So since moving to LA only 8 months ago yelp has been my bible. I very rarely write reviews but I have too write one for dental 2000. A friend introduced me to dr Patel when i first moved here and i have to admit i was skeptical On going after seeing the not so many stars for dental 2000. plus it not so close to me as I work in Anaheim. But that being said I thought I would check it out after being referred. I have to say that the offices are a little tucked away,parking is easy, and once your there Dr patel's team takecare of everything. I had a couple of root canal's that needed doing and dr Patel totally calmed my nerves and did the procedure with no stress or hast which made me feel calmer. Requested a complimentary Consultation. After I explained to the Dentist what I wanted performed I had to wait till a woman came up with an estimate. Gone are the days when you go to a consultation and the Dentist comes up with the cost. They had advertised some of the procedures I wanted in an advertisement in the local newspaper that day, which is why I went for a consultation. Hold on to your wallet if you go for an estimate!! I was left with the impression hat this is a BUSINESS FIRST and a Dental Office is SECONDARY. Further, I was warned that the estimate was only good for that day. I usually hate going to the dentist but the staff took their time during my x-rays & cleaning. I have been going to this doctor for years and i find that his bedside manner is complemented by his ability to do what he does fast, and well. I have been to other dentists in the area for cleanings, whitening trays, and cavities, and I would usually feel cheated. my neighbor recommended Dr. Patel so I gave it a shot and now here i am paying it forward. only complaint is that they ran out of sugar free candy once, but i'll live. p.s. the staff was great too. i usually notice redundancies and inefficiencies that waste my time, but i walked out pretty lax and without complaint. it didnt change my life (and it shouldnt have to), but the doc did what he needed to and i was happy with it. read more

I've been going to Dental 2000 for about 6 years. They were the only office open when I had a dental emergency on a holiday weekend, and I've been going ever since. I've had nothing but good experiences with Dr. Patel and his staff. They're friendly, helpful, and make the dental process as painless as possible. I had a lot of work to finish when I first started going, and we worked out a good schedule. In terms of dental work, Dr. Patel is fantastic at explaining what work you're having done while you're in the chair, and his staff talks through your options (and their costs) before you get work done. Just like with all dentists, there's a bit of a hard sale on extra services, but they don't push you once you say no. They're almost too good at reminding you about upcoming visits and to schedule new appointments, but I appreciate the reminders and it's to know they (or their computers) care. I have been currently going to this doctor for many years now, and I have been amazed of the customer service and the helpfulness of all of the staff members. Their hygienist especially made me feel welcome and taught me about the ways of good dental hygiene. Out of all the other Denists that I have been to, dr. Patel helped me and did not regard me as another money maker. Overall this dental 2000 is a must. I am a long time patient of dental 2000 in Irvine. Just had 6 upper front teeth replaced with caps, and one implant, all in one day! The implant of course, is a longer term deal( received a temp tooth). Was very nervous about so much work in 4 hours. Went smoothly ( not much fun) and was amazed at how they looked! Wish I would of done it years ago. You will forget about the cost once you look in the mirror.? Prices seemed to have gone up, but still competitive with other dental implant centers. read more

