Paul and I stopped here in route to Orlando for a weekend getaway for a girlfriend's special birthday party. We are now in Palm Bay at a Denny's having lunch. We were welcomed with open arms. You couldn't ask for a friendly a bunch of people. I just had a very light salad with some salmon then Paul had a turkey sandwich with seasoned fries. We look for entrées that were low-calorie. They need more help, as I heard out server had fallen and she hurt her back and it was just her. Ifn you're hurting, one can imagine you are not giving 100% as can be. The restaurant had the A/C full when it was 56 out. It also seemed dark. Cooks prepped food pretty well. Just get them some extra servers to lighten load. read more

I went went in for breakfast with my elderly mother on January 27th and it was so cold inside we were shivering and other customers had their coats and hats on and complaining about the temperature. I looked at the thermostat when we passed as the wai was taking us to the table and it read 54*! I told the waitress it was only 54 in here and she looked back at me and just shrugged. As we were sitting we were shivering so bad we had to leave before she even took our drink order, many other customers were also complaining to us and others about how cold it was. If this is how the owner wants to save money by not turning on the heat then I hope they go out of business like all the others in the area! Convenient for late night eats. Always slow service so be prepared to wait. They are usually understaffed. The older woman is really friendly & tries her best, she's a sweetheart. Food was basically as expected. Service was poor. The server was a kind woman, but she didn't keep the coffee cups full & she didn't even bring the flatware when we were seated. The ambience is in the photos - not good! My toast was cold when served, so I requested new, hot toast. It took way too long to bring the replacement cold pieces. Why seat people at booths with water on them & then tell them of the water, especially with other open booths? Management &/or ownership needs to get their act together to do the easy fixes. Denny's located on Palm Bay Road, has an amazing staff. They work hard even during Covid times. Kris, Kathy & Darlene are really great at what they do. Kathy greats everyone with a smile plus a cute giggle from time to time. We have been waited on by both Kris & Darlene. Kris loves to get to know her customers needs & remember their order when they return. Sometimes tells stories. I love that their staff are comfortable with their customers. Darlene has become our favorite waitress. She has been with the company many, many years. It is a joy to us when we come & she already knows what we like & has a cute smile to greet us. Back when I was a nighshift worker at Rockwell Collins, I used to eat a lot at Denny's. It was one of the few restaurants (along with Steak n' Shake and Waffle House). I however preferred Denny's since their menu was more well-rounded. Years since then, Denny's is still a good place to eat though the location I am talking about doesn't stand out or fall behind any other Denny's location in general. Located just south of Palm Bay Rd. just in front of Aldi's, Denny's has that traditional diner look when it transitioned from the 80s to the 90s. Presently, the place is a little bit on the dilapidated side but still operational. I guess that is what decades of wear and tear will do to place. The staff are friendly but you can tell they are somewhat tired. They are the kind of people who've been waiting tables the entirety of their lives. Nothing wrong with that, but you can just "tell." Still, doesn't take away from the delicousness of the food and the service they provide. I personally like ordering from the special menu in which everything on the menu is either $2, $4, $6, or $8. I definitely like the biscuits and gravy breakfast (though the world hates it). Overall, a good experience for Denny's. Right now, I am in love with their flavored pancakes. I ate their dulce de leche and salted caramel with bananas pancakes. My friend ate the cinnamon bun pancakes when we ate out. Definitely worth the money for a two-stack. read more

The chicken salad and my breakfast sandwich was smashing! I got it to-go and it was a good experience would definitely recommend this location as they have taken Covid precautions inside. I've already stopped trying to eat there. The service & wait time was always bad. Didn't matter if the restaurant was full or only had 2 tables occupied. First I was served undercooked raw hashbrowns I politely sent them back and requested they be reheated and hot The manager took no responsibility for what had happened and told me that I should've specified how done I wanted the hash browns. As I was walking in I could clearly see trash in the parking lot and all along their landscaping. how dirty The floor in the entry way was really dirty and sticky. The entry way also had a bad smell and the doors were sticky and dirty too. So right away I was thinking I had made a mistake by bringing my family here. Service was ok. They were not busy so there was one waitress and what I assume was the manager. It was very warm so it seemed like it took awhile for our food to be presented to us. Looking around you could see how dirty the wall fixtures and the lights hanging above our booth were. Kinda gross if you think about something falling into your food. Our food was ok. You know exactly what every menu item is, and it is always made the same way. So if you have an issue with this Dennys, maybe you just don't like Dennys in general. Just had a delicious breakfast at this Denny's. Victor, our waiter, was amazing - pleasant and efficient. He seemed to sail from table to table with ease, accommodating all requests. He had an impressive way of glancing at each table as he passed and recognizing where something might be needed. The only negative was the fact that I had to wait both to be seated and to pay while a staff member was taking a phone-in order. In person guests should take precedence. read more

