This place has arguably the best happy hour deals in Scottsdale: it happens every day of the week and you get 1/2 off almost all their appetizers, $2 off beers, and $6 sangrias and margaritas. I ordered a grilled street corn, a quesadilla, and a sangria. This cost me $23.41. They accidentally made another sangria for our table so we got that for free as well. There's limited private lot parking here so be prepared to park somewhere else in old town Scottsdale.

Food: chips with guacamole, chicken chili taco, grilled shrimp taco, and churros. Hubby had the governor's steak taco, watermelon salad, chicken tortilla salad, and churros. I saw this place on IG and wanted to like it more than I did. Everything tasted like it lacked salt. The flavors just weren't there. The watermelon salad tasted like there was no dressing of any kind. The churros were good. Service: our waitress was attentive and made some recommendations to us. Ambiance: we sat in the outdoor patio which is a lively bar area with music, TVs, and huge misters to keep you cool. Overall disappointing.

Went with a very big group and they were very accommodating food was good but it just didn't taste as authentic as I thought it would overall great drinks and vibes!!

Great brunch spot with good prices. Brunch is served until 2pm. I ordered the breakfast sandwich that came with their breakfast hash. The bread was really soft and slightly toasted. The potatoes had chopped onion and some cheese that were delicious. Service was quick but there was some miscommunication in our orders. My friend didn't get the right protein for her bowl and another friend had her eggs the wrong way she wanted. She asked the waitress if there was eggs inside the breakfast taco but she said no. She asked for eggs to be added inside but she gave her a sunny side up egg on the side instead which we thought was really funny. It's a cute place that has retro coloring with a Mexican flair to it. Prices were good at about $12-15 for each of our meals.

This place was so busy! We went at 4:30 and got on the waitlist. We waited 50 minutes to get a table but there were 9 of us. Our server was really nice and got everyone's orders accurate. We had the Brussels sprout nachos, grilled shrimp tacos, ceviche, steak quesadilla, and deviled eggs. Everyone enjoyed their meal very much. The food had nice flavor and the perfect amount of spice. The skinny margaritas were also super good. This place is very trendy and very popular with tourists so expect a wait but overall I would say it's worth the wait.

This was a cool spot in the middle of Scottsdale. Perfect for large groups, and had a vibey atmosphere. The food was good, and the drinks were tasty. The Watermelon margarita was delicious and tasted just like a watermelon. The bowl was a nice size. I liked the option of making any taco a bowl. Service was good. Food was correct and came out timely

Ate here for brunch and waited about 45 minutes walking in on a busy Friday afternoon. Service was nice, but the food was okay. Loved the plantains with the chips and dips, but the horchata was very sweet. It was difficult to taste the braised green chili chicken in the house burrito, but the California burrito was really good. Highly recommend trying the sauces on the table! Overall, it's a cute restaurant to go to for a bachelorette since it's near Old Town, but the food is alright.

Always a fun energetic vibe. The staff is friendly, happy hour specials are great, I always order chicken tacos, I recently tried the shrimp and I was blown away how tasty they were. Fun time for cinco De Mayo as well.

We were planning to have breakfast in a nearby, very popular place, but after hearing the queue was closer to 2 hours, we changed our plan and entered Diego Pops without any waiting time. What a great surprise it provided, and made us wanting to come back hete soon again. Very nice ambience with indoor and (mist) patio areas, and the most courteous and professional service. Food was tasty, tex mex style, and there were nice drinks too. Location is fabulous although it might be slightly challenging to find parking slot nearby. It is in general nice to just roam the Old Town streets in any case, so that is of no concern. As commented, we will be back soon again.