One of the best dental clinic in southern california, I got my root canal fixed which was re root canal and doctor really did fantastic work on removing the ugly mercury with white teeth crowning which looks really decent and amazing doesn't look like i have any problem before. Doctor has really good skill and experience who fixed my 7 year old worst root canal in 1:30hrs with excellent work without letting me feel any pain or uncomfortable in my mouth and teeth, it want absolutely smooth.. I highly recommend all of you please try the teeth/tooth fix with this Dental2000.. Thank you Dr. Nimesh Patel for helping me and made me pain relief. Really appreciated... I'm writing this review after my 2nd appointment with Dental2000. I purchased a Groupon for x-rays, cleaning, & Zoom whitening with Dr. Patel. Before my first appointment, I received a call, and email & a text reminding me of the appointment - all right all ready! At my first appointment, the front desk staff was unprofessional. Dr. Patel is very nice, however. After I left, I realized that no one asked for payment; I had to call back with a credit card number. I had a follow up visit 2 weeks later to pick up my Zoom whitening trays. Again, I received a call, a text & an email...ok - Lay off! I received a text on my birthday reminding me to schedule another appointment (although I'd done that at my last one). I asked NOT to be texted again. 6 months later, I received a call, an email & (though I'd asked them to stop) a text as reminders of my appointment. UGH! One way is sufficient people! I went in for my x-rays & cleaning. Again, the front office staff was unprofessional. I was taken back to the chair pretty much on time, however, the doctor was running so far behind that it wasn't until 40 minutes later that he came around to my chair. I know doctors run behind, but this was ridiculous. The back office isn't only FREEZING, there's no reading material. Why couldn't you have left me in the tepid lobby with magazines?? You text, email & call when I have an appointment, but you can't pick up the phone to tell me the doctor is really far behind & can I come in a little later so I don't have to wait so long?? My teeth were cleaned in 10 minutes tops (compared to other dentists who spend 30-35 minutes, I don't think that's long enough to have done a good job), & Dr. Patel was so forceful & fast in his flossing that my gums were bleeding in one area - I floss every day, and have healthy gums, so that should not have happened. I was told I had two facets that needed filling. They weren't cavities, but would be treated as cavities. When Dr. Patel left, a hygienist came in & said "doctor said you wanted to purchase Zoom whitening?" Um, no. Then a front desk person came in. "ok, you have cavities. Those fillings are $235 each; but since you came to us on Groupon the 1st time, we'll do them for $138 each." My response? Since my last dentist (who does a GREAT job) did fillings for $75 each, I basically told the lady she could "kick gravel & travel". She walked me back out to the front to schedule me for another 6 months out. I politely made the appointment (knowing I will cancel it later...I'm NEVER coming back here) & she told me to have a great rest of the day. What did I realized later??? They didn't ask for payment AGAIN. Again, I called back with a credit card number. After hanging up, I realized, they didn't even do my x-rays!! Sheesh! read more

I bought a groupon deal for $29 for X-rays exam and professional cleaning for Dental 2000, thinking maybe I can just get checked out and it turns out to be a waste of money and WASTE of TIME. The office felt very cramped and old. The equipments were old, and the worst part was Dr. Patel was not even there. Some lady started cleaning my teeth and the cleaning service took about 5mins after I refused their offer to sell me some other service. Trust Waste of time. read more

I previously went to this dentist and loved it. However, once I got new insurance I had to switch dentists. Fast forward to 2 years later, I found a groupon for Dental 2000 for xrays, cleaning and exam and I thought, why not? Well, just because I had used a groupon, they tried to skimp out and not do an xray when I really needed one. I asked them to do an xray since it had been so long, and they found out that I did have cavities, which they wouldn't have known without the xray. I was very appalled that they would try not to honor the full terms of their groupon just because I was a previous customer. One of the staff members were hurried, sullen, and didn't communicate at all, making the process frustrating and confusing. I will not be returning to this dentist in the future. read more

I came to know this office through Living Social and the reason why I purchased the coupon was because at the time of purchase the office was open for business on Saturdays. When I was about to make an appointment, the office said sorry the doctor doesn't want to work on Saturdays anymore. Granted - the terms and conditions of my purchase were subject to change. When I explained about it to the office, the person said why don't you just take a PTO? This was irritating because that's my time off that I could use at my own discretion. It's not her money that she's willing to sacrifice. Anyways, because I had the coupon, I made an appointment and went. The office was a little dingy and didn't really give off that clean vibe. The people were nice generally - I especially liked the lady who took my x-rays , she was friendly and nice. (She was the only reason why I gave an extra star for this rating.) But the x-ray machine seemed outdated that it took so long to take an x-ray. Also, I absolutely HATED the fact that they didn't put any cover on my face while they were cleaning my teeth. It's my mouth but all that yuck splashed all over my face and it felt gross. When I asked for something to cover, the doctor said here's a tissue to wipe it off but you don't need it because it'll be over soon. And it wasn't over soon. Ummmm....ewww. I still had to go back in two weeks to pick up my whitening kit but I said forget it, it's not worth going back. I'm going to find another dentist. read more

