How the heck did it take me so long to learn about Diggers. One year in concord without a go-to burger place. My kid's school had a fundraiser night there so I checked it out. The burgers are amazing & so is breakfast. The service is a little slow during peak time (especially Sunday morning )but it's worth the wait. I have ordered the breakfast burrito, cheeseburgers, pancakes, chicken fingers & etc. None of them have let me down. Simple and plan, good ol American heart clogging goodness!! The best move is take out and they will accept an order 10mins before they close. I hate doing this but they close earlier on Sat.. They do not care about us the customer just money I ordered like $40.00 worth of food from door dash from them and wanted just a little ranch for the onion rings but in door dash app. you could not put any special notes so I called and they said they have to charge for the ranch and seeing how I did not put any special notes they couldn't charge me for it. This was the first time I have ever had breakfast at Digger's Diner. I used the app to order takeout for safety. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with ham and my wife ordered the same except with bacon cooked crisp. The ham was similar to Canadian bacon. We took them to Todos Santos plaza to eat. The breakfast sandwiches were phenomenal. I thought the hash browns tasted great on the sandwich. I was also impressed with how everything held together in between the thin layers of sourdough bread. Based on everyone's review, we decided to give this place a shot. I had the Lumpy Stub sandwich (Ive uploaded the pic here.) Ordered the Ball Park fries (uploaded pic as well) The burger wasnt anything memorable, one thing I was hoping for was a charbroiled burger, but unfortunately they were fried. My Lumpy Stub was pretty good. I like the Texas Toast touch versus a regular bun. The Ball Park fries were GARLICKY (which is a good thing for me) but even a garlic lover myself felt that they were pretty powerful stuff. Its a greasy/heavy experience. Definitely not an every day place, but good for those starving moments craving for that diner type food. The atmosphere was great. They had disco music playing in the background. Lively energy there. I'm giving a snapshot rating based on my first visit only. I have a softball team that plays nearby at Willow Pass fields, so I think I'll make another visit with my team after a game and try their other items and come back to update my rating. read more

Not only are the prices great, but the meals are unique and every time I go it tastes good. I usually go for breakfast but last night I went and ordered an egg salad sandwich and the crypt burger! Pretty crazy unique looking burger like something you would see on man vs food. I loved it. And the egg salad was incredible I dunno what it was but it was exactly what I was hoping for. Cheese fries look good but are slightly flavorless I'd prob go with garlic or regular maybe even curly fry or Cajun something with a little more flavor to say the least. Been coming here with my son since he was in 3rd grade, and he's now in college. The price and the quality of this place can't be beaten, and the fries and the milkshakes are the best I've ever had. They get busy on weekends. Pick up food and eat at Pixieland park. Usually my food is amazing and the price is fabulous. Today I was disappointed with the burrito. It was soggy. This morning was my second time trying Digger's Diner. To be fair and for full disclosure, both times I ordered through DoorDash, but in my opinion this does not excuse poor food quality as I eat delicious food from DoorDash all the time. Last time my boyfriend ordered the biscuits and gravy special and was very disappointed, it was completely dry with hardly any gravy! This time I ordered the Diablo Burger, a burger with onions and jalapeños between two grilled cheese... yum right?!? Not so much! Here is a picture of what I received... 2 sad nasty looking "grilled cheese" sandwiches with an over cooked burger patty... that's it! No toppings, no chili as advertised, nothinggggg!!! We ate here yesterday for lunch. The parking is horrible we had to park down the street. It took us over 30 minutes to get our food. I ordered a ham and grilled cheese, it came with a big round slab of ham that was about a quarter inch thick. I ordered it on sourdough which looked a lot like white bread and was not crispy, it was very greasy. My husband ordered the applewood pork and bacon sandwich he was very unhappy with his sandwich as well. We were told we would be giving 10% off our meal which she forgot to. Needless to say we probably won't be eating there again. Are used to really love digger's diner. Update: Thank you Nicole for taking the time to reply, we really appreciate it! I do have a suggestion for future reference though that might be helpful; the ham and cheese grilled sandwich should only have some thin ham slices, not a thick slab and it shouldn't be so greasy and salty. The sour dough was almost like white bread, not even sourdough like, its a simple sandwich and should be easy to perfect is my thought. So I hope that helps for future orders. I have had other menu items there and they were very good but it's been about four years since I've eaten there. I also don't normally make a big deal out of a messed up order but really how do you mess up such an easy sandwich?? Another suggestion is I know you prepare orders for Grub Hub and such, I know this has to have your cooks jumping, maybe do like some restaurants do in our area and don't except to go orders on Fridays and Saturdays when you're extra busy. read more

I have never had a bad meal here! but they really could use a good day off cleaning , inside the restaurant is ok but from the outside looking in , not going to lie it looks like a 2 star restaurant from the outside but serves 4.5 star breakfast/food . I would absolutely give 4.5 star if the place had some major renovations But you also have to think about it , if this was a new restaurant (major restoration) it wouldn't be what it is or what it's known for . Deliciously large portions for really good price. You should be either super hungry or open to considering downsizing your order. Pancakes and waffles were delicious - thanks to waitress who warned us of the portion sizes. I finished my waffles with eggs and sausage - hubs finished his half stack pancakes - both of us too full to move and about to go into food coma. We go for breakfast every weekend and occasionally for dinner one in a while. I haven't tried anything so far I didn't like. Curly cheese fries are probably my favorite non breakfast item, country friend steak is a great breakfast choice so is the corned beef hash or the scramble. I'm a consistent customer but after my meal today I feel I had to let the yelp-a-sphere know about it: I really enjoy a breakfast plate that consists of eggs, hash browns, sausage links and toast. I realized today that I don't have to add salt or pepper to my food...I found that a little odd but, to me, that just means everything on the plate is flavorful at its original state.
