Derosier's is Freeport's oldest and family owned business. Spanning five generations, Derosier's has been feeding Freeport since 1904. Philip, the current owner, is the great-great-grandson of the store's founder, Augustus Derosier. While my family and I were out shopping, I bumped into to Derosier's Pizza. Every state I visit, I try their pizza. The restaurant is full of memorabilia of pictures of when the establishment opened and pictures of family members. Derosier's also has a variety of ice cream flavors if you're in the mood for Ice Cream. As we walked in, we were greeted and we placed are order for pizza. I ordered a slice of pizza which was huge. The pizza was very good. It had a crunchy crust, the sauce tasted homemade and flavorful, and it wasn't too greasy. The only regret I have is not purchasing a whole pizza instead of the slice.

Omg...you guys just made my hot sub dreams come true! Visiting from NC and no one does subs like New England so we picked this place for lunch in Freeport. I got the veggie toasty and my husband for the chicken parm. The toasty was SOOOO good and loaded up properly with pickles- my fave. Husbands chicken parm was yummy and could only be improved by using an actual tomato sauce) it was just kind of canned plum tomatoes. 10/10 would return!

Love that pizza slices are available. Conveniently located on main road of Freeport ME shopping strip. Great history of establishment which is captured in articles and century old photographs. Pizza slice- a plain cheese--was very tasty; seemed to me a more Greek style pizza which I do love. The crust was between thick and thin and sauce was good. Meatball Parm was ok-no Parm at all detected and bread was like a large hot dog roll. Tastes very similar to a Subway meatball sub. I would have preferred a different bread and more sauce and real Parm. Skip the mozz cheese. Love that they have Ballentine beer! Service o.k.

Quaint sandwich shop with warm service and delicious "toasties" to match! The girl who took our order was accommodating and friendly. My roast beef was substantial and full of flavor. We at outside and it was perfect!

Went for four stars since 3.5 wasn't there. Definitely better than a chain pizza to us!

And though we've enjoyed many of their outstanding meat cuts, a variety of local items they carry and their full liquor selections, I've come to Yelp today to sing the praises of their store made smoked salmon salad with salmon supplied from Maine's Duck Trap fisheries. This salad is first of all salmony, appropriately salty, chunky, and filled with tiny bits of red onion and celery and just enough mayo to hold it together. What a great find at this fun to shop at market. I eat it on Triscuits, corn chips, baby carrots, or to be embarrassingly honest...from my finger. I love it when I discover something previously unknown to me. And though I have been eating smoked salmon, lox/Nova since early childhood, I am so happy to have recently found this. Great job Bow Street Market! It's sold in various sized small tubs at $10.99/lb. and well worth this price.

We needed to get something fresh for dinner at the airport and I saw this while searching the area. We were helped by friendly staff at the deli counter who made us a hummus wrap and turkey sandwich to go and I got a pasta salad from their fresh deli salads. I love local markets like this with fresh items and a deli when I travel and I'm so glad we found this. They had my baby's favorite snacks in the toddler section and some delicious grab and go drinks in the cooler as well. They won't have all the things since it's a smaller, boutique market, but quality is here.

We ordered the seafood combo basket with haddock, scallops, clams, shrimp, and onion rings, along with a lobster roll. The seafood combo was definitely generous in portion size--there was a lot of food--but unfortunately, quantity couldn't make up for the lack of quality. The haddock was dry and completely lacked flavor. The scallops were overcooked and tough, and the shrimp were tiny and tasted like frozen, pre-packaged shrimp. Even the onion rings were disappointing--they were overly greasy, and the batter had virtually no seasoning or flavor. The lobster roll was a decent size, but it also lacked the flavorful taste you'd expect. It wasn't terrible, but it certainly wasn't memorable or worth recommending. We spent over $90 for what turned out to be a less than mediocre lunch. The atmosphere didn't help either. The inside dining area was warm and uncomfortable. They have a beautiful rooftop deck with an amazing view, but there's no canopy or shade, making it difficult to enjoy on a sunny day. The metal stools become hot in the sun and have no backs, so they're uncomfortable to sit in for more than a few minutes. Overall, this place has a great location and beautiful views, but the food and dining experience simply didn't justify the price.
