I don't know what happened to this place?!? It used to be great; now it's habitually understaffed, and the portions and quality have diminished with the staffing. We've literally gotten up and left, twice in recent months, because the two waiters, seemingly overhwhelmed by the burden of having to service 2-3 tables each, couldn't find the time to even greet us, let alone bring menus, take our drink orders, etc. It's too bad, really. Denny's is a strong brand. I don't know if it's bad management, staffing, or overall lack of motivation, but this location is certainly not doing the Denny's brand any favors. read more

We ordered a Grandslamwich and a Berry Vanilla Crepe breakfast with coffee and tea during the Father's Day morning breakfast rush. Our server, Tiffany C, was not only professional and welcoming but thoughtful and attentive. She made sure our order was correct, everything properly made as we had requested, and ensured we had refills frequently. The food was excellent quality and prices were beyond fair especially for the value and quality. We didn't have to wait long for a table and all the staff was especially polite and professional. I'm a little late with this review because it's for Veteran's Day weekend, Sunday, but I must say that we had surprisingly excellent service and great food, in spite of it being insanely busy in there that day. Our server's name was Andres, and he kept us topped off with coffee and hustled around that crowded diner like nobody's business! Also, the food was excellent: had the veggie omelet and a side of French toast with strawberries on top -- oh man was it delicious! I've eaten at various Denny's locations over the years. They have made a remarkable improvement and recovered very well from their previous bad reputation from many years ago. As we often do, my partner, another friend and I had late night dinner at Denny's earlier this week. Jessica was our Server and SHE IS AWESOME! Denny's free Grand Slam campaign Tuesday on Feb 3rd 2009, I was in Palm Springs,CA. This is one and only Denny's at PS, Yay~. I took my mom who also loves freebie. We arrived there around 9:15 AM. Wait is only 10 minutes. ONLY 10 mins!! While waiting outside, the manager gave us the sample and coupons which available in any Denny's by March. Yay~. All staffs are nice and helpful. Called in my order tonight as I needed some reasonably priced fuel, what I got was a sad excuse for a club sandwich. $12 for essentially a flat version of Subway. Shame on the manager for allowing such poor quality standards, and shame on Denny's for charging that much for such a minimal amount of food. And lastly, since DENNYS DOES NOT POST PRICES ON THEIR WEBSITE, mas annoyance with the waitress who took my order without telling me seasoned fries were extra. On the way to our Fall Doubles sectionals tennis tournament, we stopped by Denny's for lunch since we had not eaten all day. I got something from the $2, $4, $6, $8 menu and it was pretty good for $6! I got the burger and fries and it was juicy and a good size hamburger. I think they were slightly skimpy on the french fries, but I didn't complain because I don't need to be eating a lot of french fries. My buddies got the Steak and Eggs and they seemed to enjoy their meals. The service was friendly and efficient. First off they did not have any children's menus, no cranberry juice, and they offer fit n lean menu but no alternative butter so my english muffin was very dry not to mention the fact that is was a bit on the over cooked side. Dennys is a must when my parents go to Palm Springs. A few in the area have closed down in recent years so we ended up here for breakfast/lunch. We walked in and were immediately seated and given menus. Our server was very efficient and took our food and drink orders together at the same time. Our orders came out shortly after and everything was good. My eggs were perfectly scrambled, crispy bacon, and super fresh french toast right off the griddle. Boyfriend liked his omelette, hashbrowns, and coffee. And my parents enjoyed their superbird sandwiches and french fries. Overall, we had a pleasant experience. The staff is kind and patient. This location is clean (yes, even clean restrooms) and definitely gives you that old school diner vibe.
