BACK TO THE PAST! This is my review for Dick's new 1950s style restaurant at the Crossroads Shopping Center, in Bellevue. (not to be confused with Dick's Sporting Goods also at Crossroads) It first opened in the fall of 2021. It's about time! Semi-old-timers will remember that Dick's had a restaurant in downtown Bellevue from 1965 until 1974, which became a Wendy's. And if you're old enough to remember the opening of the first Dick's restaurant in Seattle's Wallingford neighborhood on January 28, 1954, dude, you're a full-fledged old timer! IT CAME TO A CROSSROADS THEATER NEAR ME I have been here a few times already. What can I say? The service is always fast and the food is always good. (see my review of Dick's Broadway location) It's located right where Petco used to be, right next to the Crossroads Regal Cinema Octoplex. Believe me, this is the ideal location for for Dick's newest outlet in Bellevue. People can come here to eat right after they're done shopping, or after they see a matinee. But unlike all the other Dick's restaurants, this one is grafted into an existing strip mall building. No matter! It still has that "1950s look" to it. That is, it's a walk up hamburger joint with a limited tasty menu and no inside seating. (only their Queen Ann location has inside seating) But that's how they keep the service fast and their costs down. And even though it does not have its own lot, there's still plenty of Crossroads mall parking right in front of the restaurant. And just like most, if not all the other Dick's restaurants, it's open till 2 AM. read more

Ordered the Special burger, fries and chocolate shake and wasn't disappointed, all tasted good and could have eaten a second burger and another order of fries. The bun and sauce on the burger are great. The fries are fresh cut potatoes and the shake was perfect. The menu prices are more than reasonable. The staff was very friendly and happy and asked if we needed anything else. Place is clean, no leftover trash anywhere. No indoor seating so had to eat in the car which isn't a problem. Always look forward to Dicks when in Seattle area. Dick's is very popular. read more

I have lived in the Seattle area for over 7 years. I have eaten at dicks wallingford and dicks lower queen ann. Dicks formerly was a cheap place to eat burgers, fries and shakes. Unfortunately the dicks of today is now overpriced,over rated with rude employees. I ordered 2 deluxe 1/4 pound burgers, fries and 2 large diet cokes. My total was almost $20 for slop food only worth $10 at the most. A large diet coke at dicks is $2.45 for a size that would be considered a small diet coke at McDonald's or wendys. Dicks gives no free refills unlike mcodnalds and wendys and burger king which give free soda refills. My fries were soggy and mushy. My 2 deluxe 1/4 burgers weren't fresh at all. The burgers were burnt, had gristles in them and the lettuce was wilted. Dicks charges $4.70 for a 1/4 pound deluxe burger only worth $1 at 7 11. The 2 burgers were so bad I had to throw them away. Before I threw the burgers away I tried to ask the manager at dicks for a refund with my receipt. Unfortunately the manager said too bad!! This is no way to treat a customer period!! The 2 diet cokes were flavorless and watered down tasting. For $5 I could have gotten a quarter pounder at McDonald's that is much better quality and has lettuce and tomatoes and real onions. Also wendys has a burger 1/4 pound size for $5 that also is bigger and better quality than dicks. Also for $2 or $3 at McDonald's or wendys you can get a 32 once refillable diet coke and not a 16 once diet coke non refillable from dicks!! I can't understand why dicks isn't out of bussiness by now with the way they are running thier business!! Dicks used to be very very cheap but now dicks isore expensive than McDonald's, wendys and burger king. The next time at crossroads with my bellevue friends I will eat at the crossroads foodcourt. read more

Dicks on the eastside makes me so happy and the location is GREAT!! the wonderful thing about Dicks is the food - no matter where you go or what you order, it's the same cheesy, greasy, toasted goodness. The fries are the measuring stick for all others. The cheese burger is a standard by which all others should be measured. The corporate culture and commitment to employees is something to really celebrate and you can see the team members appreciate, being appreciated. long live DICKS! I can't go to the Seattle area without getting Dicks! It's perfect for late night munchies on the way home. There's always a line, but it's so fast! I always get my order before I even finish paying! The strawberry milkshake is my favorite!! Most are outdoor service, thankfully they have bathrooms. read more

I stopped by this evening for the first time on my way home. I ordered 1 delux, 1 special, 1 fries, and a large coke, which cost me just little over $10, which seems like a great deal. I like their simple menu, so that you don't have to waste too much time on what you want, so order process is pretty fast and smooth. I know this place is always packed, and I was lucky that there were only about 3-4 groups on the line waiting while there are about 4-5 windows open for order, so did not stand too much time waiting to order and receive food. However, after I got home, just to realize I have only received 1 burger (and I have no idea which one it is I got, its a silver wrapper with hamburger buns + two petties and few lettuces....), and a fries. Its not a busy hour, not sure how to missed my order like this... prob a very poor management running that place... Food wise, whatever the burger that I received, I don't know what I actually got, so I don't know what to say here.. just a regular hamburger with wet buns and a little lettuces as I mentioned. Its not overly salty, which is good, and that's pretty much the only good thing I can say. Fries is greasy and soft, which is bad in any standard. Overall all, not impressed, and will not recommend or go back again..... there are plenty places where I could waste my money on, but just won't go back to place where it cheats its customer again..... read more

