My dry stuck together seasoned fries
    Rosemary M.

Well I always go to Dennys food is normally very good . But on this occasion a lot of downfalls . My season fries where dry and way over cooked. My fault for not asking to redo . My daughter steak was over cooked and her mashed potatoes where COLD . I tasted them to see they where and they where . Good taste though . The young gentleman who helped us polite , but nothing Was done to have my fries redone . After I told him about them. I think he was a little overwhelmed . But he stayed polite . Personally probably wouldn't go back to this location . But thank you for the great hamburger restaurant was nice and clean.

Stopped in for a bite from a long trip. I liked the building as it had the old-timey yet modern vibe that matched the surrounding area. We ordered the House Cob Chicken salad, the Double Cheeseburger with seasoned fries, Chocolate Pancakes and the Steak dinner. I didn't sample the Steak dinner but the Cob and 'Burger meals were good. Washed my order down with some Rasberry Tea. For somewhere to take a break and grab a bite, consider coming here.

Unreal. Utterly amazing how good this location is. This is a special dennys, franchise owned, not corporate. Legit best pancakes of my entire life. Service was awesome. Can't recommend this place enough. DENNYS! Who would've known???

Friendly service, clean dining area and delicious diner food! Had the Lumberjack Slam with well-done hashbrowns and everything came out perfectly. Coffee tasted good, pancakes were fluffy and the staff was efficient and kind. Plenty of parking. I'll be back!

Could it be that the Denny's in San Diego compared to Palm Springs, are much more friendlier and engaging with their customers .... Last night's experience at Denny's on Palm Canyon drive takes the crown for the most unfriendliest staff during non-busy hour. Upon entry last night (12/18/24, 930pm), we were acknowledged with, "sit wherever you want to sit." (calm monotone voice). Staff that said this was also the same person that semi-served us during our late meal last night. Lots of booths-by-windows to choose from. Definitely happy to see that. After all, there were only two tables occupied and a third, with us. My partner ordered a steak and broccoli dish (no bueno, just basic). I, on the other hand, ordered breakfast. I love my buttermilk pan cakes at Denny's. This is actually the one BIG reason why I go to Denny's over IHOP, Carrows, Cocos and Marie Calendars- pancakes! And, last night the pancakes were on point... thick, fluffy, soft, and delicious. Scrambled eggs were on the skimpy side. The bacon strips weren't crispy, as I had requested "cooked and crunchy." Instead, the bacon strips were on the tough side like beef jerky. Food was either good or I was just plain hungry. Nonetheless my dish was consumed with no other issues. Honestly, Denny's actually save the day for us because all the other restaurants on the strip were closed for the day. Now, for our server ... she took our order, served our drinks and meals. Ok good. Short and not so sweet, but basic. She definitively had zero pleasantries and attentiveness, which I think is key to good customer service in restaurant business. And, if she was having a bad day, she could have asked a co-worker to help her out (there was one present and then another came out later). If that wasn't going to work, then maybe she could have just faked being friendly. She was nowhere to be found in the restaurant. She didn't communicate to us. My guess, she was on a break. Note that our server was not rude or mean, she was just on the border of sucky customer service. Will I return to Denny's on Palm Canyon? Maybe ...maybe not ....if there's no other choice for restaurant options at 930pm, then maybe

The food was really good, the park. You were nice, it was a nice place to find it. They had lots of specials, punk and big Hans salon. Very nice, Denny's in Palm Springs. The waitress was really nice and patient. Right. The bathroom is really nice

Zero stars if I could. This is a review of food I ordered from Bennigan's On the Fly through Door Dash. Denny's serves as a ghost kitchen for Bennigan's and they are responsible for what goes out. I have fond memories of eating Bennigan's Monte Cristos growing up and what I received isn't even close. Cut before frying, burnt, didn't look battered. Gross!

Denny's locations are always hit or miss, we were lucky, this spot was a hit. Service was nice and fast, food was fresh. It was clean, bright and not too crowded. I have a feeling that we gonna considering coming to Palm Springs more often :):):) this was a nice breakfast/lunch break

