Update: I called Denny's to inform them of our food poisoning. Manager seemed to be more concerned with wether or not we were going to file a law suit. I said no and that I called so they would be more careful with the handling and preparation of their food. A few days later, someone called me from corporate. Again, concerned about law suit. When I said no I was not interested in perusing a case, she offered me a Denny's gift card. Lol a few weeks later, I received a $30 gift card. That's $15 for my husband's pain and suffering and $15 for my daughter. Not that we would ever eat there again but what an insult. Thanks Denny's. read more

It's Dennys people. I got the grilled chicken with brown rice and broccoli, a small side salad and water. Ate every bit of it. Was good. When I entered I was immediately greated and seated to my table of one. Had water to drink and was often asked if I wanted a refill. Was asked if I needed anything else several times and was not forgotten about even though I thought I would have being sat in the rear corner. I found the staff to be very friendly and very catering. Found what appears to be a clump of dirt stuck to the cheese on the outer edge of my sandwich. At first i thought it might have been some roast beef, but the consistency of what I found was much too fine grained. It looks like some dirt was tracked in on someone's shoes, my food was dropped onto it, and it was put right back on my plate. read more

This Denny's has been around for years. I stopped in with a friend for a quick cup of coffee. We ended up having early midnight breakfast, lol ... Coffee and pie was decent. It was busy even at this time of night. Free wifi is a perk. Servers were friendly and there was plenty of parking. Bathrooms were surprisingly clean and I most likely would come back again for some coffee and pie when I need to have a quick meeting on the go when im near by. Today at 8/23/17 my party of four attempted to eat here. We waited over 20 minutes and did not even get served coffee. The worst thing is that this place was empty. Denny's food is Denny's food. We went here to use the wifi since our internet was down and my Fantasy Football draft was about to start. The service here was amazing. We asked for a booth in the back so I can concertrate on the all important draft. Got it. They made sure we had everything we needed and got our food quickly. The only downside was the wifi has a time limit. I had to log off the laptop and restart to get back on. So one of my picks had to be down on my IPhone. read more

This is the only Denny's I frequent. It is close to both my home, and to my place of business. The restaurant is very clean inside, and outside. The service is outstanding. All the waiters, waitresses, and the managers know my name, and know what I like to order. The food is always served quickly, and my order is always accurate. The taste is very good. My iced tea, and coffee get refilled continuously. I recommend either the $8 slugger breakfast, or the $8 fish and chips. Denny's Montebello must be the best restaurant in their chain. This Denny's had the worst service I have ever experienced in my life. When our waiter came to ask us for a drink and we asked for water, he looked at us with an attitude and looked really annoyed at us. After we ordered and got our food, we practically never saw any waiter to come check up on us or to refill our water, even when we went up there and asked multiple times. We asked for a waiter to get dessert, but no one ever came, which is surprising because a big group was seated behind us, and I never saw a waiter come to them either. I got so fed up for having to ask so many times to try to order dessert or get a refill just to be ignored. I walked up to go pay, which took a long time because I had to wait for a manager, who was nowhere to be found until they walked in. Food was okay, but my chicken noodle soup wasn't that warm. If you want to have a good meal and a good service you be better off at another restaurant....even a fast food....it took too long for my order to be served I had a loaded potatoes skillet and an order of wheat toast, between my skillet and my toast there was a 15 minutes delay....can you imagine so to begin my toast was burned, my skillet was very poor, almost all potatoes and for some reason just a few pieces of chicken....it's like it went missing, they even seated me at the end corner and I guess they forgot to service my coffee.....What's more to say -Not coming back, I left a tip because of courtesy!!!! read more

Always a busy place, but well attended. Yes the restroom can get dirty depending on the time of day with the rush hour of people, but then again people could be cleaner and NOT make a mess in the restroom. Food is great and service is great. read more

