Came here for the first time ever and I absolutely loved it. First off our waiter, Joe, was a real homie and made the experience there 10 times greater. What happened to this place? The quality of service is still great but the food is horrible now. I've been getting takeout from here for over 7 years, at first I was overwhelmed that the food was that good and I lived within 3min walking. For the past year or so not all but most of my orders have been wrong or just lazily prepared. This time my garlic cheese fries were almost mashed potato soft and they didn't put garlic on them. The girls up front are awesome but I will only continue to eat here if the original cooks came back or they found someone who knows how to cook. read more

I live in Concord and have always heard good things about Digger's, but unfortunately my experience there was not a great one. To keep it simple: the service was poor, the food came out one plate at a time, the food was average, and the kids meals were bad....old, hard chicken nuggets and what seemed like two day old Mac and cheese. Poor service during a Tuesday lunch hour. Waited 45 min for 2 burgers and one order of fries, we watched 4 other groups get seated and served before the waitress came out to tell us they didn't have the ingredients that were required for our order. The food at Digger's is great at breakfast, and mediocre at best the rest of the day. The environment is awesome, it is a fun group with friendly servers who genuinely seem to like their jobs. Once again Digger's takes the cake when it comes to fast, friendly, affordable and delicious! We had 24 people there for a "Halloween Birthday" Party...17 girls under the age of 9....the waitress was amazing! She served 17 squealing little girls with a smile, each order was perfect and the kids were thrilled. Digger himself came over, took pictures with the kids and even gave my 9 year old a little present. It was such an awesome day, THANK YOU DIGGER'S DINER! We will be back as soon as we can! Always have a chicken salad sandwich with fries to go and it always comes out awesome and I'm full the whole day if I can manage to eat the whole thing. Everything here is such a huge portion for less than 10 bucks, and their burgers are yummy too. But seriously, their fries - namely their chili cheese fries - are the best in Concord. Went there for the first time last week and was very pleasantly surprised. Service was great, portions were big and low priced. The owner was very friendly and over-all was a great experience. We went here for the first time after hearing about the awesome burgers and prices. The owner was the one that greeted us. We said to go and that it was our first time. She says, "First timers get treated." She was so nice. We had ordered the a Peanut Butter/Chocolate and Strawberry Milkshake, 2 BBQ Bacon Hamburger and some fries. IT WAS THE BEST EVER!!! While this place has the best burgers I've ever had, they have lousy service. We usually get a meal to go but tried eating in for the second time today. As expected, the help was less than friendly ( although I did notice them spending an inordinate amount of time gushing over the male patrons) Women (ourselves included) received less than friendly service and were quickly forgotten. This place seems rather red-necked with a undertone of hostility. Guess the owners don't care or know how their help is affecting their business. This is one of, if not the BEST, family owned diner around. The staff is welcoming, the prices are great given the size of their portions and the food is definitely satisfying. Do not, and I repeat, do not go without trying one of their DELICIOUS BURGERS (which by the way, they have over a dozen of!). They're not your average burger. The meat patty is ridiculously good; practically melts in your mouth. Not a meat person? No worries, they got you covered! From the o-so-yummy (NON-meat) garden burger to wraps and tuna melts! Oh, and I haven't even mentioned breakfast yet... let me just tell you a little something... I've been getting their FAMOUS BREAKFAST SANDWICH for over a decade now! Found this place on Yelp and can't believe it "only" had four stars! This place is BOMB! Came here between games during my son's baseball tournament down the street. Everything is so reasonably priced and tastes SOOO good! I had the California Burger....it comes smothered in Swiss cheese, thick cut bacon and guacamole dripping off of it. Have been here twice now for lunch and the food is good. During our last visit this past Monday, the service was quite mediocre. Our servers were all in a bad mood, no one really being friendly. We were served by four different people over the course of our meal. It took 30 minutes from when we ordered to get our food at 11am. The place was busy but half the tables were empty. Would hate to see what it's like when it's slammed. 30 minutes for a burger and BLT seems waaay too long. Then only some of our fries came as one server took our other order off to another table. And no one once apologized for the delay in getting our food or the fact that our food came out at all different times. Really seemed like something was up....servers visibly chatting grumpily about the kitchen staff, total lack of customer service....disappointing. A smile and apology can go a long way. read more

It was $2 Tuesdays, so my boys and I had burgers, fries and shakes, and I was out the door for under $25 with a generous tip. Even on full price nights, we eat here with some frequency on the way home from baseball games at the Olivera field. If you can, check out the breakfasts. DON'T GO HERE UNLESS IT IS THE ONLY PLACE TO EAT! We went there after the DMV. The DMV took 50 minutes to service the 3 of us. This place took 30 minutes to bring out 3 breakfasts. The food was only served after we got up to leave. Makes me wonder if it was microwaved, since the waitress told us they microwave the gravy. After drinking my coffee, I found a lemon seed at the bottom of the cup. My wife's food was ok, hashbrowns were undercooked. My food looked like a scrap heap, my son's eggs benedict were ok. Both fruit bowls we ordered tasted rancid. Service is terrible. They seemed to serve everyone who was a local and came after us first.
