I was working on my truck, and needed to remove the ignition lock cylinder. As I was trying to get it out, I somehow managed to seize it up so that I could no longer turn the key. I hated doing it, but in the end I was forced to give up and call a locksmith. As luck would have it, Diamondback Lock & Key was among the first in my Google search results, and I saw that they were open until 10 (this was right around 7:30 and the other shops I saw were closed at 5). I reached Eran (the business owner if I'm not mistaken) on the 2nd or 3rd ring. I explained what I was doing, and where I was with it. He asked me a few questions and offered a few sugestions to help me resolve the issue on my own. When I told him I'd already tried these, he offered to come out and take a look at it. I texted my address, and he was in my driveway 20 minutes later. He took the time to explain what he was doing while he worked, and in 10 minutes or so had the thing completely removed and back in working order. And did it all with a smile on his face and at no charge. Wouldn't even take the money for the service call. So you tell me, where else can you still get that kind of customer service? The service I was provided by Diamondback lock and key was exceptional! Not only were they friendly and knowledgeable, but they were also extremely empathetic in my need to save money. I had a locked ignition cylinder and as anyone reading this knows, this leaves one's vehicle inoperable. We just had Jacob come out to diagnose our front door handle that was broken. The original hardware was a cheap set that is common for home builders to use - and breaks often. He gave me all the options, from fixing the spring that was broke, to replacing with a cheaper set that will most likely only last a few years, or go with a solid, well built handle that should last a long time. I chose the top line set and after some calling around he was able to secure a great handle that matched the dead bolt hardware for a much lower price. I only needed the handle so he went ahead and just replaced that, saving me at least $200 as he was able to get just the handle for much cheaper instead of buying a complete set. I highly recommend. Normally I'm too lazy to write reviews, but I have to praise the technician that just visited from this company named Nick. I was really not sure what to do with the locks in my house, but I felt good right after calling and talking to Diamondback's staff. They only charge $35 any day / any time to visit. Got an appointment and Nick came out. I am so blown away by his honest genuine advice. He gave really informative consultation about cost-effective ways to improve our locks. It's good to deal with a vendor who tries to "save" you money (give you cost-effective solutions). I'm so glad to have a solution about my home locks. My Schlage main entry door knob/handle was getting warped to the point where it was difficult to get the door open after unlocking it. Plus, I wanted to get rekeyed. Eran and Nick were great. Spoke initially to Eran and asked all of my questions, then finally moved forward and Nick was my tech who came out and changed the locks. Jack has been wonderful to work with. We own over 20 rental properties in the valley and we need locks re-keyed and repaired all of the time. This guys always does a great job on the lock replacements. He also helps us when the new tenant needs the mailbox re-keyed as well.