Horrible service!!! We got seated but no one led us to our seats. They just basically watched us stand at the front for 15mins without telling us that they "seated" us at a table. When asked when we're going to be seated she said we seated you there and pointed at a table. Didn't even lead us there. To add to this, it took another 15-25mins to get our food when there was barely any people. I understand it can be hectic and sometimes orders can take a bit longer but there was barely any people. I'm sorry but I don't know why I always end up going back to Denny's after a year of avoiding it because the food is straight nasty to my tastebuds.. well I ended up coming here last night cause everything that's dine in was closed except for IHOP which I sooo regret not going to! Well I ordered a skillet with red skin potatoes and it was flavorless with some nasty chicken just thinking about it makes me wanna throw up. Anyhow, I ended up not eating it , I did not complain because it's all my fault! I've been knowing that their food is nasty and I still went back thinking maybe they changed their products/ meats they use but I guess not! And I also didn't complain because the workers were kind and nice to me and I didn't want to ruin the positive energy, I just walked out with a smile and later took it out on myself. Horrible! First off we were waiting forever to be seated! They took three parties before me when I was there before. And she was calling another party and my mom told her we have been waiting and she keeps calling people that came after us and she just says ok and points to a seat for us to go sit at. She didn't even take us to the table. Then it took forever for our order to be taken and even longer for the food to come. When we get the food there is a black hair on my plate and the meal looked sloppy not even appetizing. She took it back to have it re done and when I get it back and bite into my pot roast sandwich there is a white hair! (Which I didn't get a picture of) at that point I was disgusted and didn't want anything anymore. My moms burger was also super dry with old cheese. The mozzarella sticks were nasty and soggy too. We came to eat here after my brothers football camp before I have to go into work, and it was a waste of time because now I have to go home and get ready for work without having anything to eat because I'm out of time now. I did bring it to the managers attention about the hairs and he was nice to remove my meal, take 20% off and he was going to give me a discount card for my next visit. was on the phone when someone came and cleared my plate with food still on it without even asking. he then proceeded to wipe food scraps on the table into that plate before I realized and told him that i wasnt done. he then gave the dirty plate of food back to me. he then told my 5 yr old to stop making a mess. i was upset and told my waiter. he had an accusatory attitude and asked me why i didn't stop him and asked whether i wanted another plate of food. i told him no but that i was upset and was just informing him. nothing done. told cashier that the food was cleared without being asked. didnt waste my time with the details. they gave me a 10% discount. obviously no tip. we were the only asians in the restaurant. not sure if that had anything to do with it but the staff was just generally rude. read more

came here a little over a week ago with 4 friends afterwork around 8 to 9 am and could not have been more disappointed with the service we recieved to start off our server adrianna failed to acknowledge us she introduced herself and said give me one minute and did not return for 15 minutes to take our order I assume we werent priority to her after waiting amd our order was taken I had asked if we can hold onto one of the menus in case we decided to want something more and she said no and took all the menus which seemed extremely rude and I ignored it due to me conversing and trying to enjoy an breakfast with my friends who I hve not seen in a while. I then walked to the restroom and saw what I assumed was our meals and sure enough were the exact plates brought to our table 20 minutes later like really didnt care for servicing us at all most our food arrived all at once except for one of my friends who waited an extra 14 minutes for his and the rest of us were finishing and to add to the problem when our food had initially arrived all the food we were brought was cold due to sitting on the table for the 20 minutes as soon as put meals were brought literally one maybe 2 bites into my steak she had already brought us our check said ill be back in a few minutes to collect the check and moved on to other tables and completely ignored us didnt check on our table for 15 minutes to bring our last friends meal and asked if she we had payed our check which thefriend friend who had received his meal last ordered another soda which didnt arrive til we were completely finished and on our way out worst service ever and I have never written a bad review but the way we were serviced could not go unnoticed I definitely could not visit again if I did she would never be my waitress I felt wronged and she gave us a horrible scowl for not leaving a tip but with that kind of service I could never reward someone for treating us like ppl af the bottom of the gutter and we work in the service industry and could not see how shes still employed read more
