Diggers is always good! Love this place, been there probably close to 100 times, never disappointed

I'm local, so I get to Digger's with some regularity, which should tell you what I think about the experiences. Digger's is a popular spot for many with standard diner fare. What sets it apart for me is the great service and atmosphere. I am always treated well and typically have a little something to take home due to the large portions an many menu items. Breakfast can get busy on the weekends, so consider coming early. Definitely recommend and will return often. read more

They garlic fries here are the bomb! I had to swat people away from my plate, everyone wanted some but they all ordered the plain fries. They were VERY generous with the garlic! I also had the bacon cheeseburger and it was also very good. Service was fast and even though it was close to closing time everyone was polite ( we took our order to go, because we know what it's like to want to leave on time). read more

I refuse to eat here. Staff is fine, customer service is fine. The food is bland, & greasy. You're better off going to Denny's lol. On two separate occasions my dad has found a long hair in his scrambled eggs. & i don't mean just sitting on top of his food, I mean cooked into the eggs. Disgusting. The portions and prices are good, but the food is not worth it. This place is mediocre at best, only come here for grease and a stomach ache. read more

Tried this place out after seeing the reviews on yelp...and I'm so glad we did. Love how the whole place is decorated and the service was great. Our waitress was super friendly. The food was YUMMY. Diggers is the best diner in Brentwood! I could eat here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for a month straight and wouldn't get tired of it. My favorite things to get a veggie omelet with French toast and hash browns, a chocolate Oreo milkshake, and a classic hamburger with fries. This is my me friends go to spot. read more

I've been looking for a good non overrated burger for a while! All I can say is that "Crypt" burger will put you in a good place!!

My son really enjoys coming here for breakfast. I wasn't that impressed but he loves this place.

One solid burger. Fantastic milk shakes- go for the chocolate malt. but they have more flavors than anywhere I know of so if choc malt is not your thing don't worry! Improvements: they need some better ranch. (Home-made please!) I love ranch with my fries and onion rings but this ranch doesn't stand up to their burgers. Oh, and stay open later! We need burgers till 10, or 9 at the very least- seriously. There's so many nights we'd come your way but your doors are closed. And FYI- burger places are all closed on Sundays. SO OPEN ON SUNDAYS!!! You'll have command of the Sunday-burger-market. ;-) We need burgers! I speak for the people of concord! Waitresses are friendly, service is always great, I always feel comfortable here and the decor is pretty awesome. My boyfriend friggin loves this place, so every so often we'll stop in for lunch & cinnamon rolls. They're usually pretty full, portions super Hardy, very attentive staff, and delicious food. If you like American comfort food to the max, this is your place. I've heard that other locations have different themes as well, but this one is more a bikers theme. What a nifty concept, because it's also enticing to go to their other locations as well. read more

What an awesome place! I've been a customer since Digger's first opened. I've seen three different owners in that time. The food and family friendly attitude have remained consistent. Digger is a real person who can often be found on site. Friendly and funny as ever. The food is good quality American diner style. Breakfast and lunch are the main menu items. Be sure to try the turkey cheddar melt with fries! The staff are some of the most friendly and genuine people I've ever met. Sincere and kind. They've been open for a long time and certain times are pretty busy. That's because tons of people love this place and have become regulars. Cheers to Nicole, the new owner. We're so proud of you! Last Saturday the Wife and I got a hankering for some breakfast but couldn't bring ourselves to drive down to the nearby greasy spoon for yet another disappointment. Out of the blue she blurts out, "Hey, how about Diggers", like we've been going there for years. Let's be certain, I had never been. But I was down for it, in spite of my growing suspicion as to why she never mentioned it before, so off we went. Admittedly as we pulled near I began to question her judgment. Diggers is tucked into a rather seedy looking shopping center in a dull little corner of Concord. But again, foolishly faithful to my beloved, I pressed on. As we disembarked our vehicle I triple locked my car door like a paranoid obsessive compulsive pu##y, walked swiftly to the door, and entered Diggers. Once inside we were instantly met with a warm greeting and were sat in a booth within seconds. The first thing that jumped out at me was the remarkable cleanliness, these owners obviously take great pride in their restaurant. Next was the remarkable service. Friendly and familiar, as if we'd been coming there for years...they probably recognized my Wife. But the real gem, the piece de resistance, was the food. Excellent. I'm a fanatic when it comes to good breakfast and this place has my utmost confidence. Creamy gravy oozing over a delicious country fried steak, over easy eggs grilled perfectly, and golden shredded hash browns with just the right touch of oil. BANG! Diggers you crushed it. Can't wait to come back soon. I'm sure my Wife will be in sometime before me but I'll be close behind. Well done Diggers, well done. read more

