It's Sunday, January 13th. I arrived at 6:20am. Waitress is Linda, she just walked past me to serve other table. At 6:23, Linda sent the Cleaning person to bring me coffee instead of her as a waitress doing her Damn job. I have had this ongoing problem with Linda for a while. It all started over me not leaving her a tip one day that she did nothing to deserve a tip; she had the cleaning person bring me my coffee and the cook bring the food that time and she expected a tip. Now she doesn't want to serve me even though she caused the situation. Here i am today with the same DumbAss situation. Cleaning person brings coffee. Coffee is cold that coffee mate creamer won't blend in. Waitress just keeps walking around, doesn't even see that there is a problem. 6:36am, i yell out if I can get a hot cup of coffee. All Linda can say is that "I have a right to refuse service". For what? Starting a situation that just an apology takes care of. Her service or lack of SUCKS!!!!!!!!!! I have to say we've been ordering a lot of take out from different restaurants since Covid and our experience today was absolutely the best service by far. I would give the food 2 1/2 Stars. Service - My waiter was Max, he was hella koo. He made sure our dinks were refilled, was very polite and pleasant. I would give his service 4 Stars. Wait time - We were told it would be a 10 minute wait for our party of 8. It took them 45 minutes to seat us. Thats 4 times the wait they quoted us. Cleanliness - "0". The bathrooms are disgusting, an our table had food, spilled drinks etc. on it when we were being seated. The hostess had to clean the table herself to seat us. Resturaunt Vibe - Literally this resturaunt felt like a damn "WELFARE OFFICE". No BS. From the amount of bad Azz kids that were crying on the floor and their parents were not doing a damn thing about it, to the trailer lookin teenager who passed out across the bench in the waiting area, to the 3 seniors who were lugging around their oxygen tanks with masks attached to their faces, to the 2 bum azz tweakers who came in with a puppy stuffed in their coat, this place literally felt like a damn "WELFARE OFFICE". This Denny's has a special place in my heart. I grew up with it. Family lunches when we occasionally went to a "real restaurant" (we were poor), then food after homecoming dances, 3AM meetups with friends when I visited from college, post-club sober-up food, etc. It's been around for years and has seen me grow up (and probably thinks I'm a drunk as an adult, if walls could talk). I came here on Christmas Eve to meet an old, dear friend, since it was either that or hanging out with mothers or grandmothers. Denny's food isn't bad and gets an unfair rep, but isn't memorable. It's Denny's. You come here because it's dependable, it's open late, and where else can you go on Christmas Eve? They even have a Hobbit menu, entirely in Spanish! If that's not a selling point, I don't know what is. Our waiter was sweet and a little forgetful. But we lingered for hours, were left alone for the most part, got to relax, and drink lots of coffee and fries that were smothered in cheese, ranch, and bacon. Went there this morning on our way out of town. A little long of a wait, but was to be expected due to half occupancy restrictions. Food was good and quick. Glad they had the berry crepes. Sooo good. Server was attentive and friendly. My only complaint was a customer left a $1.00 tip at another table. With only half the customers, these servers rely on tips now more than ever. Food was good. Food csme within 15 minutes despite being busy at midnight. This location is on the way hime from las Vegas so you can imagine how busy it csn get especially after being stuck in traffic for over 2 hours from the Nevada border to here. Here's the bad part. My partner got her order but I either got someone else order or they got the chicken fried steak dinner mixed up with breakfast items. Also no utensils came with our meal. Had to flag down the waiter again. Only on cook on duty on a Sunday? With huge Vegas crowds coming home? I hold the management responsible for any issues. Not sure if we will eat here again. The other night I had went to this Dennys and it was quite packed. There were only 2 servers working I believe, but let me tell you, they pulled it off. I didn't get the young lady's name who had assisted my server, but she did a great job as well. My servers name was Joe . He had exceptional customer service and I always appreciate that . He was very attentive and kind. Even tho he was so busy and attending to the needs of the restaurant, he kept such a positive energy and did a great job serving throughout. Look, I've been coming here for years. Lately, they've changed their management and staff so often the Denny's standard is lost. I can confidently say this is the worst Denny's in the high desert out of Adelanto, Hesperia and Apple Valley. Please go to any other Denny's, don't support the rude customer service at this particular Denny's. To top is off, today my food was undercooked and my scrambled eggs had pieces of who knows what in it. I'm willing to change my review if this Denny's can fix their environment. I had by far the worst experience here. I had ordered the "Ultimate Omelette" (Has lots of veggies). Halfway through eating my omelette, I noticed there was a HUGE GREEN BUG that was cooked in my omelette. I was horrified! I then brought it to the Managers attention, which he then confirmed it was a bug. He stated "These bugs are normally in the spinach".