This place has a great vibe, especially if you sit on the garden patio. The decor is "poppy" and fun. The food arrives quickly which is also nice. I would skip the drinks unless you're getting a margarita. Our server wasn't very attentive which likely attributed to the three star review. The food is ok. Nothing super special. Loved that they didn't put cilantro on everything. Sorry, I'm that girl. lol

Brussels Sprouts Fact: In 2014, competitive eater Emma Dalton ate 325 Brussels sprouts in 36 minutes. Although Guinness World Records didn't officially confirm her record, this is the largest known quantity of sprouts consumed in one sitting. I've been wanting to pop in here for the longest time. Who in Arizona doesn't know their iconic Brussels Sprouts Nachos (Street corn queso, queso oaxaca, fresno chili, pickled onion, roasted garlic beet crema, fried egg)? At the table is a generous offering of more hot sauces but more importantly, they have a giant squeeze bottle of that pretty-in-pink hued roasted garlic beet crema. Squeeze more on, cracking that egg, and dig in! It was bite after bite of pure bliss. The table also shared some ceviche and I got a crispy fish taco on the side. It was an amazingly delicious evening with some colleagues. Diego Pops has a 4.1 star rating on yelp with over 2.7k reviews. I get the hype and the hype is so well deserved! They also have a great Happy Hour special (7 days a week from 3pm-6pm): 1/2 off appetizers, $2 off beers, $6 Diego Margaritas , and $6 wine and sangrias.

I have tried Diego Pops a few times before and I didn't really care for it. But the past two times that we have visited have been 10/10 experiences. I think it's because of the time we visited in the past. In the past, we have gone in the evening hours and it was way too packed and because of that, the quality tends to follow the chaos of the guests. Regardless, I'm giving them a 10/10 rating because their tacos are incredible! Their drinks are great and the service ESPECIALLY when you sit at the bar is grade A! The gentleman that was working the bar was incredible and it made our visit very pleasant! Thank goodness we finally found our taco spot! The vibe inside is really cute. My absolute favorite thing about the restaurant is the AMAZING SAUCES! I am a condiment girl and can't eat food without it! Amazing sauces! Love them! The green chili chicken taco was my favorite! Pair it with the beet sauce (pink) and it's *chefs kiss!!!!

I visited Diego Pops on a Bachelorette Party and absolutely loved it. Maybe I'm a bit biased because I picked out this spot, but I really did enjoy it, as did the rest of the group. The vibes were awesome and they did a great job accommodating for our larger party! Food and drinks both exceeded expectations and the pricing seemed fair for what we got. If you're looking for a fun ambiance with indoor and outdoor space, go for Diego Pops!

Would I be able to get a table for party of 13 for Saturday for dinner?

They can definitely accommodate that size. The question is if they have it booked or not already. Call ahead do not try to book online and as far in advance as possible. Make resos and for the rest of everyone reading this the next several months…

    Do they take Reservations?

I believe they do to sit in certain areas. When my buddy and I stopped by we were walk-ins, but even then the wait wasn't too long.

How do you make a reservation?

They don't do reservations unless its a larger party, just show up and put your name in

Is happy hour just at the bar?

No. Happy hour is throughout the restaurant.

How big is the portion size? Specifically curious about the breakfast burrito. TYIA

I don't know about the breakfast burrito but all of their portions are huge!

