I would have added pictures but we are everything... We ordered the Tanghulu, Dubai Chocolate Strawberries, Korean Corn Dog, and the Blue Lagoon refresher. The tanghulu was super crispy like sugar glass and the fruit was flavorful, not bland. The Dubai chocolate strawberries were perfect - large, juicy strawberries with alternating layers of milk chocolate and pistachio so that the flavor went through the whole cup, not just in one spot. The Korean corn dog was made to order and perfectly panko crispy, and delivered an extra long cheese pull which was very, very satisfying! The Blue Lagoon was equally sweet (which we like) as it was pretty to look at with just the right amount of lychee jelly. We will definitely make a point to stop here again, everything we tried was wonderful! read more

Stopped by Devil and Angels Desserts at Fashion Valley Mall and honestly, their corn dogs did not disappoint! The portion was huge, crispy, and super tasty. I love that you get to add your own toppings and sauces, it makes it more fun (and a little messy in the best way). Is it just me, or is it hard to find places that sell Tanghulu?? I'm here to say this is one of the more obvious places to go if you're craving the Korean dessert - frozen fruit glazed with hardened caramelized sugar. Devil & Angel Desserts currently sells only strawberry, green grapes, or a mix of the two. Very delicious if consumed immediately. After a while, the sugar actually gets rather chewy as the fruit warms to room temperature. They also had Dubai chocolate strawberries available which I know is having its moment, so it's more popular and sold in more places. I ordered a potato Korean corn dog, half cheese half sausage. Really crispy on the outside, and the parts with cheese and sausage were yummy. However, the fillings ended with about three inches of breading left, and was almost flavorless at that point. Seems to attract a lot of teenagers. We sat at the table by the faux greenery wall, which was positioned way too close and I kept getting poked by the fake stems so beware that table. Service was very fast for the Tanghulu (they handed it to us as I was paying). The corndog took 15 minutes to be ready. Overall we like the place, but I'm sure there are better places for Tanghulu out there. We just haven't found them yet so let me know if you can! read more

In the image, it depicted the drink as an appetizing brown sugar tea drink, yet the actual product was far more disappointing. The drink had no taste and only tasted like watered down tea. This place has decent Tanghulu. Out of the three sticks we ordered, 2 had fresh fruit (strawberries and grapes) and the sugar coating was nice and crisp. The 3rd one which was green grapes had a couple rotten grapes and the sugar coating was not done correctly. It also wasn't as cold as the other two sticks.I don't know why 2 were good and the 3rd wasn't. The drinks were terrible. 3 boba teas and they all went into the garbage. Devil & Angel Desserts has opened a suite on the ground level of the Westfield Fashion Valley Mall under the food court and next door to a ramen eatery. If you park at Deck B and walk out of the structure in the direction of the food court, then that will lead you to this LA-based dessert shop. The space has a very tall ceiling with a pillar coming down adjacent to the service counter. On the pillar hung the menu screens which forced you to crane your neck high to view all of the selections. Besides drinks (fruit teas, milk teas, and smoothies), soft serve ice cream, croffles, and mochi doughnuts were the food offerings. I selected a Jasmine Passionfruit from the Refresher category and a Very Berry croffle. The latter was a hybrid of a croissant and a waffle, therefore the mashup for a name. Blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries along with pastry cream topped the croffle. I did not ask for any boba pearls in my drink as it already had bits of fruit. The citrus taste was on the mild side despite the request for less ice. It was late in the evening so the batch of croffles on display had probably been sitting out for a while. If mine was eaten when it was freshly made, then I think I would have enjoyed the product better. The tartness from the berries balanced the sweetness of the cream. Pricewise, the items were on par with the costs at the Asian dessert places in the Convoy District. read more