Walked in and was immediate greeted which is more than I can say about most places I come have lunch at around here. I really enjoy the layout and decor of this place, being from Texas it reminds me a lot of back home! It's laid back and the employees are super cool and nice. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. My family and I here come here quite a bit for breakfast for special occasions. The food is always on point, whether a veggie omelette or a breakfast special, and the portions are pretty generous too (definitely times when I couldn't finish it all!). The staff is always friendly, and they're a joy to be with. The only issue is that while they're an extremely busy place (for good reason), they don't have a busser. There are times where even though there are few people in line, I have had to wait forever. Other than that, one of the best spots in Concord for breakfast! read more

I made a past comment that was not fair. This place is awesome even though it is hard for them as well as other breakfast places, to cook my runny and lose scrambled eggs. Only one place that I remember cooked them the way I ordered them. Other then this Digger's is fantastic. The waitresses are great and hard working and all the food is great. Awesome burgers. Great prices. Family owned. I dare you to try their koffin burger. One of the biggest burgers you'll eat in your life. Very good though. It is diner food so it is greasy but in my mind its better/healthier then going to fast food where you don't know where your meat is from. Hungry in the morning? Stop by and grab one of their breakfast sandwiches. I think its only around three dollars and it taste excellent! They do sale veggie burgers too. read more

I've been coming here since I was young and I absolutely love it! Although it may take some time for the food to meet your table it's definitely worth the wait. Old fashioned diner popular with the blue collar crowd. The walls are plastered with funny signs such as: "I drink coffee for your protection" and "there will be a $5 charge for whining." The food is typical greasy spoon: eggs, biscuits, pancakes, breakfast served all day. Lunch is also typical diner fare including chicken fried steak and sandwiches. Hearty food that isn't half bad. Diggers is my go to favorite place. But it seems like they are under new ownership, I don't eat French fries except at Diggers & the last few times there the fries were terrible. It might be a cost saving move on the owners part but the fries were terrible they look & taste more like fsat food fries than the fries that they used to serve, please go back to the original version. Wow... Update. If you want to leave your honest opinion by writing a review of this place, you'll get a scathing negative and threatening message from the owner and his close friends. Wow, really? I love Digger's Diner in Brentwood, but it goes to show how true what I say about the concord location. As a business owner myself, I would message unhappy customers and apologize and welcome them back anytime. Instead, I get a really mean message. In my quest for character in the East Bay, and specifically because I have a soft spot in my heart for diners, I used Yelp to track down a place I have not had a breakfast in, despite having lived in the area for thirty five years. I finally discovered this little rough diamond on the edge of town in Concord! When I called, the very friendly lady who answered called me honey and told me the place was open all day till eight. I felt a warm cozy vibe right through the phone lines. The decor is biker chic, the waitresses are all gorgeous in a biker chic sort of way, and positive and friendly, adding to the atmosphere which is a retro pre-health conscious time. My friend and I arrived too late for breakfast which was disappointing, but on opening the lunch menu I realized that we were going to have a good time. The menu is funny with great burger names like "The coffin burger" which I ordered. When it arrived my waitress saw what was going through my mind immediately, and started counseling me on the various successful methods for tackling the eating of this monument of Americana. Looking around for nails for my newly ordered coffin, I found a menu of fries so extensive, this restaurant could be categorized as a french fry bar. The perfect finish to a cardiologist's nightmare had to be the garlic cheese fries, with fresh garlic and parsley sauteed and generously poured all over the basket. A match made in heaven! My friend had the reuben which was great. The atmosphere was great. Honest, unpretentious, working class and really friendly. The employees seemed to take pride in what they were doing and that makes the difference in a diner as much as it does in a five star French Restaurant. Am I going back? Of course! I haven't done their breakfast yet and as for the burger menu, I am going to do it all! read more

Best breakfast in town. My absolute favorite thing to order is the chicken fried steak omelette. My god, it's incredible. Thick omelette with bite-size pieces of chicken fried steak, all smothered in white gravy. In fact, the whole plate is smothered in gravy, even the hash browns. It's a heavy meal.. You may not even eat the rest of the day, but oh is it worth every bite. read more

This used to be a great place to go have breakfast. My family of 8 and I went for breakfast we ordered our food 1 hour and 15 minutes later no food. When they finally brought it out 1/2 of us had our food the other half didn't. Everyone's food was cold The service was horrible we had to ask for forks then napkins and no one came around to offer us a warm up on coffee. And no one came to explain why our food was so late being served When I finally asked the waitress who had been avoiding us she said they were so late because they had to fill so many orders from Door Dash!No apologies with so many nice restaurants in our area who I know will take better care of us we will NEVER go back to this restaurant again SO DISAPPOINTED!!!! read more

yummmy, yummmy, YUMMMMMYY!! my brother introduced me to this place a couple of weeks ago for breakfast. it was soooo good that a week later, i decided to take my man there for some hearty morning eats. we both left completely satisfied to the point where he told me that he was thinking Digger's a few days later. last night, i called in an order for a bacon cheeseburger with curly fries because the same handsome stud that i took there for breakfast wanted me to surprise him on his lunchbreak with something "heavy". there it was. he asked for it! and again, was more than happy with the delivery. can't wait to go back again. =) read more
