Ordered the two meat special today for $32.00. Went to pick up the food that was ordered online. They call them "Plates", first plate had burnt brisket was not sliced, chicken was chunks not sliced. I sent this back three different times while still in the store, they could not get the meat sliced properly. I ate the chicken with a spoon as it was mostly crumbs. When I think back I had paid online, I should have requested a refund. Food was horrible, roll was hard as a rock must have been old. Instead of them leaving the previous meat in the " plate" that I complained about or they either pulled it apart or reused something I touched with my hands. I will not be going back to this overpriced place that cannot cut a decent slice of meats. If I had a way to give 1/2 star to the Dickies on Thornydale, they would get one. Ribs were dry parts actually tougher than jerky. Sides were bland. Service is good and staff is friendly. This place is over priced. I'm all about value. If the food was amazing it would be a great value. But the sub par food makes it a bad value. Service gets this place to 2 stars. read more

Two stars because the meat itself had a good flavor. First, went in post rush, so when I ordered a two meat platter for me and two tacos for my friend, they began assembling it right away. However, the manager pulls the meat, plastic wrapped, out of a plastic refrigerator-looking thing and cut right through the plastic to slice off some meat. He did weigh out the portions, so that was good. The tacos were made from cold, street-taco size tortillas, a half slice of pasteurized processed cheese food, and a small pile of meat. No heating, no cooking, just cold (see the picture). My two meat platter of turkey and brisket came on a fakey aluminum tray with, as other people have suggested, stale mac and cheese with okra right out of the frozen Smart and Final Bag. Even the roll, which deceivingly looked like cornbread, was industrial and flavorless. The "big yellow cups" for soda are a ridiculous $2.75 each for a drink. Overall, my meal of $27 plus was a complete ripoff. Go in there realizing you are going to be fleeced, and you won't be disappointed like I was. read more

We're impressed how soft the meat were.. we ordered pulled pork and brisket.. with fresh bread, creamy spinach and bbq baked beans.. fried onion and creamy spinach for my husband.. we got TWO free pulled pork with fresh bread and 2 waffle fries for the kiddos.. ALL free for our two kids to eat free every Sunday! Rarely, we find them eat on their own at the restaurant. Also, we had a free soft serve ice cream each on the way out.. What a deal!! We'll definitely come back for our Sunday lunch after church! It's pretty clean and good ambience. Servers are nice and attentive as well. read more

Finally I thought I'm just gonna walk out but before I did I said, "Is anyone going to take my order?" Still, no response; the three people that were standing at the counter didn't even look up. Okay. So I don't normally do reviews. But this was by far the worst experience ever. I door dashed my order, and the food gets here and it's just crazy. I order a ceaser salad and it's so small and the croutons were stale. The chopped Brisket was mostly fat, the turkey was dry and the barbecue sauce was so only half way filled up. My husband got the smallest three meat plate I have ever seen. I have never had an experience this bad at a food place. The bread roll was stale on all 3 meals. We picked up take out and while the food was decent they are not following safety protocols at all. Not one employee was masked nor were they asking customers to mask while ordering or moving around the restaurant. I have to wonder if they are unwilling to implement the most basic and easy measure by requiring employees to wear a mask what other sanitary practices are being ignored that we cannot see. The Young man at dickies told me that they told the driver where the sauce was and it was his responsibility to get it. When I text the driver and ask him, of all things to say he told me the only thing they told him where something was was the bathroom. The young man at dickies also told me that the sauce was free. Let me tell you, the charge that hit my credit card says nothing about being free. The name of this restaurant is Dickey's barbecue. You would think one of the most important ingredients would be barbecue sauce. Maybe this young man needs some education on what is truly free. So I spoke to the manager yesterday a young lady and she told me she would have the barbecue sauce delivered. Needless to say it never came. So now I'm thinking not only do they need to know what is free but they also need to know what is customer service. Then we got home and we were missing two sides that come with the meal. We ordered "sliced brisket" as one meal and it was all fat. I didn't see one slice of actual meat in the container. I waited in line for 20 minutes and to be fair I would've waited even longer but the entire time I watched their employees not wear masks, half wear a mask and another continue to scratch his face with gloves on while fixing food. It was an absolute shit show. The 2 only people who had a mask on was the woman at the register and one in the back. A hate writing one star reviews, but some places just earn them. I recently had a terrible experience in this Dickey's when grabbing a to-go order... Pima county is under a county wide 'mandatory mask' health code restriction due to the current coronavirus stuff. So wasn't I completely surprised when I walked into a RESTAURANT and noticed that ZERO of the employees who were preparing food, and working with customers, were wearing masks. Now if you are a civilian and don't want to wear a mask, ok, but a restaurant blatantly not following health code is an issue. Especially considering I know people with acute autoimmune conditions that order food delivery and could potentially fall ill due to this irresponsible lack of acknowledgment. To top it off, I asked them if they knew about the recent mandate for masks, and the answer was 'We aren't in tucson, we're in Marana'... yeah, I know that... but PIMA COUNTY has issued a mandatory mask health code... to which they replied, 'we aren't in Pima county, Marana is its own county'... well, that's explains why you work at a bbq place, I guess... but Pima county includes Marana, trust me, I own a business right down the street. They had the food truck parked at the VA hospital last week so I decided to give it a try. I ordered a brisket sandwich for $10 and a side of coleslaw for four dollars so for $14 I got a tiny sandwich with probably 2 to 3 ounces of meat on it dry, the coleslaw was about three spoonfuls. We went up and talked to the gentleman and said to him "hey is this right? these were pretty small for $14." Also said "you should be careful about your pricing, people are going to hit you on YELP." He said "I do not care about YELP." He did give us another sandwich and we went on our way. a lot of people were very very disappointed in the pricing on the quality of the food. Tried Dicky's curb side service for the first time so that we wouldn't have to go to the grocery store. We ordered 2 slabs of ribs via the app and the process went smoothly. The ribs were very meaty and were fall-off-the-bone tender. Great flavor and with the additional sauce they provided we were quite happy. The waitress for the curb side service wasn't just nice, she expressed gratitude for our business. I only dropped the rating to 4 stars instead of the 5 stars the food deserved because they were not wearing masks when we picked up the ribs. read more
