Well Dewey Destin in Navarre is a little pricey $$$, but it has it all - great food, quick service, and The View (and I am not talking about Whoopie and the others). Two complaints- 1. Be smart. You have to time your visit, especially in the tourist season because there is always a line and 2. The drink straws are the worst ever! They all are split/crack and hurt your lips. Where's an ambulance chaser when you need them. We went through six plastic straws before even finishing our meals. Good grief, even paper straws would be better! Shame on you Dewey ... you are killing our beautiful gulf coast with plastic straws. Get this fixed before tourists season begins, please or I will call Whoopie and the ladies! read more

I picked up Steamed Spiced Shrimp to go from Dewey's and was not a big fan. It came with new potatoes which were good and cole slaw. The shrimp were spiced and okay but did not have great flavor. We may try some other dishes at Dewey's during our stay. read more

So good! We've been here quite a few times and each time the service and food are great. The steamed crab legs and shrimp are very good and cooked perfectly. The firecracker shrimp appetizer and the crab dip appetizer are great. The line seems kind of confusing but once you place your order everything gets served quickly. Navarre is a place of calmness, slow pace and authenticity. Dewey's captures all of these characteristics, while also being a neighborhood bar where one could easily spend several hours sipping beers, chatting with locals and enjoying fresh seafood. Time largely stops at Dewey. Outdoors, sitting on wooden bench tables in calmness of the bay and looking at the water while enjoying some fresh caught grouper or shrimp is what many would reference as paradise. It certainly is for me. I can't say that the sides of potatoes or corn are that great, but the seafood is spectacular. The man behind the counter who appeared to be owner here is a very pleasant and if you don't like something, he'll figure out a way to switch it out and make a custom meal just the way you want it. The grouper is hands down one of the best preparations I've had on the coast. Dewey's and Stinky's are two my favorite spot's for fresh seafood along the panhandle, hands down. read more

Next to Navarre Beach Dewey destin is a destination spot to eat at! I was a bit confused but their system for ordering food is unique - order the food and take your spot at a table! With even 7 people in front of my family we were ordering within 10 minutes! I ordered the blackened snapper and the firecracker shrimp with a drink, my bill was 30 total was 120, I don't know if the food was worth the cost, the Oreo pie was pretty average / below average for 6 dollars, and the fish was not very well salted and in my opinion was not very juicy... dont know if that's because of how blackened snapper cooking is or what Drinks were 10/10 especially the spicy drink - they used habanero for a nice kick! The location of this restaurant... stunning. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful views. We ordered the Captains platter, which was pretty yummy, but not the best seafood I've had. Great location and service. Stopped here on a whim and very glad I did. Sat at the bar and the bartender made me his specialty an Old fashioned. It was amazing. Really great recommendation for delicious food in an absolutely amazing location! We went in for a late lunch, the restaurant staff was very friendly and patient as we decided. We ordered the daily special, bacon wrapped crab stuffed shrimp, great flavors but the bacon was overcooked which led to the shrimp being over cooked inside. Also had the grilled mahi lunch, great sized piece of fish for a lunch basket! Also had the lunch grilled shrimp, loved that I was able to get a smaller portion because I could resist the fried crab claws and hush puppies! The kids chicken fingers were the typical, we encouraged our daughter to order seafood but she enjoyed her go to lunch! The seating was fun, clean and the view was perfection! We also enjoyed a drink with lunch, my margarita was delicious and my husband had an old fashioned and it was also delicious! Food tastes good. However don't believe the outside marquee for the fish offerings inside. On two different occasions weeks apart they show Grouper on the marquee only to find out when ordering they don't have grouper. That's why I stopped. I will think twice before stopping again. Great local pick. Amazing local place and great food. We loved the outdoor seating. There was a long line at the front but the line was moving maybe 30mins and we were ordering. We ordered the gulf shrimp fried, and grilled special. Everything was great. Food and service was good but this is NOT an air conditioned restaurant with waitresses. It's a fast food order to go style and then sit out on porch or outside. They bring the food to you but if you're expecting full service this isn't the place for you. If you want great view and not a long wait then I recommend coming here. This is a great place to eat especially if your time is limited! Walk up counter with quick ordering. The staff is fun and friendly! Pick a table with a bay front view and within 10 min your meal is delivered. Seafood is fantastic but American food is on the menu too. Kid friendly, large open spaces so much to like about this place. They also sell touristy items like t-shirts and caps. I would definitely return again. read more

This is definitely a go to in the off season mostly because there is no line. The good is always good and seafood is always fresh and consistent. The view is one of the best in Navarre. We loved the view & vibe of this causal eatery. The food was nothing special, but the view made up for it. My husband enjoyed the craft beer selection. Unfortunately, my husband got food poisoning within two hours after we left here. We believe it was the warm tartar sauce, as we had similar meals, but I did not eat tartar sauce. View is gorgeous, food and drink are not. Had the grilled Amberjack and Scallops baskets. Over cooked, chewy and bland. No seasoning on the corn nor the potatoes. Had to order food and drinks separate. One Ultra and a cocktail was $20. The cocktail was very bad. It was called a pain killer that had only a jigger of rum and it was the worst rum ever. Coming here you pay for ambiance and views....not the food or drinks. There's better places to eat with great views in Navarre, go there! read more

Finding a great restaurant on a Saturday night by the beach can be challenging but Dewey Destin's was perfect!! You wait in a short line, go up to order your food and find the perfect seat either inside or outside!! It was chilly when we went so we sat in the open air seating because they closed the windows and had heaters on... it was fantastic!! The outside seating looked so fun especially if it was a warm night. We will try it next time! The food is really good and in nice size portions. We were on vacation and came across this gem doing a yelp review. First night in Navarre, we hit up this establishment. You order at the front and then seat yourself. We ordered the popcorn shrimp and a poboy off of the specials, as well as the hush puppies and mahi mahi blackend salad. Everything was delicious. Tried two draft beers at the bar and were not disappointed there either. It was so good that our last night in town, that we hit it up again. This time we ordered to poboy and hushpuppies again, and added in the gumbo and crab cake appetizer. Again, no complaints and everything was devine.