I have been waiting for this shop to open! Located right between CPK and Silverlake Ramen, Devil & Angel is a great spot for a sweet treat. They have tasty soft serve (get the ube!). They were kind enough to accommodate me taking my soft serve to go and actually packaged it like a boba drink with a sealed lid on top so I could enjoy it from home. Very appreciated! They also have these delicious croissant waffles. You can get them topped with a variety of flavors. I got a plain cinnamon one and it was really good! The fruit is never to be frozen. Because the customer's teeth will break or crack. I can tell that whoever instructed the store on this tactic is trying to save money and not make it fresh and scam their customers. This establishment definitely lives up to the Devil part of their company name. I was exploring this lovely mall when I was feeling a bit peckish so I decided to try this place out. One of the people I was with saw the poster outside that was advertising their ice creams and we were all intrigued by their very scrumptious photos. The one that caught my eye was their poster of their Dubai chocolate cup, I should also probably add that their menu tv's were not on and therefore not displaying the prices at the time of purchase. I ordered the Dubai cup and my friends each ordered one ice cream cup and the total came out to 27 dollars. I thought 9 dollars each was kind of pushing it but I was like alright they need to make a profit whatever. My Dubai cup was the first one to come out, I was immediately disappointed, not only was the cup not filled all the way, it also looked nothing like the poster of it, it was just a sad mix of strawberry's, chocolate syrup, a little bit of pistachio syrup, and some crunchy pistachio flakes very lightly spread between like 5 strawberries. I was a bit confused because in the photo it looked like a smoothie but I got a sad excuse for chocolate covered strawberries. The strawberries also tasted unwashed. It is also not specified in the poster that the Dubai chocolate cup is supposed to be chocolate covered strawberries, the poster makes it look like a huge smoothie cup with strawberries on the top of it. I should have asked them to specify what it was before I agreed to pay for it. When I went to get the cup I also asked if they were working on my friends ice cream which they weren't and the worker had to double check the receipt to see what kind my Freind even ordered. About 6 minutes later my friend's ice cream came out. The ice cream she ordered was the one with chopped mangos. I think water has more flavor than that ice cream had. The mango pieces were good but I don't find that particularly impressive since it's pretty dang hard to mess up a mango. We asked about the last order of ice cream which was supposed to be their Oreo and cream ice cream cup and the lady said we didn't order a third ice cream and that we could order the third if we wanted. Then I realized that if that's true we just paid 27 dollars for a sad excuse of strawberries with Dubai chocolate and ice with mango bits. This is completely ridiculous for the amount of product you get. You are better off making your own strawberries and chocolate and I'm sure you could find the pistachio syrup and crunchy bits for much less than 27 dollars and probably make yourself 10 times the amount that I received. If we had gone to Dairy Queen with 27 dollars we would have probably left with 2 times the amount of dessert and none of the disappointment. I know this place sells other products but I have no inclination to try them. This place made me and my friends sad, do not give these people your money or your hope. read more

We saw a few people seating by the door and their drinks looked interesting so we decided to walk inside. We ordered a dalgona milk tea and a jasmine tea, we also decided to try the pastries right next to the counter Nutella with banana. Everything tasted amazing and definitely exceeded our expectations. Make sure you mix your drinks well before you start drinking them. As for the pastry it was the perfect amount of sweetness. They had music playing in the background nothing too loud and it was definitely a good playlist. As for the service you get your food/drinks at the counter so that's all the interaction you'll have. I have been patiently waiting for Devil and Angel to open ever since I saw the sign posted. This is perfectly placed in the first level right next to CPK and Silverlake Ramen, truthfully who wouldn't want mochi donuts or a boba tea after dinner at either place? It's really cute inside, I love the neon lights and the decor, I didn't go to the mall for this and because we made dinner plans I only ordered one mochi donut, the Lotus while Bryan ordered the churro croffle, a cross between a croissant and a waffle. That Lotus mochi donut was so good, really nice flavors and not too sweet. I really loved the Lotus cookie, reminds me of cookies you get on your flights o Delta. Bryan loved his croffle too, he ended up eating it later at night with some hot fudge. Will definitely have to come back since it's right at the mall!
