The portions are getting smaller every time I order and the pancake the size of a silver dollar, not right

Just went to Denny's on my way to Vegas, and was the worst experience sat for 15 minutes nobody came to help me and when I asked the waitress if she can tell me who can help me, she said she didn't know with an attitude. The place didn't even have a manager onsite. I ended up walking away and when next door to Richis diner and the service was great. This Denys doesn't even deserve a one star. read more

Elesbeth is by far the RUDEST server there. Was in town visiting with an old friend and had a lot of catching up to do, some time after our meal she comes up to me and goes "My shift is almost ending and I really want to go home now, can you pay your bill?". I get that its frustrating to have to wait tables at the end of your shift, but she could have done it different in two ways. 1.She could have given her table to another server, or 2. asked a hell of a lot more politely. Another thing that we all found odd was that she didn't even bring out our food, the chef did?? It was pretty dead that night, and she wasn't checking on other tables. Over all I think she needs to be re-trained on how to properly talk to people...I've been in customer service for five years and I would never dream of speaking to customers the way she did. read more

I wish I can give no stars. This place is so nasty and not put together. Not only do the waitress not know what there doing , there is only one cook, and even after waiting so long for the food items were missing , and uncooked. Worst ever. Server refuse to alter anything on the menu even though it clearly says that we can. Toast for hash brown and he says no. What kind of place is this. Just ordered some nachos off of grubhub. Received less than 1/3 of the normal order for $20 with all of the taxes. My kids literally ate 3 chips each. You take advantage of a delivery service where the customer cannot complain....it is NO wonder you only have 2 stars. Never again. read more

Cool...I got to watch my waitress eat with her family...foodless!..but I got a 10% discount even though 20% of my food was missing...55 minutes after I ordered...Lumberjack slam with no toast (I said whole wheat) and no ham...waitress half-asses the order because her family was waiting on the table across from us..What's the opposite of VIP? We have been eating at Dennys for 30+ years.Today we had breakfast at the Dennys in Victorville and we were charged an extra .99 per person for a tiny packet of peanut butter.We did not know about the extra charge until we paid the bill.They told us it was a side.We have NEVER BEEN CHARGED for peanut butter all the years we have eaten at Dennys.Rip Off read more

I came in trying to get away from the worries of my life and just have a moment to write a letter to a friend. My server Jose was exactly what I needed tonight. All I ordered was coffee to take away the chill of the night and write my letter. Jose made sure my cup stayed filled and even offered me flavored creamer to make the coffee more enjoyable. He made sure my experience was enjoyable and even asked if I was able to get everything I needed to done while I was there. I don't know why this is two stars. The food & service was good. Friendly. Bathroomz clean. The only issue i had is i thought i left my credit card here & it took 4-5 calls for them to answer. I know what you're thinking. 4 stars...really? I know...I know...the place has two major strikes before I even start. It's Denny's and it's in Victorville. Once you come to the conclusion that it's not gourmet dining, there will not be a wine pairing menu, and you're likely to kick your way through a pack of vagrants on the way in, it's actually good (for Denny's). I stopped here on the long drive to Las Vegas (Why else would I be in Victorville?). The service was great. Our order was taken and arrived quickly, the food was hot, fresh, and prepared as ordered, and our drinks never came close to empty. I did endure about a minute of unpleasantness from the bum who made his way in and began begging for money from table to table. But the manager was quick to ask the guy to leave. And based on his lingering scent, the requested funds were NOT intended for food (unless you want to count grain alcohol or a stout dark beer as food). If you find yourself in this part of California, then you can't go wrong here. read more

We walked here after leaving our car to be worked on. We were greeted & seated immediately. Our server was wonderful and even gave us the best price for our meals. We asked if we might sit in the back part of the restaurant and read so we didn't take up needed space. She said, "Of course!" She even came by later & asked if we wanted more coffee. I don't EVER complain because I've always ordered myself the cheapest thing on the menu, however, I went to this Denny's just yesterday and ordered myself the steak medium rare. When it came out it looked white as if it were pork. Then I realized they had cooked it in water. I was soooo upset and just left it on the plate. Worse Denny's ever, while me and my husband were there, a lady @ another table had a so-called service dog sitting in the booth nest to her eating out of her plate and slobbering and licking the table, turning around in the booth trying to put his nose in other customer's food, I told the manager, she acted like she didn't know what was going on. Then when the lady left they wiped off the table, and then used the same towel and wiped off another table. My little one wanted to come here for his birthday this year, I was really shook that this place was his decision because Bj's is his fav place to eat. I should have went to the Denny's on Hwy 18 but I didn't want to drive down that way (always follow your first mind) Long story short, my food came to me burnt so I asked that it be recooked it didn't look right nor did it taste right. But before I sent it back I put a piece of napkin under a potato. Yep you guessed it, I got that same plate back. How nasty is that. Everyone there should be thrown in the trash starting with the cook for making some shit like this and the waitress/waiter because they are the second person that see this mess and manager/s for not listening to the customer. If I get 2 complaints about a meal a cook put out that ass is gone. Not only is this Denny's serving the community this food this Denny's is serving guest of Victorville this food leaving a BAD TASTE in their mouth. I vote that this DENNY'S @ 14244 VALLEY CENTER DR. be thrown in the dumpster and everything and everybody that works there be thrown in the trash. Put the Norms there or a Cheesecake Factory there in it's place better yet a place named ALL THINGS FRUIT. Fruits from all over the world. Came here with the family and had a mediocre experience. First, my daughter got a kids menu and it had been colored in. Asked for a second one, and IT was colored in. Then, we waited over 30 minutes for our food. I asked for my burger plain because I do not like pickles or tomatos. Especially because whatever they touch they leave a taste and odor. Of course, when it arrived, it had everything I didn't want on it. When my wife's pancakes arrived, they were overcooked and black! Seriously? How do you ruin pancakes? The waitress, Rahkea, was friendly, but was extremely overshadowed by the awful food. Denny's does discriminate against people: anyone who is hungry or is in a hurry. read more

Place had horrible service.left us waiting 15 minutes before taking our drinks. Attended other tables who came after us. Brought our food out and didn't bring silverware. Has us waiting 10 minutes for that. We asked for non plastic silverware said that they didn't have it but gave it to other tables non plastic silverware. Coffee with nothing to stir it with. We were a table for two and when we came in it took 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge that we were here, but that wasn't the problem. It took an hour for us to get our food and when we did the sandwich we got had burnt bread, dry chicken and to top it off it wasn't even the sandwich we ordered it was something completely different. Denny's is probably the best dinner I have ever been too. However, it's really convenient. Whenever I go out and get drunk this is the place where I go till I sober up. Last time I was there I had a salad with chicken and I could barely eat it; it was terrible. For dessert I got the famous Banana Split, and I really liked it. I wonder whether the dessert was really good or I was too drunk to make a fair judgement. Either way, three stars for the convenience and fair prices. read more