I hadn't gone to the dentist in a while so I suspected going in that I probably would need some more stuff done than a usual checkup. I went in with a groupon for a basic cleaning, custom whitening kit and xrays. I had to wait a lot longer than expected on my first visit and had to leave after being there over 2 hours. They took my xrays and molds for the whitening kit but when the hygienist came she said I needed a deep cleaning, which wasn't included in the groupon. She was very thorough in her explanation though, and the front office was nice. One of the staff worked with my insurance company and explained the exact cost of what I would need to pay after insurance. I could also apply my groupon cost toward the cost of the procedure. I saw on Yelp that some had written about upselling, but I found that they were just informing me of what they strongly felt I needed, as they were also very explanatory in what was fine and what I didn't need as well. They were very apologetic about making me wait and made sure to get me in quick without waiting the second time, when I had to come in for the deep clean. Shefali is the hygienist who did my deep clean and was very thorough, communicative and informative about the procedure, and provided a lot of helpful tips on aftercare. read more

Worst Filling of my life! A woman dentist gave me a filling. There was no contact between the teeth so it packed food every time I ate. I called to get this repaired. Dr. Patel tried to create more contact. He was nice but the contact between the teeth still is not enough and need to floss every time I eat. I am 62 so I probably have more than 20 years of flossing every time I eat thanks to Dental 2000. I do not want them to try to fix it again. Maybe someday I will pay to have another dentist try to fix the contact. This is the first time I have had HMO dental insurance. This was my first experience with a HMO dentist. They did a fine job of cleaning so I scheduled a filling with them. I call this my HMO dental filling. I would never go back. read more

Went here to get my invisalign done and I'm pleased with the results. Dr. Patel and his staff are great. I had to move away during the middle of my treatment but they were very flexible and worked with me. I also had some fillings done, wisdom teeth removed and teeth cleaned here with no problems at all. And they have computer screens up in every room so i can watch a movie while I'm sitting in the chair. Pretty awesome! Highly Recommend! read more

PRICE ALERT! These people significantly undercut the competition. I had them quote me for two implants and then, being a smart cookie, got estimates from three other local dentists. No one could touch Dental 2000's price. One of them wondered how they could do the work for so little - he'd have charged more than twice as much. The Patels are very professional and knowledgeable, as are their staff. Friendly too, and accommodating of my crazy schedule. The bone grafts went in fine and today I go back in for my crowns. I'll update if anything significant happens. Very highly recommended! UPDATE: Get your teeth whitened here too - you won't regret it. Mine went from caramel-colored to something resembling fresh bone, which was a huge improvement. More progress will come with home treatments. Not to be missed! read more

I put off going to the dentist for over a year and boy do I wish I would have found this place much sooner. From the moment I walked in I was treated very friendly. Went back for xrays and turned out as I feared I needed some major work done. DR. Patel took special time to make sure I knew exactly what I needed done. He was also so positive and energetic, it really made me feel comfortable. I only had that day off so they made sure to get me taken care of then and there. I went there with my son for complimentary consultation. I found our there were 3 new patient there at the same time including my son then I knew it would be a long wait. After about one hour waiting, finally my son got called buy need to take a x ray first. Another 5 mins wait then we were guided to an area. Waiting again. Nobody came to talked with us between 15-20 mins. A lady showed up couldn't find our form we filled out earlier, then another 10 mins wait. Another lady finally came greeting with us. But you know what? Doctor didn't see or talk to us. That's ridiculous!!!! The lady just talked about the payment cost............
