In addition to being very conveniently located, I really liked my breakfast and the service was very friendly. I had the 55 loaded veggie omelet with red potatoes and wheat toast (dry with butter on the side).It was yummy and just the right amount. I would have given 5 stars but my husband wasn't as happy. He had one of the other 55 omelets with fruit and an English muffin. He (we) loved the fresh fruit but his muffin was stale. (He should have sent it back for a new one but...) Another plus was the fresh pot of decaf coffee our server made for me. So if you're headed up the 5 from LA, it's a good breakfast stop. read more

We stopped here on our drive down to San Diego and this is seriously the BEST experience I have ever had with a diner chain. The woman who helped us was so kind. Another table had gone to find someone that worked there as there was no one on the floor so they could settle their bill. The food here is better than other Denny's we've been to. We stop here at least once a month. Veronica L has our waitress the last couple of times. She is outstanding. She was the only waitress at noon today (10/21/19). Mngr. and chef cooking and one bus person. She had to clean up after some pigs who let their kids spill drinks and toss food on the floor. About 1230 another waiter came on but was more interested in people paying their bills. Bottom line is Veronica is probably one of the best waitresses I've seen. I left a 35% tip. Well...we were pleasantly surprised at this Denny's. Denny's isn't usually a place we stopped. We were heading to Iron Skillet on our road trip because my husband wanted pancakes. But, iron Skillet had such bad reviews, we decided to pull into Denny's. This is not your "what you heard about" Denny's. It's very clean and spacious...bathrooms too. The greeter was very kind and attentive. Our server, Alexis, was also quick and friendly. Our food was delicious actually. I had blueberry pancakes...when did Denny's start doing specialty pancakes, crepes, etc. My fried eggs (over medium) were cooked perfectly. My bacon, though thin, was cooked perfect as well. This negative review is dedicated to the manager who was apparently working in the kitchen this morning. I went to this Denny's on a Sunday morning around 9:45 a.m. Anyway, as you can tell from the picture, the food that was delivered was nothing like what was in the menu. I mentioned to the server the missing vegetables/peppers and the pathetic portion size of the chicken compared to what was in the menu and she said, "My manager is the one cooking today, and he does everything by the book". Well, I'd like to know what book he's reading because it should be the same book that is used to tell the customers what to expect when they order (menu). I realize no served dishes are going to be as beautiful as the menu, but give me a break. The menu clearly shows that you get a breast of chicken and various vegetables and what he served was basically a half a potato and a half of a very scrawny chicken breast and literally four tiny pieces of sausage. Pathetic. My waitress was lovely by the way. If the manager is reading this, I will gladly consider admending my review if you can apologize or admit to your greed/sloppiness. read more

Worst experience I've ever had at a Denny's. Was heading home from Sequoia, tired and hungry. I had ordered the garlic butter steak with Brussel sprouts and broccoli. The steak came out with no seasoning, the Brussel sprouts were burnt and the broccoli was over boiled. The server brought out A1 sauce only to see that it was an empty bottle. My family of 4 visited this Dennys. Due to Covid the menu has been shortened but still had some good choices. My husband wanted to try the "New" parmesan chicken dinner, they were out of the parmesan sauce for this meal. So he decided to get the 10oz steak dinner. They were out of the 10oz steak. He settled for the 6oz steak dinner that was offered. He ordered it medium well an received it Rare. I ordered the chicken fried steak dinner with ALL gravy on the side. Plate showed up with gravy and whatever was leftover of the mashed potatoes for the night. My son ordered the lumberjack slam. The sausages were not cooked thoroughly, pink on the inside. My daughter ordered the Build your own grand slam. Her 3 items were: scrambled eggs, hash browns, turkey bacon. Additional items: pancakes, hashbrowns. They didn't bring ANY of her side items until after I spoke with the waitress which said I never ordered it. My kids were really hungry so they still ate their food, me an my husband gave food back an asked to have it removed from our bill. It was really quiet in the dining area so we were able to hear ALL of the cooks and waitresses conversations about us as well as their personal conversations that they were having while using profanity and unprofessional "slang". Louis M was our server this AM and he was indeed, "As good as it gets!" We frequent Denny's for breakfast, and my poached eggs on dry wheat toast were very good as usual. However, we have never had the speed and consistent attention we received from Louis M. The bacon had to be very crisp, no ice in the water and the toast was without butter. Covid 19 has taken a lot out of everyone. This particular Dennys needs to retrain staff. We were not greeted in a timely manner when we entered. 4 different staffers made eye contact with us more than once. It wasnt until I started flapping my arms like is anyone going to help us that someone came over. Trying to seat a party of 4 seemed too much for them...they took us one way around cashier stand...then reversed us to the other side....and again we spun. Sat down...keep in mind there were only 4 tables of customers...and it was awhile before anyone came to table. Waters all around. Simple enough. Orders were simple enough...burger with fries, philly cheesesteak, chicken tender meal, Mediterranean chicken meal...both with mashed potatoes as side. I ordered side salad and we got an order of onion rings as appetizer. Salad came. Onion rings came after salad and after we got our meals. Mashed potato sides were like could try potatoes. Waitress stated she got confused and we could keep the country potatoes. She brought sides of mashed potatoes right away. But wait....it isnt over yet.....upon paying with a $50 and a $20 dollar bill, cashier gives us change for $60 not $70. That's the only meal we had here, but I guess the more costly meals might not be so great but if you like salads you won't be disappointed .