Absolute worst service. Ordered a burger. Mentioned no cheese. No bacon. Burger came with cheese. OK people make mistakes I get that. But the server said i did not tell her. Lie #1. I was told that the food would be remade. 3 minutes later I got a new burger. Well a) it does not take 3 minutes to make a 6 ounce burger; and b) bits of cheese were found, meaning they just scraped it off and thought I'd be stupid and not notice. Lie #2. The restaurant I went to for dinner was absolutely an abomination however earlier in the day I went to Denny's for my birthday breakfast. They had changed the rules (that came from corporate) however I wasn't aware of it. Can I say how wonderful these people were! Greta helped me get it straightened out so I could get my code although she had already rang me up however the manager made it work. Victoria was leaving for the day but had to finish her tables so I was visiting with her - what a wonderfully nice person. Even though they had some really super rude customers who were being awful to them, they were still nice and a team. I think that's the one thing that stuck out the most to me; they had each other's back. Denny's is Denny's no matter where you go but it's the people that make it good or bad. And they made this place great. I do stop occasionally it a Denny's (other than for a free breakfast on my birthday) and I'll make it a point to stop at this one in particular. I've been eating at Denny's for many many years. They are open late, food is OK and price is acceptable for what you get. But lately, at the Denny's off Palm Bay Rd., something has changed. Maybe new management or maybe Denny's corporate sent out a memo about the need to change, I don't know but This place is great!!!! Servers are super nice almost borderline too nice, it's like being in a movie where you stop in a town of killers but they are way too nice for you to think of them as killers till you find your friend's head out back. Anyways, food seems to be getting better and better every time I come here... I love it. This may be a chain restaurant but I would put them up against any mom and pop local place. I always order the same food as well so I can really appreciate the changes that have made. I get the country fried steak dinner and the biscuits & gravy dinner, eggs over medium. No knife needed to cut anything, fork is all you need. My server today was Kristina B. She is Uh-May-Zing! Warning... not all Denny's are created equal. OMG. Went there for thanksgiving. I will say it was the last place we picked because we could not get in anywhere else without an hour wait. 20 minutes after sitting down we got our order in. 45 minutes later we got food. The people next to us got their food. Her fish was cold and his fries were cold. He looks at me and says "arnt you glad you came". Our food finally came. I got the turkey dinner. My stuffing was cold and in place of my corn was squash. And no roll. Got that fixed. But ended up with a slice of bread instead of roll. Husbands steak was well done instead of medium rare. And no red cubes potatoes. When those finally came it was a red potato cut into cubes and thrown into the oil for the French fries. Seriously!!!! The kitchen staff cost the waitress their tips. We didn't mind the forty minute wait until watching them put our food straight into the microwave. Super great. Watch out because the plates will be super hot but your food is gonna be lukewarm and still cold in the middle. Also make sure to check out the menu that says desserts on the side because that's where they hide the value menu. On a business trip stopped for lunch here and everyone was so nice and I received great service! Kathy was my welcoming committee and my hostess, happy little lady. I like Denny's a lot even though I'm not a big breakfast person. Before our long ride across the state, we stopped at this Denny's for breakfast. The restaurant was neat and clean and we were seated immediately. They lost a star because we waited at least 15 minutes before we even got a cup of coffee. I know you're busy, but drop off a coffee and let us know you'll be back in a bit. When our waitress finally stopped by, we put in our full order, not taking a chance on waiting forever again. She turned out to be great, and we had a good time with her. My breakfast of over medium eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast was perfect, not a single complaint about the food. This location has renewed by opinion of Denny's. The Melbourne location (now closed) was much busier but had discontinued Military Discounts; however they continued AARP. I boycotted them after that as AARP, unless also military, didn't sacrifice for their country. Here the food was good, came out very fast & the server was pleasant. They could not contribute other customers left overs for my service dogs doggie bag but that would have been over & beyond routine customer service.
