These biscuits have ruined my life. Because now, no matter where I go, I know I'm always going to be comparing any biscuit I have to these. I actually spent the ride to the airport reading a NYT article about the best biscuits in NYC because I knew I would be craving more biscuits when I got home. But I know that they probably won't be as good as Denver Biscuit Co. We arrived at 10am on a Saturday and waited 30 minutes. Once seated, our waitress was very friendly and gave recommendations about the most popular items and what she thought we would like. Split the giant biscuit cinnamon roll. Like, don't question it. I don't care if you don't like cinnamon--I don't either. This is nothing like Cinnabon or whatever else you're picturing. Our waitress delivered this to our table first and returned to find five of us devouring it Lord of the Flies style. It's sweet, yes, but you can still clearly taste that this is a biscuit. Now for two contradictory statements. A) Don't get the cinnamon biscuit as well as the biscuit french toast. You're going to feel like a ball of sugar afterwards. And B) ... Get the biscuit french toast. It's really good. The honey butter mixed with the syrup and the whipped cream... nothing tastes stale or like you could buy it at a store. I also tried my friend's plain biscuit. Divine. I regret not buying a few of these on the side just to eat throughout the weekend. Great texture without being too flaky or crunchy, and sweet without being too buttery. You're probably wondering how we had room for anything else, but we somehow managed to split an order of sweet potato fries (no gravy). I don't ever order these for myself but could not stop munching on them with the delicious dipping sauce. No idea what that sauce was but man... I was into it. I can't say enough good things about this place. I would eat this for brunch every weekend if I could. A Denver Breakfast Staple. I love this place especially when you need a hang over remedy. The food is great and they get extremely creative with the menu. The only downside is the line. Saturday morning and the place is packed, I could barely get through the waiting crowd to get to the host stand which is to me a great sign. I was eating out alone and was immediately sat at the bar. I ordered The Franklin. It has everything that is breakfast goodness: fried chicken, cheese, bacon, sausage (or mushroom) gravy and I added an over easy egg. I ordered a side of strawberry rhubarb jam because it's my favorite. All of the food was delicious, satisfying, and filling. I found some other reviews of the spot hilarious: people docking stars because the restaurant isn't healthy- did those people miss the 'biscuits, pizza, and beer' mural and think they were walking into Whole Foods? People complaining that it's too much food, really? And someone said the jam came in "a thimble" which is actually a standard ramakin or a thimble for a giant. I love the fact that you can get a bottomless mug of self-serve coffee for only $3 here. There are mugs of all shapes, styles, and sizes to choose from. Unique and random. We ordered "The Franklin" (fried chicken, bacon, cheddar cheese, and sausage gravy), the strawberry shortcake, and the biscuit pot pie. Let me preface this by saying this is WAY too much food for two people. We ended up having leftovers for the entire day. Anyway, I was a bit disappointed with the fried chicken, but the pot pie and strawberry shortcake were amazing! Went here for a girl weekend with my daughter. The food is outstanding!! We went about 10 am on Friday morning and had a 10 minute wait. I had the Franklin and she had the giant cinnamon roll. We were lured here for our addiction to cinnamon rolls and it definitely did not disappoint. We came here on a Monday around 10am and the restaurant was nearly empty which was a plus because we were afraid of long lines. The portions are ginormous and the flavor of our meals matched our expectations. The cinnamon roll was soft and gooey on the inside and a little crispy on the outside. We also ordered the dahlia with French toast buns and the syrup on the side. I recommend getting the syrup on the side otherwise the biscuit sandwich is drenched. The unique thing about this restaurant is there is self serve coffee which my boyfriend enjoyed since he didn't have to wait. I forget our waitress name but she had lavender colored short hair. Denver Biscuit. Um. Well, biscuits are biscuits. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. The problem for me was the balance of ingredients. Too much biscuit, not enough meat. If I were to order this sandwich again, I'd request at least an inch high of pulled pork and a reduction of half the cold slaw and the onions. That would make a balanced sandwich. Wow. I'm sure this will just be one of the many positive reviews for this place but have to leave my comments. Dbc was so delicious. I love the decor and the help yourself coffee bar. We had the Biscuit pot pie with veggie gravy and an egg. It was so yummy and savory. The biscuit French toast and shrimp and grits were all delicious as well. We really enjoyed the dedication to the biscuit. We did have some trouble finding a combo our nephew would like though so if you have a picky eater this might be a tough place. When we approached Elizabeth our hostess. She questioned us in a very unprofessional manner, asking if all parties were with us. This is a must try place while visiting Denver! Absolutely incredible food. Only reason for the 4 stars is the service. We came in early on a Friday and were told that the wait would be 1 hour. After an hour, we went back up to the hostess stand and they said maybe another hour (for a total of 2 hours of waiting). They need to figure out a better system for sure. We made the trek out of downtown Denver to hit up this hot spot and it was totally worth it! Friday at noon, we expected a wait time but were seated right away. Their setup is interesting, they service three different restaurant concepts throughout the day if I understand correctly. Based on the hour, we were able to order off the biscuit menu or the pizza menu. We opted for breakfast, enjoying the shrimp and grits and the Dahlia along with and extra biscuit to share with their jams. Both dishes were wonderful and the extra biscuit and jam setup was perfect. The biscuits were soft and fluffy in the middle while being crunchy on the outside. The raspberry jam was my favorite, although all were wonderful. The sausage/syrup combination on the Dahlia hit the spot, and the shrimp and grits had a great flavor and texture. I'd eat here again in a heartbeat. We saw the pizza at a nearby table, and smelled it at a walk-up window as we left. We wished we were staying closer so we could have it later this afternoon! read more

Will never eat here. We were a party of 6 and only 4 of us were there and we were told we had to stand there until every one was there. We asked why we couldn't be seated and have coffee and we were told due to covid they couldn't seat a table more than once and then he told my sister she needed to put on her mask which she was literally doing...it was over her face and she was putting the strings over her ears. That did it for us and we decided to leave. They also said that once you are seated you need to complete your meal within 30 minutes. Made a quick trip to Denver and ended up coming here for brunch. The wait was 30 minutes but did not mind with the self serve coffee at the front. We got seated and we had a great server. We got the Lola and the dahlia both on the French toast biscuits. I can honestly say it was one of the best brunch foods I have ever eaten. They were out of this world delicious. I came here with my cousins and my boyfriend because we had all heard good things about this place. Most of us live here and we'd yet to have experienced a staple of Denver cuisine, so we decided to give it a shot, and we were not disappointed! OH! MY! GOODNESS! I'm not sure WHY it took me so long to finally review this place, but I can assume it's because I have been beating myself up about not having gone back to taste it all over again. The West Coast claims to have great breakfast, and I cannot disagree - we do have some great options, especially in the Bay Area. However, Denver Biscuit Co. is something that I feel NOBODY can beat. Their biscuits and sandwiches are beyond anything I have ever had! A legitimate breakfast biscuit sandwich! These sandwiches are in no way shape or form "small". Their biscuits are flaky on the top, (but not the type of flaky that gets messy and falls apart when you piece it apart with your fork) and the fried chicken is thick, moist, and crispy all at the same time. The gravy (ask for half and half) is perfect with the sandwich (The Franklin is what I ordered) and the bacon and egg *please do yourself a favor and add the egg* were the perfect combination. Nothing there can be considered a "bad order" so don't worry about tough decision. If you go with a group (like I did) you can always take pieces of everyone else's food and still be content. Definitely needed several naps after the feast. Anticipating the day I get to fly back out and indulge in another one of their sandwiches and their shrimp and grits. read more
