I let mine sit for a bit and I think that affected the tasting experience. & Service is genuinely chill which I respect and prefer. No need to perform. It took about 30 to 40 minutes for the first salad to arrive and about 15 minutes after that for the wrap which was made with ingredients we had asked to omit. Weirdly, the wrap came with avocado slices on the side instead of inside of the wrap which was very strange. The French fries came a few minutes after the wrap and they had the consistency of a wet noodle covered in oil with little to no seasoning. The salad and wrap were OK taste-wise but I could have easily made a better salad at home. The fried chicken that comes with it was mushy and served cold. The cookie was fine, good large size and a lot of chocolate chips which was nice. But again, I could have made myself a better cookie at home. Ultimately I'd rather have saved the money and stayed home.

Overall, the food was enjoyable, but between the long wait, the incorrect order, and the portion size for the price, the experience was a bit hit-or-miss. I managed to find a spot on the adjacent side street and was greeted as soon as I entered. The ambiance of the restaurant was bright and colorful with plenty of cozy seating both inside and outside. They also had a pastry case filled with some drool worthy cakes. The friendly employee quickly found my order. The menu was vast but I ordered an indulgent chocolate crepe, as I was craving something sweet and light. The crepe had a lovely pillowy texture and was so heavenly, both the chocolate sauce and chocolate mousse were so rich and decadent and had me wanting more! I loved the freshness, sweetness and juiciness of the berries! The coconut whipped cream really took it over the top and added a nice airiness. Their crepes are must haves and I'm dying to try more of them! I will definitely be back soon to this location or one of their other conveniently located ones!

We snuck through the back just to get in, people standing and blocking traffic because there was no room and space. We had to wait in a small crammed isle area towards the bathroom. It took awhile for our simple togo order to get done--which was also mistakenly given to someone else. They couldn't figure out simple logistics. There were also others who got wrong orders while we stood there waiting. They had to re-make people's pizzas while the pizza had to be given away for free because it had already been touched. My gripe is that in the future, if you're having an event, (maybe they do this here all the time), please have a floor manager to alleviate the crowd and simple operations and logistics to handle the lines, the crowd control, and providing fast and accurate service. Not just making the food right, but with time, and a comfortable environment. They could have made it more. It was so busy, that they either looked to be short-staffed or got confused on a lot of their orders. In short, in the future their manager should do better in operations and executing the the transactions to flow more smoothly. If you're having a guest performer, find a way to also make that work better. Maybe make people not block the pathways, more chairs or seating outside, have a bigger venue or open some areas to fit better..maybe they like this intimate atmosphere but it did not work for half of the guests there just trying to get in and out. This review is not to burn the spot but to encourage them do better in the future. Usually at places like this, I feel like I have to fight for my life to find a table, but thankfully that wasn't the case here. The staff was very kind and asks how many are in your party and helps you get a table, which made everything much less stressful. They also give you menus while you wait so you can decide what you want ahead of time. We arrived at 10:30am and our wait was about 30 minutes so by the time we were able to order at 11am, the lunch menu was also available. I ordered the tater tots, Cinnagave Shaken Espresso, Dutch Baby Pancake and country sourdough toast with jam. With tax and tip, my total came out to around $40. It's definitely pricier than what I normally pay for breakfast. Most entrées range from $17-$34 and coffees are around $5-$10, so you can easily spend $30+ for one person. In these hard times, that's not exactly ideal for me. I also wanted to try a pastry to get the full experience, but when I found out the small blackberry danish was $7, I decided to pass. I just couldn't justify getting that close to $50 for breakfast for one person. Now for the food! The country sourdough toast with jam was actually my favorite item. The homemade sourdough was incredible and honestly deserves its roses. It sounds like such a simple thing, but it was so well done and easily the standout for me. Visually, the Dutch Baby Pancake was beautiful and definitely impressive when it came out. I've always wanted to try one, so I was excited! I will say, I've read everywhere that Dutch babies are supposed to have more of a custardy center and even the photos I've seen look that way. Mine didn't really have that texture at all and tasted more like a crepe. Maybe it was a little overcooked? It wasn't bad, just not quite what I expected. Still delicious! Unfortunately, the tater tots were the biggest disappointment. They weren't crispy, didn't taste seasoned and sort of fell apart until they became one big potato mess. My cousins and I ended up not finishing them. One of my cousins ordered the summer peach and corn salad, which she liked! Just a heads-up that it's only available after 11 a.m. My other cousin got the skillet, she mentioned feeling a little disappointed since it tasted a little dry and didn't finish her plate. However they both ordered the Curious George drink and LOVED it! The Cinnagave Shaken Espresso was also fantastic. Coffee is definitely something they do very well here and I can see myself getting again. Overall, the aesthetics are adorable and I could see this being a great date spot. The coffee was fantastic, the sourdough was amazing, but the rest of the food was just okay for us. That was a little disappointing because everything sounds SO good on paper. Maybe we just caught them on an off day. The prices are probably the biggest thing holding me back from coming back regularly. Spending $30-$40+ per person for breakfast isn't really in my budget right now, but if this is within your price range, you may have a completely different experience. When I review a place, I try to take the overall experience, personal taste and effort into account. For now, I'm leaving Zuzu's Petals at 4 stars because the effort is definitely there, and what isn't my cup of tea may be someone else's liquid gold. I'd still give them another chance in the future... after I get paid!

Devi's Donuts and Sweets is so good! I tried the lemon pistachio, Oreo crumb, and chocolate pistachio donuts, and honestly, I loved them all. The flavors were perfect, and the texture was soft and fresh. Hard to believe they're vegan! I also appreciate that they have gluten-free options, which makes it a great spot for anyone with dietary restrictions. On top of that, the shop itself is super cute, colorful, and welcoming. It has such a fun vibe, and the staff is so friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. If you're craving a good donut (vegan or not), this place is definitely worth checking out. I am so glad I found Devi's donuts! She was the absolute sweetest and her donuts were incredible. And the best part... she has gluten free donuts! Being dairy free/gluten free donuts are extremely hard to come by. It's not advertised at the store-front, but she does have them! When I was there, she told me she could make just about any of the donuts gluten free. What a treat for us GF foodies! I will most definitely be back :) read more

We had such a great experience here! Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming, and you can really feel the heart behind this family owned business. Went to SoCal Vegfest this weekend and decided to give vegan donuts a try. I had the lavender rose donut and it was really good. The flavor combo was really unique and fragrant. I hope they will be at the same festival again next year because I really wanted to try the lemon blackberry mint donut but they had run out. Maybe next year. read more

If you like your coffee STRONG, this is the one! The banana cream added a nice sweetness and flavor without taking away from the coffee. What really impressed me was the selection. We didn't get there until around 2 PM, and they still had a large variety of donuts that looked fresh. A lot of donut shops are pretty picked over by the afternoon, so that was a huge plus. Service was excellent. Everyone was very nice, welcoming, and helpful while we were deciding what to order. One thing to know: there is no restroom available, so keep that in mind if you're planning to sit and enjoy your donuts and coffee.