Their food is fresh, plentiful when it comes to serving size and ingredients (see the attached photo of the sandwich I got) and their service is prompt and attentive. The restaurant itself is on the second floor. It has a full bar on one side and many different boost and tables on the other so I can host many different sized groups. For this visit, I started off with a Triple Berry Tart and really enjoyed it. Imagine a pop tart that's not quite as sweet but a little more cakey and that is it. It was a real nice treat for the meal. I followed up with Sky's the Limit, which is basically one of their larger breakfasts and a mix of everything. I would highly recommend. The question is: How long will the community be able to pay their menu prices to keep the doors open? We understand the profit margins for a restaurant are very slim. $40 meatloaf & beer. Pre tax and tip. Delicious. Very good service. BINGO was a blast, consider it…read moredinner and a show for the price of your meal. Kings Highway at the Ace Hotel does an excellent job of making you feel like royalty, which is important, because the menu prices certainly expect you to feel that way. But let's be honest, it's still a hotel restaurant. And hotel restaurants in premium destinations, like Palm Springs, rarely cater to travelers with beer budgets with champagne tastes. You're paying for the location, the atmosphere, and here specifically the mythology wrapped around this property as much as the meal itself. For this isn't just any hotel, this is the Ace Hotel. It is practically sacred ground for the hipster pilgrimage. Its OG ground zero for the influencer backdrop. In many ways, its trajectory mirrors what happened to Coachella or Burning Man: once an affordable, quirky alternative experience, now polished into a premium-priced cultural institution. Still, despite a few noticeable cracks in the armor, there's a lot to like here. First, the food. The meatloaf was soft, juicy, and flavorful. It's comfort food without becoming pretentious. The carrots were cooked perfectly. Those were tender, but still with enough firmness to remind you they were once vegetables. The mashed potatoes were exactly what mashed potatoes should be comforting and neutral. A great backdrop to the main. While scanning the fine details of the menu, there's a small line buried almost in fine print atop the dinner selection offering a glass of wine or beer with your entrée for an additional $8. As silly as it sounds, that qualifies as a bargain. Then came dessert - a warm sticky toffee date cake topped with vanilla ice cream, candied pecans, and caramel drizzle. Spectacular!!! I was lucky because it wasn't even on the menu yet, but I won it during on a game of BINGO. And BINGO night itself was pretty darn entertaining. Norma Lee High and Ms. Cherry Superstar kept the entire room moving with sharp narration, quick banter, and infectious energy. Their chemistry carried the night and gave the restaurant an atmosphere that felt more like dinner theater than simple dining. It's not filthy, adult, or aggressive, but for whatever reason its just not designed for everyone. There are references younger guests miss. If you proudly voted for Marco Rubio or Ted Cruz, Tuesday night at Kings Highway may not be your scene. Now with all that said, some issues did appear, but none of these were devastating individually, but collectively enough to dull the shine a bit. For starters, the public-facing information for the restaurant desperately needs attention. The online BINGO times are incorrect, some listings still reference 2025 dates, the start and end times are wrong, and the online menu doesn't match the physical menu they hand you at the table. And one menu item stretched the truth. The ribs advertised "homemade BBQ sauce," yet sitting behind the counter was a commercial sauce bottle bought in bulk. It's a small detail, but details matter when you're charging premium prices. Then there are the sticky counters. Strangely enough, this isn't a cleanliness issue. The counter itself were clean. The tackiness likely comes from years of commercial sanitizers slowly breaking down the varnish, leaving behind a sticky film that some might mistake as something other than clean. In reality, it probably means they wipe the counters down constantly. They just haven't refinished the surface in a very long time. So the issue is upkeep. Speaking of upkeep, there is a 5% dine-in surcharge. A surcharge that does not go to the staff feels less like hospitality and more like naked profiteering. At least if the cost were simply built into the menu prices, the service staff would likely benefit from increased tip percentages alongside the restaurant itself. Additionally, when the bill is presented it's by the handheld computer that never leaves the servers hand. There's no physical copy. There's no chance to review and calculate. It's an under the gun sort of thing. I don't have those anxieties, but others may. I do enjoy a more leisurely approach to settling the bill because it is all part of the dining experience. All these financials as presented, leaves a sour final impression after an otherwise genuinely good dining experience and entertaining night. Lastly, and this is more about Palm Springs as a whole than Kings Highway specifically, I hope the city avoids falling into the same trap Vegas did years ago when the experience starts getting overshadowed by the price tag. Because once that happens, people stop talking about the atmosphere, the food, or whatever. They only talk about what everything cost. Still, Kings Highway succeeds where many hotel restaurants fail in that at least on Tuesday nights it gives you a memorable evening. Maybe not a perfect one, but definitely one you'll talk about afterward.

I've been coming to Kings Highway at the Ace Hotel for many years, and what has always kept me…read morecoming back is their attentive, outstanding customer service. This was over cooked. The diced potatoes were nice and crunchy, but there wasn't any seasoning on them. On the other hand, the Breakfast Bowl was quite refreshing. My pic doesn't do justice to the freshness and variety of this bowl. The coconut milk was sweet and pared well with the fruit. The texture of the granola and coconut shaving nicely contrasted with the bananas and berries. Mixed through the coconut milk was the red quinoa which made the milk more substantial.
