me I could come behind the counter and grab it. I found that a little odd, because she never left the kitchen. After grabbing it and reviewing my order. I found that one of the items I ordered was missing. Walked in with a skip in my step glad to try the "Choconana"(chocolate chip pancake with bananas on top) and sure my mood did dampen a little bit when I looked around and saw that most of the tables had used plates with leftover food on them and there were very few that were actually clean but that's not the reason that I rated it 1 star, the reason I rated it 1 star is because of the whole experience. The "Choconana" wasn't even that good(kinda sour tasting) and my friend who was with me said that her food tasted like garbage too. Our eggs weren't even cooked like we asked and the hash browns were either burnt or barely cooked.
