This morning my girlfriend and I went there for breakfast. Not only was the food delicious, but the server was outstanding. Her name was Gabriela and she made sure the coffee was topped off and the food was served in a timely manner. On top of that, she was cheerful and happy to help. Last night my wife, sister in law and I went into this restaurant to eat and were very surprised to see how clean this restaurant was. We have visited Denny's in the past and believe me truly didn't want to return after seeing how dirty they were. Our server Bill was very friendly and helpful with suggesting certain items. And our meal was very tasty. We noticed that not only was Bill the cashier and server but he was also the reason the restaurant experience was pleasant because he was taking time out of his cleaning and stocking duties to also talk with us and make us laugh from stuff he was saying that we like. I just walked over 3 miles from Ontario airport to get here and finally arrived at 10:45pm. So far it is nice and quiet, yet steady with customers. I was greeted immediately and also accommodated with my bags to a booth. The waitress who seated me was super sweet and instantly returned with my drink. A few moments later another waitress refilled my drink, as I was extremely thirsty, and took my order. It's been 6 mins and I now have received my whole order which was a house salad with ranch ($2.79) and an egg sandwich with hashbrowns and bacon/ham ($4.00). Extremely pleased. My girlfriend Sam and I decided to go to Denny's for a late night dinner. You know, Denny's has always been known for their great breakfasts. Rarely do we get dinner's that would be comparable to a steak house or specialty house. Tonight, we decided to get their Sirloin Steak dinner. It comes with two sides of your choice. Presentation is first clue. Looking at the menu, the steak looks perfect; seasoning and all. Everyone knows NOTHING EVER looks like the picture, right? To our dismay, the plate came out looking just like the picture. It presented itself appearing juicy, hot and mouth watering. Now the real tests... Expecting it to be tough, old tasting simply because Denny's isn't known to be a steak house, we're expecting a steak that could get us sick because who knows how long it's been sitting in storage, right?.... like a Ramsey Kitchen Nightmare. Well, the knife test showed us how tender this steak was. It was so tender, we could have used a butter knife to cut it. First Bite: Sam and I looked at each other like, "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!" The steak was hot, full of flavor. Perfectly seasoned to the point where A1 steak sauce would ruin this steak. This rich 1 inch thick steak pounded such a party in our mouth, we almost forgot to watch out for the typical grit that comes with steak. Oh Wait!! THERE IS NO GRIT. This was a prime piece of steak where the grit was removed. This whole piece of steak was completely gone with nothing left over. The sides we chose were mashed potatoes with gravy and broccoli. The potatoes were fresh; not the powder or artificial stuff. The broccoli was perfectly steamed. All in all, we both agreed that this steak (and we can't believe we're going to say this) totally beats the steaks at The OutBack Steak House for half the cost. She was always ready to pour more coffee. Food was served hot. And the little things she was on top of them. The food was good. And Denny's always have the best prices. Giving it a 2 star due to the fact that our server Yoshio was not very attentive nor very informative. He seemed way more interested in talking with his co workers. When we asked for soup he never brought it to us so when we were all done with our food we told him that we no longer wanted the soup and he answered "oh I didn't bring it because we ran out." In my opinion he should have told us that in the beginning. My husband had asked for more coffee which he gladly went to so so but again he took a long time and it was not busy at all. Ha! I never thought I'd write a review for Denny's but here we are. I was inspired to write this because of their menu actually. Who doesn't love the Grand Slam? It's a ton of food for about $6.00. Only an evil communist, anarchist, antichrist would hate that. But for annoying health-conscious freaks like myself, their "Fit Fare" options are amazing. I got whole wheat pancakes, egg whites, chicken sausage patties and turkey bacon instead of the regular, artery clogging stuff. And it was still the same price as the regular Grand Slam. I liked the pancakes, the bacon, the egg whites but the chicken sausage was just okay. It had a weird livery taste to it. But hey, I ate them anyway. Not too bad when you wash it down with O.J. and average coffee. Now I can say I actually look forward to road trip breakfasts. read more

Horrible service. After 15 minutes of waiting for coffee refill, honey & hot sauce I had to get up and get it myself. While all the servers were just standing around, staring at customers and drinking coffee. Service has gone down in the last 2 years since they've changed management. My parents used to come every Sunday and after my Dad passed away we come on special occasions in his memory because it was is favorite spot. Kudos to the Vineyard Ave, Ontario CA team working on Thanksgiving Day! Our online orders for a full Thanksgiving dinner at another local business were canceled last minute without notice (along with a crowd of other disappointed guests). I phoned my local Denny's and Batabing bataboom they had 6 full turkey dinners ready for me to take to my rather elderly relatives in about 20 minutes. And I mean full yummy dinners: turkey, stuffing, potatoes, broccoli, rolls and cranberry sauce. Fabulous price too. Next year we'll be visiting or ordering from this restaurant. read more

Came for my nephew's graduation, ordered a build-your-own burger with a vegetable patty; a reasonable thing to do as, like, a vegetarian. The table gets their food a little less than an hour after opening, and mine comes out with a hamburger patty. Whatever, mistakes happen. So I send it back, and I receive.... a hastily microwaved veggie patty with a cold piece of cheese on top. On the same burger, that had a meat patty on it minutes before. Opting not to eat the gastronomic equivalent of cold smegma, I send it back to like, you know, get a burger with melted cheese on it. They stuck it in the microwave long enough to melt the cheese. Bravo. Mistakes happen, but sending back the same burger with a swapped patty is itself unacceptable in this case; sending it back with cold cheese and then again after half a minute in the microwave is an insult. I chose to just take the burger rather than have it remade with a heap of spit, but I really, well and truly do not understand how the kitchen responded to their own mistake like this. Absolutely obscene. What the hell do you do when it's a mistake made on a food allergy? I don't blame the servers or even necessarily the kitchen staff here, this frankly strikes me as a severe failure on the part of management to teach their staff proper food handling. Do your job before they feed some poor person peanuts. read more

Visited this Denny's location and I am very unsatisfied myself and 3 other friends ordered at 8:45p and didn't get our food until 9:20p the waitress Alondra was very polite and helpful but she was the only one attending to 6 tables. Went to this location yesterday and it gets two stars for the typical, greasy Dennys food, especially since my burger was decent, but the low review is for the waitress and the dirty produce. Our waitress seemed a bit stressed, so she kind of fluttered around and only came to us sporadically. When we did get her, she kind of seemed annoyed by any request we made. Now, the dirty produce is for the lettuce on my burger (was dirty, wilted, and old). I asked for more and got slightly better quality, but with dirt caked on it. My son's grapes were not washed well since I noticed a layer of dirt mixed in the water once he was done eating them. GROSS! Please wash your food better! read more

Horrible experience! I went with my family for a late dinner and it was bad from the start. When we got inside the restaurant there was no employee in sight and it was not very busy. Finally an employee wearing a plastic apron came out from the kitchen and told us can sit anywhere pointing to the right side of the restaurant. We sat there waiting for about 20 minutes without any type of service. A waitress came out from the kitchen a couple of times not even glancing up once to acknowledge us and other customers that were seated in her area. We decided to leave and ate elsewhere. We at that point said we are going to leave. We asked for a manager & for a business card. That took another 5 minutes. The business card we received from Seba Mackey after 5 minutes must have been from his wallet since it had coffee stains, a phone number scratched off on the back & bent.
