I have been going to this Dennys for over 20 years. Through these 20 years I have had some good customer service here. Today I witnessed something amazing, as my son and I were seated, the manager Brittany took our drink order. When she came back with our drinks she took our food order. Now, when I say it seems like five minutes past, she came back with all of our order. I was amazed how fast it happened because my food has never came out that fast. While eating our meal, I watched Jody and Anthony who were the cooks in the kitchen. I have never seen such good communication between two cooks, vibes, and just outstanding teamwork!!!! Now to the front of the house. Brittney and Dan were flying around, communicating as well with each other, getting the hot food out to the customer's and at the same time taking care of the front. I really enjoyed my night of dining with my son. Thanks Dennys team we will be back for sure and are hoping that we get the same crew. Denny's on Power rd in front of the Superstition Springs Mall in Mesa is by far the best Denny's in the valley. Just walked out of a poorly managed Denny's. My daughter and I were looking forward to a nice breakfast. So we walked into a full lobby. We are next in line to talk to the hostess. We are black, everyone else white. Hostess walks away and seats a guest. Another group of white folks comes in to request a table. We get over looked and she helps the white guests. Even though we had been there waiting. I told my daughter that we are leaving. Not wanting to cause a scene. It's a shame in the year 2021. Denny's is still doing the same crap they were doing back in the 90's. I guess we will not give them our business any more; and hope to spread the word. Avoid this place if you are an ethnicity of color. It is really disheartening to have to be treated in such a manner. But you have to keep moving forward. They brought out black chicken tenders and I noticed right away they didn't look right. They then brought out a second round of burnt tenders this time with an unidentified black chunk of asphalt looking thing yuck. I sent back again and notified them the fryer is probably dirty if the oil is black and black chunks are in there. The hostess was nice, said the manager knows it's dirty but simply does not care and that they have over 5 complaints about the dirty fryer. Seems like the manager is MIA and spends time in the parking lot instead of managing. Too bad I didn't snap a pic, would be too gross to post on yelp. +1 star cause the coffee was good and waitress nice. read more

I've had dinner, lunch, dates, prom meals, after concert drunk meals, high munchies meals, breakfasts, birthdays, solo meals, a couple shitty waitresses, but overall this place is a piece of history to me and I love it. Had dinner at this Dennys tonight. Brittney was our server and she was amazing! we had a fairly complex order and she did not write down a thing and everything was completely accurate. The food was good and she was extremely pleasant and attentive. They seem to be understaffed but you never would've known it by the service we got from her. After a winning evening at the casino, we stopped in for some quick nutrition. There wasn't much open after 11:00 pm so it seem quick and easy. On arrival, we were greeted and seated by Jason H. He did a fantastic job taking our order and giving us plenty of options on our meals. I found Jason to be very people orientated. Not just with us but with the others customers as they arrived. Food was the place was clean, staff was friendly, food was good. I had the Grand Slam plate and my wife had the T-bone with three choices of sides. Ummm... I called to place an order and was put on hold for over 10 minutes, so then I just walked over and ordered inside. It took 30 minutes to get my order which ended up being about 10 fries with the cheeseburger, the chicken tenders were over cooked, the buffalo wings had no celery with it and they didn't send the ranch I asked for. I've been to a ton of Denny's around the Valley and for years and years this has consistently been the best one. The staff is always usually pretty good, things are right. Food is good and hot, not often a wait plus there is the counter if you don't want to be seated. I particularly am a huge fan of the biscuits and gravy not because it's the best biscuits and gravy on earth but because it's consistent and always tastes the way I expect it to taste. read more

If I could do less than one star I would. I went to this Dennys for breakfast today, it was absolutely horrible. It was not that crowded, but we still had to wait over 40 mins for our food. When we finally got the food, everything was cold. The pancakes tasted like they made them last week and reheated them. Worst for call-in orders. I do blame my husband for not checking the order. They never get it right. I asked for two sunny sides up eggs, crispy bacon, and hash browns. What I got was two eggs with soggy bacon with a damn pancake in a plastic dish thrown on top. My eggs looked disgusting! First just wanted to.give us hash browns. Than if we brought back entire order. He would than remake.screw you! I fed the eggs to my pigs.We will never order there again. This happens one to many times . I've never complained.