So when Liquor Pig closed, we were genuinely sad to see it go, but then delighted to learn that the same chef was spearheading Wayward and, most importantly, that the legendary bone marrow poutine made its way onto the new menu. And thankfully, it's still just as memorable! The bone marrow is incredibly luscious, rich, and decadent, and the whole dish is the perfect indulgent pairing for Wayward's creative cocktails. The portion is also a great size for two people to share, especially since it's definitely a rich dish. We also tried the Jaew Chicken which was tasty and definitely a little different from what I'd normally order. It was a nice addition to the meal, but honestly, the poutine is the reason we'll keep coming back to this place! While walking through the restaurant, I noticed quite a few tables enjoying the bone in short rib taco board and those portions are serious. That platter could easily feed four people, so it's definitely something to keep in mind if you're dining with a group. All in all, I'm happy that Wayward has kept one of my favorite dishes from the Liquor Pig days alive. Now I realize that the 2026 was a Summer Olympics and Curling is part of the Winter Olympics, but we didn't care Upon entry to go to the host stand and tell them what you're looking to do (activities vs bar/waiting). The space is relatively open and you can immediately see the fully stocked bar, the bowling area, the back axe throwing lanes, and the enclosed curling lanes. We opted for a package that got us unlimited games (any) for an hour. We started with curling and we didn't need any special clothes or shoes. We were lead to a lane and it's set up like shuffleboard (you can stand on either side and there's two separate color stones). There's ice where you glide your stones and you stand on rubber for traction. You can glide by hand or use a piece of equipment that is essentially a stick to help push and guide your stone. There's an attendant on duty to help any stones that are stuck or that don't make it down the lane The experience was awesome. We've always wanted to try curling, but it's difficult to find somewhere that is set up to let you do that. We were amazed that we finally tried it in a desert of all places. There are no brushes like in typical curling, but you still get a sense of the Olympic activity. The bowling was fun too, but it's a smaller version like you might see in some novelty bars. Axe throwing was that of typical ax throwing. You had a couple different sizes of axes, there's lanes and you throw at a wooden target. They had computers to input your name and keep track of points. It was sometimes difficult to stick the wooden target, but it was fun We didn't try the food or drink, but everything looked good. The staff were very helpful. It was a weekend, and it wasn't overly crowded which was nice. Overall it was a fun experience Some tips: If your stones seem to be getting stuck down the lane, ask the attendant to move you to another lane. That's what we did and it made all the difference Explore the rest of bustling Old Town Scottsdale. Let me start off by saying my first 2 visits were not the best. In fact, This place was sitting on a 3 star rating for a while, but my last visit picked up and made up a little. I waited to wrote this review in hopes that they would redeem themselves from my first 2 visits. The first time I came, I had Lemon Pepper Wings which came to me after a very long wait. When I finally got them, they were basically naked wings, like without any seasoning. I asked for the seasoning and one of the bussers came and brought me a cup of it. I sprinkled the wings with it but when I took a bite, they were SALTY AF!!!!! I then had to shake off all the seasoning to be able to finish them. SMH. I also ordered some Sweet Potato Fries which oddly came to me within about 3 minutes. I almost finished them before I finally got the wings. I was seated at the bar and since it was packed, I sat in the only open seat which happened to be between 2 gentlemen. The guy to my left was ready to go and when he asked for his bill, they had charged him for my stuff. Super weird because we clearly weren't together and I wasn't even talking to him the entire time. He kindly alerted them and they adjusted his bill. My second visit the next day wasn't any better. Went in with 2 coworkers for $1 oysters and Happy Hour. We ordered some cocktails which took forever again, and when we asked about them, we were told they didn't have the blended margaritas ready, so she offered us on the rocks instead. We said okay since we were thirsty on a Thursday. We tasted each other's drink and they tasted exactly the same, even though we ordered different ones. I also ordered a 2nd round of 6 oysters for myself which I never got. I had to let our server know that I never got them, so she took them off the bill. Our server wasn't very friendly and she just looked like she wanted to leave. My 3rd and latest visit is when I had the Tomahawk. My friend and I started off with oysters, then ordered their huge Tomahawk, which came with a variety of sauces and a side of French Fries. This time, we came in a little later, around 730 pm or so. It wasn't as busy, so maybe that's the perfect time to go. Service was great that last time, and our drinks were perfect. Overall, it's a cool place and the decor is pretty gnarly, but I feel like they do need to work out some kinks. Prices are average but Happy Hour is where it's at. The Tomahawk special is $99 on Mondays and Tuesdays I believe, and they come with 2 large sides (we went on a Thursday so we didn't get that special). The last visit brought up my 3 stars to a 4. I'll come again, but I hope they stay consistent!

The lighting was very moody and if you aren't able to get a reservation there is bar seating. Happy hour prices are pretty affordable as they have an adult happy meal that included a burger, fries I believe and a glass of champagne for $40! We opted for some other appetizers like the margarita flatbread, truffle fries, and boneless wings which were all very flavorful. I do have to give it to our server though! She was very attentive, made sure we had everything we needed and kept checking in on us every 20 mins or so even after we had our food!

We shared the spinach dip, truffle fries, buffalo wings, and shrimp tacos, and every single dish was a hit. You can tell they really care about quality and flavor. We also tried their mocktails, which were refreshing and well-crafted. To top it all off, they surprised us with a complimentary sundae for dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the celebration feel even more special. I also loved the vibe...very swanky and upscale with dim lighting and elevated energy. It felt like the perfect setting for a birthday celebration. We left happy, full, and already talking about coming back. Highly recommend!