Soon as I move out of state they build a million Chick-fil-A spots around town, and now a Dick's in Bellevue? Sheesh. Last time we were in town we went to the Kent location and it was the only time I've been disappointed (the burger was great but the fries were terrible) so we were a little worried but everything was perfect. Super fast service ("You just got out of the car! my wife exclaimed when I got back in), delicious burgers, and oh so salty and so greasy fries. Love it. Very organized grand opening with music, tents, merchandise & fun count down. Thanks for the free beanie!! All windows open & smooth operations. Clean oil & fryers so this might be the best fries yet. My usual Dick's Special was on point. Now we don't have to go all the way to Cap Hill or Wallingford. Plenty of parking & open late to 2 AM!! I honestly didn't even know there was a Dick's in Bellevue!! The only way I found out was because I had been craving ice cream and no where else was open! I purchased a double scoop ice cream of chocolate & vanilla in a cup. They were nice large scoops and flavor of them were delicious, so yummy that I even went back for a second one!! Soooo good!! The fact that a business will pay $19 an hour plus benefits for a job not well done is absurd. Earn your pay don't just show up and screw up everything your customers ask of you. Lots of windows but often understaffed for the amount of patrons waiting. Twenty min. waits not uncommon. Noticed that while eager, staff makes frequent mistakes, rare at other locations. Also, to get a head start on closing, they clean the shake machines early so milkshakes not available approaching 2 am close. Not cool. Miss Dick's Blackberry sundae --supplier no longer makes syrup. read more

I've been eating at Dick's for years. Lately i come away disappointed more often than not. The fries are greasy and soggy. It seems like the mayonnaise or whatever is on the burgers has changed. It has a weird taste to it. I will not be going out of my way to get Dick's anymore. read more

The flavor isn't perfect and it doesn't always taste the freshest (they do keep things heated waiting for orders), but I would never expect sit-down restaurant quality service at a price point about 60-70% of major national fast food chains. What the local chain does best is fast, consistent food served from a simple nostalgic open-air bar, and this place is no exception. Temper your expectations on taste, or you will be disappointed. Do expect fast personalized service at the window, and do expect decent taste relative to the price point. Be prepared for occasionally long lines as it has a bit of a cult following. (This location's lines aren't usually as bad as Seattle's locations, though!) They do have room to improve on both taste (especially with the fries) and how fast they can serve customers, so I've docked a star for that. read more

We moved really close to Crossroads so I was excited to find out Dick's was opening in our backyard basically. I've heard a lot about the burger places in Seattle but haven't had a chance to check out Dick's so I stopped by one day while running errands... Me: I'll have a special with no mayo, and... Staff: sorry, we don't do customizations. Me: oh... (looks at menu, realizes no mayo means I'm limited to plain cheeseburgers) In short, it was okay, but is not up there with In-N-Out, Shake Shack, or Burgermaster. Fries were soggy and also a bummer. I won't say no to a burger, so I'm glad it's close, just wasn't what I expected. read more

Great as usual. My last time at Dick's was when I was in town 5 years ago. Ni line. Fast service. However the fries were cold and soggy.

I want my money back. Food was cold and disappointing. DON'T order from here. You will be disappointed.

I hate to say this because I'm a huge Dicks fanatic, but they have a serious problem with the Fries at the Bellevue location. I thought it was a fluke but it's not. Over the course of several months I've noticed the fries, just here, are woefully dry and always delivered cold. It's been THREE TIMES IN A ROW. And, I don't just mean they're below Dicks standards. They are TERRIBLE. It seems that it should be an easy fix. But if it results from some cost-saving machinery that's being rolled out at new locations, it's a serious miss. Hopefully they can right the ship on this. It would be a shame to think of Dicks fries in the past tense. read more

So disappointed in the Dick's Deluxe burger I ordered today. I am absolutely positive I got a burger that was made at NOON, at 1:45 pm. It was the most disgusting, soggy bun, nasty...what I believe lettuce and something I think they call "chopped pickles" NOT!! It's RELISH people. I don't like relish, I like pickles though. The burgers were burned, yet rubbery. Don't ask about the greasy fries...I ate 2, and couldn't eat another. The only reason I gave 2 stars, was the young man at the counter was pleasant. read more

I came here with a friend. You walk up to the window and order. It's fast and convenient and affordable. A cheeseburger and fries cost $5 plus. The people and service are great but the burger in particular didn't have a lot of flavor, the cheese was sticky and the bun dry. read more

My kid was quite hungry after spending hours climbing rocks. So I bought a deluxe burger and fries at Dicks, which is very close to the gym. I got the food quickly, right after I paid. So one star for the convenience. That is it. Since the food was pre-made and pre-packaged, fried were soggy and oily, which did not taste fresh at all. The burger was very small, with only one patty and some melted cheese inside, no condiment, no vegetables. I did not realize that I was given the plain cheese burger by mistake until we got on the freeway. So even I paid for a deluxe burger, I got a basic one. Lesson learned, you should always check your item before you leave. I could have gone to MacDonald's or Wendy's to get better food for the similar cost. Very disappointed about this experience. We will not go back to Dicks. read more
